Throughout the years and "across the pond", Her Majesty has earned both my respect and affection. For myself and billions more, there has always been and will always be - Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you for that comment. I couldn't have said it better if I tried. She's been the Queen as long as I can remember even though I was born just a few years before her coronation. What came to be called The Queen Mother was on the throne when I was born. I always had a strong affection for her, too. She had a long and wonderful life. I hope QEII is blessed with the same longevity.

So beautifully said! I'm a 54 yr old Canadian and have adored Her Majesty since I was a child. When we would sing God Save the Queen at various functions, I meant the words I was singing. There is just something so special about her....her grace, how she is so soft spoken....so genuine. I'm honoured to have had her reign my entire life. God save...and bless, our Gracious Queen! ♥️🇨🇦✨

As an Englishman I hold the Queen in the same regard as I would a member of my own family. This isn’t a sentiment I give freely. She’s earned it through the hard work she does for this country, for the life of duty she’s given, because of the mistakes she’s made (few and far between though they are) just like the rest of us. I’ll be really quite sad when she shuffles off.
