Not even possible futures. Sapphire on her own is only capable of seeing the most statistically likely future.

@@dodiswatchbobobo Actually, even though this is true most of the time, she's had at least one instance where she could see multiple on her own: In _Hit the Diamond,_ after Steven challenges the Rubies to baseball, Sapphire says, "I... saw that this was a possibility, though I am surprised that this is the path we're taking."

They unfused, Ruby went out, failed to get the Rubies to go away, came back in, Sapphire gave some advice ("Just go out there and tell them this is a place where humans live."), then Steven decided to tag along (and Amethyst handed him a bat for protection), and _then_ they decided to play baseball.

When first meeting her, Rose Quartz told Garnet "never question this." Never question who she was, and why. Since then, Garnet never asked another question (except some rhetorical ones that may have been mistakes.) Calling this episode "The Question" is doing a lot of work... turns out never questioning who you are, or why, is maybe not the best advice! And both individual gems are rethinking a lot.

Rebecca Sugar had been fighting for Ruby and Sapphire to get married since SEASON 2. I forget what interview it was, but they said it was initially planned to just be a cute one-off episode titled "If You Love Yourself So Much", but there was no way CN was letting that in back before same sex marriage was fully legalized in the US. in the end they gave the ultimatum, either do the wedding and lose international funding and thus lose your final season, or leave out the wedding and get your last season. Rebecca chose the wedding

Fun little detail: On the front cover of the western comic, the woman that the cowboy was walking away from, bears a resemblance to sapphire. Their dress looked like Sapphires and one of their eye's was even covered by their hair. That would help explain why Ruby chose to be a cowboy.

@@Eco-Friend773 yup (spoilers below) . . . . . . tldr cartoon really didnt want to let the wedding or kiss happen, because it was "inappropriate" and "theres places we cant show that" etc. rebecca fought for it really hard for YEARS until CN was like "ok, you can have your wedding, but we're ending the show afterwards." you can look that up, theres articles talking about it

@@Eco-Friend773 Yep, in many countries Ruby and Saphire's relationship as censored by dubbing Ruby as a man or cutting scenes/episodes about their love, but Rebecca decided to fight this in one episode, making Ruby clearly feminine, showing their love together and tying everything in a major lore episode, so there was no way to skip the episode and dub changes wouldn't be enough.

You know what’s the only thing not wholesome about this? That Cartoon Network cut the show short because of this marriage decision, and the end part kinda suffered cause of this forced rushing

3:30 if you like westerns, then you'll like Samurai films as well! Most early westerns were adapted from samurai films and stories. Most of the directors for early Westerns grew up with a love of old Samurai movies from the 40's and 50's, so check of few of them out. Rashomon is a personal fave(they can be a bit more violent and sexual than a typical western, so discretion around children is recommended lol)

and welcome to why the show was rushed to finish and got cancelled. They hate the gays. Rebecca Sugar had to FIGHT for this episode and practically had to choose between either doing this or getting more episodes. and im so glad they chose this. You are witnessing and are about to witness cartoon HISTORY, this is one of the most influential things in cartoon particularly LGBT cartoon characters.

Honestly now that I think about it, I really don't like the fact that Greg's reaction about Rose is so calm, man it just feels so convenient, and don't get me wrong I love him but I feel like Greg is a very underdeveloped character

In defense of the show, what changed in what Greg knew about Rose? In past episodes Greg has said to Steven that Rose has tried to explain her entire past to him, to explain her wrong doings, and Greg said that he didn't care about any of that, only the person she was now. Now, this characterization was helpful because it stopped Steven from having relevant information seasons earlier and explained why there were still so many secrets about Rose that Greg couldn't tell Steven. But it is important for Greg's characterization too. He's the kind of man to not care about someone's past, to only care about who they are now. A person's journey to who they are isn't important to him, it's the journey with him, and who they are now that matters to him. Besides that, about the Gem War, all he really knew about it was that Rose played some part in colonizing the earth with the gems, felt bad about it, and led a rebellion against homeworld, and that Rose had done some nebulous bad things during a war that he said she didn't need to explain herself for. Now, the only difference is that she was a more prominent figure, and had a bigger role in the colonization of earth. She still changed her mind and still became the person she was to Greg regardless of the path taken. Rose was someone Greg knew for decades, and Greg made a deliberate choice to not learn about the thousands of years of the past that Rose had before him. Ultimately, Rose still made the choice to choose earth over homeworld, just like she explained to Greg. The significance of the diamonds to Greg is basically nil. I think it would be out of character for Greg to react differently to this information.

@@ChrisTheWeak first of all wow! you had a lot of things to say about this, I am honestly surprised because I feel like Greg in general if it doesn't involve Steven or Rose he's not important, but I get your point about it there's not much reason for him to criticize her but still, I feel like he's a plot device most of the time, because even with something about him, if doesn't involve Rose or affect Steven is it going to get pushed under the rug or we're just not going to learn about it

In future we see Ruby and Saphhire split up a lot more, but at the end of the day they still enjoy being together as Garnet. It would be weird if they just stop being Garnet.
