"Yesterday I died, tomorrow's bleeding. Fall into your sunlight..."
Absolutely no words about the episode last night. It was so beautifully laid out. All the emotions were so raw and real it was hard to tell if it was just acting. If you replace all the mentions of Finn's name to Cory, the puzzle fits perfectly and it's just so heartbreaking. I literally cried throughout the whole episode and if you haven't watched it yet, go on right ahead. I definitely do recommend it.
These are the voiceovers I used for those who couldn't hear it properly:
"I wanted to do something just for us. To memorialize him the only way we know how, by singing. Maybe a song he sung, maybe a something that reminds you of him."
"Singing isn't going to bring him back." "No it's not." "Not ever."
"I should've given him more hugs. The last time I saw him, he was so bummed out about some test at school and I just told him to get back at it, you know, he's worth it. It was a perfect time for a hug."
"Seeing him come to the hallway wearing this. It was like superman had arrived."
"How do parents go on when they lose a child? How do they breathe? You have to keep on being a parent even though you don't get to have a child anymore."
"If I start crying, I don't think I'll ever stop."
"I talk to him a lot. I could still see his face and I can hear his voice clearly. Do you think that I'll ever forget it? Because I'm afraid that one day I will."
"He was such a good guy. I'll never get to tell him. There's no lesson here. There's no happy ending. There's just nothing. He's gone."
"I loved Finn and he loved me and he loved all you guys."
