While it was removed for Fire and Blood, maybe in show canon she had done more in the stepstones, maybe even at Tarth. Regardless, she had decades more experience riding and commanding her dragon and it showed, especially against Aegon

Although I knew that this character dies in a dragon battle. The entire thing just wrecked me. I couldn't stop sobbing and I was still crying at the drop of a hat the next day. Why? It is the the actress - Eve Best has just made this character come to life in so many ways. It was so obvious as to what kind of queen she would have been. She may not have had this title, but she was in every way a Queen. I've enjoyed her acting for quite a while in other things, but she will forever remain - Princess Rhaenys Targaryen - The Queen Who Never Was. Congratulations to Eve and the entire team that created this episode. Bravo!

Same. Even knowing the fate of the character in advance (as well as, y'know, it being a fictional character and not someone IRL), it still punched me in the gut... Eve Best in the role is in my personal pantheon of perfect casting. I shed a tear and poured one out for Rhaenys that night. #solidarity

If Vhagar died, mostly likely so would Aemond, Cristian Cole would’ve lost, maybe died and ye, big stuff. Now with them loosing and Vhagar living it does seem a waste of course. But yeah, as for the way it happened I think it’s also dumb. Showrunners somehow having Vhagar hovering or Perfectly timing that attack from the very small cliffside, as the biggest dragon of the era, was dumb I agree.

This was a heartbreaking scene for me i couldn’t hold it together, I really adore her and Meleys both..the bond they had was powerful you could feel it..poor meleys almost looked like she was apologizing or saying goodbye 😔 & I wanted her to flee so badly to save herself.. but she did quite the damage to even both of the other dragons standing alone, it was empowering to watch and devastating at the same time. We will never forget Rhaenys❤
