After finding the interview with Salman some years ago I had to have the book! After the Last Sky is a wonderful reading! The way he writes... you can feel the love, the sadness in his descriptions of the pictures... definitely one of my favorites!

Finally, the much awaited review. As you mentioned, 'the wonderful way he writes..', indeed the writing style is beautiful, and the subject is presented with absolute clarity. Only a few nonfiction writers can do that. For instance, Martin Lings in his book: Muhammad (PBUH) His Life Based on Earliest Sources.

Would you be able to advise on order of reading to improve knowledge on Palestine? Perhaps of the books you've covered so far, which order you'd recommend reading them in?

I’m building a list now, but it’s not in order of reading but under different headings, i.e. the Mandate or 1967 or “peace process”. If you can tell me what you’ve read so far and where you’d like to go next i can help that way.

I recommend starting with "the hundred years' war on Palestine" by Rashid Khalidi
