I congratulate you for this deep analysis. I just want to add that there are two forms of the verb " kafara". The active one whish mean " don't believe however the evidence(s) - miracle for example - in the existence, the uniqueness or the power of Allah" and factitive one " kaffara" whish means to buy his own offense or violation in the exercise of the faith or the rite as "to free a slave","to feed 60 beggars", " to fast two complete months"...In generative semantic theory, the racine of "kafara" is to refuse ( to reject, to resist ...) to believe in an evidence about the existence of Allah". While "kaffara"- with the gemination on "f"- is " to annulate an infringement about the execution of a rite or a recommandation with an acte of charity or renoncement". Those subtleties are in harmony with" the divine grace" conception in Islam.

@@OdonLafontaine Thank you for this etymological explanation of the racine "kfr". Apparently it s an important word in the genisis of monotheism. I waited desperately the polemic between Abraham and the Namroud( a babylonian king) who, after he flattered himself that he could as Allah make someone live or died, Abraham asked him if he could bring the sun from the West while Allah brings it from the East, the Coran says " fa bohita allazi kafara". I use my own translation of this verset " and the one who wanted to equal Allah was disappointed" or disavowed as a liar, but disappointment has a metaphoric representation as a fabric whish have lost its colors. Obviously "kafara" in this occurrence has an other meaning that does not figure in the polysemic tree. It has a particular sense " to pretend to equal Allah" same recurrence between Moïse and the Pharaoh. Both kings are the protypes of " kouffar" but because of the conciet and their problem is to deny the existence of Allah as superior than them. That precision shows how Arabic as idiom is independent from Araméen and Hebrew unless the word has a common racine between all semitic languages.

What is missing in this narrative is any consideration that Muhammad was an Ebionite (heretical) Christian. Ebionites(the poor ones) believed that Jesus was the son of Joseph and Mary and hence when Abdul Malik wrote "God is one, say not three" on the dome of the rock it was clear that the Arab conquerers of Jerusalem were still Ebionite Christians.

Ebionite is a very confusing word

Also, most of the quranic attacks on the christian belief in the Son of God make it sound as if Jesus is the Son of God in a physical sense. These attacks go as far as calling absurd the idea of there being daughters of God and children of God, as an attempt at disproving the belief or convicting it. Another thing to note is the stress on Jibreel meeting Mary in the *physical form* and he, himself, sent by Allah, breathes some of the spirit into her. Weird stuff.

I don't think that Odon is off point on describing how the Qur'an was formulated using texts from various type off Preachers,I think those mentioned in the Qur'an were of mainly Arab decent, The tradional Islam was in its infancy, but was being thought about,The tradionalist separated from the others mentioned in the Qur'an,and fighting or the wars started between them, and the alliances were formed with others from Persia lower Arabia ,then went West as well as east, and all in the way gladly took on Islam ,just to get away from Christianity,or Roman /Byzantine influence on them, in some of the east , mesopotamia,Istanbul region and the Sind region ,where most knew off this faith, plus glad to rid themselves of Hindu traditions around them, and Chinese ,adopted it too form a community against the oppressors,Hadiths were formed and are being formed til this day, written in a disguised way by writing about life after death ,so clearly and descriptively, that it becomes to sound like a dream, and it truly is taken from other traditions like the Zoarastians, and the Jew and certain apocalyptic writings from gospel's not in the Bible old or new.so the group that took control of the Qur'an and invented the traditional Islam ,are those that are writing inside the Qur'an,The aim was to convert or kill, then take over ,and subdue the weak.Jerusalem was the aim, and they almost achieved it. This is all my opinion, and I'm a Muslim, and I believe in One God.

Hey Olaf thanks for your interesting analysis. I have an unrelated suggestion if you dont mind: one of the most important concepts in Islam is Gehinnom/Hell where sinful people and non believers burn for eternity. It is the major reason why most muslims are too afraid to change their attitudes. Even when their convictions are debunked by archeology and science.. they just say: but if Gehinnom exists I would burn for eternity for leaving islam. Do you have any previous analysis about Gehinnom/Hell?

@@OdonLafontaine Nazarean means poor people, uneducated, low class people in the sight of the Jews. Mocking or insult nickname. It's not the name of a city, because never mention city or area called as "Nazareth" in old testament only exist in "New Testament" These poor people or Nazarean, they are the early followers of Jesus and believe Jesus is the son of God ( Differ from Ebionites sect ) Also in the Quran never mention "Nasharaa" as a place or some area name, except having the meaning as follower of Jesus Christ, and not all of them are called as "People of the Book". "Nasara or Nazara" in aramaic or arabic also meaning "The People who need HELP"

Awesome! Preparation for the second coming of the King of Kings, our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ has already begun. Let's hope and pray for all the lost souls, and hope everyone will be super ready! Everything we need to know about God, our Creator, and what He is telling us are in the Holy Bible. Read and listen to what God is telling you, through His Holy Spirit. Do not let Satan owns your soul! Let Jesus take over our journey and carry our burdens here on earth. Amen!

Another thing missing is the extent to which Islam borrowed from the the Romans. Rome said "Worship our gods or I'll throw you to the lions. When Romans became (Catholic) Christians, all other non conforming Christians were driven out of Roman territories. Religion was used to control. 'Muhammad' copied this idea. - "Convert or die". Previously Muhammad had said "There is no compulsion in religion" which was the Nabatean tradition.

This was more or less the same in many empires. In the Sassanid empire, christianity was a State religion, an official one. But only the kind of christianity that the emperor had allowed (a Nestorian christianity), excluding any other form. The emperor had made a sort of a deal with a patriarch, who had so a monopoly on Persian christianity
