That The Earth we know was not the first one but rather a regeneration of the ruins of the other Aeons ago they go from planet to planet, like roaches they are galactic cleaners. I had a theory that they on their planet were like cicadas, billions of them hibernating deep beneath the surface and when the planet broke apart they were still hybernating. Many died but several thousands were still incased in pieces of the planet which reached earth. Once they reached earth something woke them up, whether it was UV light, oxygen, something in our atmosphere mimicked the conditions on their own planet that would cause them to come out of hibernation. They even grew their food in dark places, somehow they knew to do that but can’t see, seems like they came from underground.

There is no way it's a naturally occuring species. It doesn't even eat the prey they kill, they don't reproduce at any real rate, and they're way too hard to kill. Biologically, they're 100% artificial creations, there's no environment they'd be at home in.

We know what’s going on in the Cloverfield movies. It’s explained in Cloverfield Paradox. Humans built a hadron collider in orbit above earth, they’re trying to discover the god particle (I think that’s what they’re doing with it. I saw the movie a long time ago.), they end up mixing multiple alternate universes together including their own. The first Cloverfield movie was one of the universes affected. 10 Cloverfield Lane was another.

Cool idea of bringing some sense to the lore of these creatures. So much is illogical that it really takes away from the movies and i struggle to not be distracted by my own questions and just enjoy the entertainment. Having a higher life form in control would help considerably with explaining how they arrived. For me, the biggest flaw is still their reliance on and high sensitivity to sound. Within a closed system like a cave, it could make more sense but not out in the open world. There is just too much sound, both natural and man made, and i don't see how a species new to a planet could process it all. Without reworking the biology of the creatures, it only really works on a small scale, rural setting. Not a global, extinction level event. The creature design/concept is very cool, i just wish more thought was put into the execution.

I've always thought they were subterranean to begin with, and Mushroom grow in the absence of light, so that would be a substantial food source on their world. But I was also on the belief that since they were underground, they dug too many holes into thier planet causing it to collapse in on itself. And from what I do know they only open up their heads to eat, use their inner ears to triangulate particular sounds or under extreme pain from certain frequencies. Quite a lot fell off the meteor, I don't remember seeing any report on Australia getting any rocks. A really big plot hole for me was the newspapers. Printing Presses are Very Very loud. And the town was destroyed the DAY of the meteor flying over. Not sure how any papers could have printed all that info let alone drop it off in the town.

Thats an interesting and well justified/explained theory, would be a better script for a next installment, but Hollywood does not have the creativity to try something like that. Its just like the Aliens, sometimes its better to not know the origins of the beast, otherwise by trying to explain it you might ruin it. As an arm-chair body-linguist; your body language and mannerisms are pure art. But yeah, I'm thinking something like a panspermic weapon. Even if they're grotesque monsters, they could be far more intelligent than their philology would let-on. I compare them to the bugs in Starship Troopers. The bugs are so smart, they can launch asteroids at Earth. They don't need starships and such. We pride ourselves in our technology, and we associate something feral or menacing to be sheerly instinct-based. But perhaps it's the other way around. Our intellect is stifled with chaff concepts, and our technology is a crutch.

After watching the first movie, I thought that these beings may have come from the Inner Earth (like in the Tremors franchise or The Silence), but these aliens definitely arrived by panspermia on the Leonid meteor swarm, the same one that the aliens in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within arrived on from an exploded planet. The question is, was it deliberate (The Tomorrow War) or accidental? Most likely, the aliens are just the vanguard of an extra-terrestrial invasion used to decimate the native population prior to colonization. As for their manipulating electricity, maybe their home planet has intense electrical storms and this is their way of protecting themselves from it.

5:41 Well, a regular meteor shower happens when the earth passes through the trail of a comet and stray bits of cometary debris hit the atmosphere. The Quiet Place Aliens arrived on a single object that broke up in the atmosphere. Very different situations. Also, instead of being too short, it was too long. most meteors cross the sky and either burn up, explode or impact the ground extremely quickly so the scene of the object arriving takes way longer than it realistically should. But, it's a movie and the slow fireball is more dramatic than the fast one.

The Quite Place movies are the exact definition of "Just turn your brains off and enjoy the movies!" because, the more you think about it, the more plotholes you find in them. John Krasinski tried to make these aliens a legitimate threat but in reality, he just gave them plot armor and called it a day. In reality, these things would have been wiped out by the US Military and the national armed forces around the world within a week (at best) of their landing. If some civilians are able to figure out their weakness, why the f*** does the US Military not do that MUCH EARLIER? Also, does the Director forget that the US Military have specialized AP and high-explosive munitions designed to destroy heavily armored targets? If the shotguns can destroy their organs like in the first movie, why the f*** can advanced weapons used by our militaries not achieve the same results, with greater efficiency and performance? Hell, I would have been more entertained and convinced IF the story had followed this trope: The Death Angels serve as the first wave to cull the Earth's population and the True Invaders, who are their masters came in, to finish Humanity off with advanced technology with little challenge. But instead, they went with the boring trope: Oh, these things are overpowered and have plot armor and Humanity is f**** So yeah, I am tired of people praising this series already.
