What is the traditional view on the compilation of the Quran? How many times was it collected as a codex? Does the traditional view on the compilation account match recent discoveries in the early Quranic manuscripts? What are some of the problems with the compilation of the Quran, even based on this traditional view? Join Al and Jay in this episode as they unpack this topic.

None, why should there be? But Quran 5:51 "O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies..." No problems with that??? We are Kufar. Or 5:33 "Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. " Really tolerant and peacefull. Moreover if you consider the part "and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption" "Corruption" always means disbelief in the Quran, and I am a disbeliever, so according to the Quran I have to be crucified.

I can almost see a Monty Python skit on what was discussed here to explain why we don't have the original Quran 1) Gabriel orders Muhammad to read and he says, "I don't read". 2) Muhammad orders his secretary to write and he says "I don't write" 3) Gabriel tells the sheep to eat and the sheep being the only one to obey, eats the Qur'an. Being the only one obedient on Earth, the sheep ends up in Paradise with 72 virgins (sheep presumably)

Ok, I hope you guys aren't hoping to win any popularity contest amongst the ummah! But, I stubbed my toe on a claim that came during the first minute of this video. Muslims claim the Quran is an "eternal" book, and I've heard that from dozens of Muslims. BUT, I will need the eternality of the Quran made to harmonize with what Allah has stated (and Muslims really need to stop changing this god's words, if they want us to respect their numen) in al Ahqaf [46.12]: "When before it [the Quran] there was the Scripture of Moses, an example and a mercy; and this is a confirming Scripture in the Arabic language" The Taurat predates the eternal Quran? What in bloody flippin' hell does that even mean? How do Muslims define "eternal", and where can I get a copy of their dictionary? Do Muslims realize that to defend Islam, they must call Allah a liar because of what he said in their book? So, I need a Muslim to solve this conundrum for the sane world, those who actually believe words have meanings and definitions. Is Allah this great deceiver, was Allah just too stupid to know how to communicate, or are Islam's teachings like trying to sweep up feathers or herd cats? This is the pig-ignorant entity for which we doubters are suppose to die, to have heads and sundry body parts chopped off with the sword of Allah's lies and lunacy? NO!!! I refuse to become as stupid as Allah would require of me. I will not abandon the holy Christ for this lunatic liar of Islam!

*music2306lover* I know the Quran implicitly declares that, but you need to show me the precise words that blatantly say "Allah is Satan". I know from the Bible, that Satan knows scripture, but the authors of the Quran were ignorant of it. So, I'll appreciate your reference; I love learning new thingies! I can't believe that I would have overlooked those very words.

According to the Quran, Allah is the best of deceivers. See answering-islam.org/Shamoun/allah_best_deceiver.htm for the references. And who is the Father of Lies? "Satan's promises are nothing but deception." (4:20, Yusuf Ali translation).
@FreeRadical7118

*Richard O'Keefe* I don't need to learn Quran from answering-islam. I have an even dozen of them on my bookshelves, having studied Islam since 2001. Allah says he's the "best of deceivers" in al Imran [3.54] That is why I asked musliclover to give a reference for his claim that the Quran actually says "Allah is Satan". I don't believe those words are found anywhere in Quran, so I wanted to see from where/whom he's learning Islam. I want Christians to be very careful, not careless, of what we say, because it reflects on the body of Christ. If we're careless in our claims, how are we then different from the Muslims' claims? I'm also not fond of the Yusuf Ali translation, but it should be 4.120, so you made a typo. Yes, that well describes Allah, but I asked for the specific words that were in a comment to me. I already said the Quran implies that Allah and Satan have identical personalities. 'Nuff said!

*Warrior Linda Clark* _I find it hard to believe Muhammad couldn't read or write._ There might be reason to doubt that claim, Linda. Tabari 9:174 on Mohammad's death bed "The Messenger's pain became so severe he said, 'Give me pen and paper so I may write a document for you so you will never go astray after me.'" Bukhari records similar accounts in at least two places, and Abu Dawud (also from the Sahih Sittah) also contains a strange record, indicating that Muhammad did read and write: "Narrated Amir ibn Shahr: ……..Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) wrote the document for Umayr Dhu Marran……" (Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 19, Number 3021) See why Muslims don't study their own texts? All the contradictions would cause their heads to spin off their shoulders.

The Christian Prince (CP) has pointed out that ‘illiteracy/ being illiterate’ was not so much about the ability to read or write but ‘literacy’ was a term to denote those who knew the Taurat & Injeel. If someone was not well-versed - did not know these, one was referred to as illiterate. It sates it clearly in the Quran/Hadith. I learned this while listening to CP. He backs up everything he says. So muhammed my have not been able to read or write at all or only very weakly but he had no knowledge of scripture (Taurat or injeel) the quran defined such people as illiterate.

I saw a man who recited the entire Gospel of Mark, word for word, without a single error at my Chucrch. The lolards of England assigned people to memorize entire books of the English translation of the Bible and thus between them the entire Tynsdale translation was kept alive by the collective memory of the town when the Roman Church burned all the copies they could find. This presentation woefully underestimates the capacity for committed people to memorize. The game of chinese whispers takes away the corrective power of repeating back what was first heard. As a physician, when I give a verbal order to a nurse, it is repeated back to me and by this medical errors are often eliminated. I am NOT stating that the Koran was perfectly preserved when in fact we have clear evidence this was NOT the case. I am only stating that the capacity to keep large sections of text by memory is easily demonstrated.

Yes friend not only a paradox but further proof of abrogation. The verses the sheep ate were about adult breastfeeding and stoning adulterers. They were instructed (to avoid sexual tension when a young man and woman are found alone) in one occasion it was taught that a man should be 'breastfed' on ten occasions she will then be his foster mother and he would not want to have sex with her, would he? Well that was M's answer to the problem was. Apart from this obviously not curing the problem, in another lost portion of the 'eternal' Qur'an it seems that Allah changed his eternal mind and five sufficed. it seems only Aisha 'liked' this practice she was also happy to have her sister breastfeed men for her ( in order to make them her foster brothers). M's other wives were not happy and did not really obey the teaching of the Apostle, who gave us the eternal Qur'an. It is rather coincidental that these verses were lost when the were burying M. Could it may be that the other wives, had more sense than what was written on the eternal tablets and such a ridiculous, if not perverse teaching, managed to talk sense into Aisha who was now 18, and conveniently say that a sheep ate these verses. As Aisha's fidelity was also questionable is it any surprise the verses on stoning were also eaten. The 'eternal' Quran was not robust enough to stand up to protect itself from a sheep and M's wives. If it is robust enough the Qur'an they have now have(Cairo edition 1924, an authorized by the House of Saud 1985) is an incomplete Qur'an

@@indianrational6887 Of course there were. You're missing the point. The Miriam who was sister of Aaron & daughter of Imran lived over a thousand years before the Miriam who was mother of Jesus. The Quran refers to the mother of Jesus as sister of Aaron & daughter of Imran. SOME think that they can explain it away by saying that it was just a matter of speech, but that's a very dishonest approach. It is very obvious to any sincere, honest student of the topic, that the Quran confused the two Miriams.
@indianrational6887
@indianrational6887 Жыл бұрын
@@TruthSpeaker. Sister of Aaron is idiomatic for ‘woman of the clan of Aaron’. In the Bible, we are told that Mary is the cousin of Elizabeth (Luke 1:36). Elizabeth was from the line of Aaron as she is said to be from the ‘daughters of Aaron’ (Luke 1:5). This means that Mary, too, would have belonged to the priestly line of Aaron and as such the Jews addressing her as a ‘sister of Aaron’ is perfectly normal. This way of addressing someone was common in Arabic and Hebrew. As to her father’s name, the Bible is actually silent. The name Joachim is only found in an apocryphal gospel of James. The genealogies of Jesus (A.S.) we find in the gospels of Matthew and Luke do not explicitly name either of Mary’s parents. These do disagree on other matters apparently naming two different fathers of Joseph. Given these facts there is no contradiction in believing that her father’s name was Imran.

Because language is dynamic, and regional differences (dialects) develop most naturally. In the Bible, the Galilean Jews were recognized because of their dialect. The US has many dialects. Every country on the planet has dialects. Why wouldn't dialects develop on the Arab peninsula?
@kafirlindaclark6148
@kafirlindaclark6148 6 жыл бұрын
Betsy Ross Aha! You're absolutely correct, but the Nabateean Arabs hadn't added diacritical marks until way later, like Dr. Jay says. You can't have a dialect unless there are vowels, and you can't pronounce any language unless there are vowels. F wrt n ll cnsnnts hv prblm sng t. Hense, no dialect. Same for Hebrew and the word "YHWH". How do we say that? Thank God vowels and diacritical marks were added.
@FreeRadical7118
@FreeRadical7118 6 жыл бұрын
*Warrior Linda Clark* Straight from the dictionary, "Dialect" - Linguistics. a variety of a language that is distinguished from other varieties of the same language by features of phonology, grammar, and vocabulary, and by its use by a group of speakers who are set off from others geographically or socially. Vowels aren't mentioned at all. Semitic languages, including Hebrew, were all vowel-poor, but there were still different dialects (according to the dictionary definition). Read the definition again. Did I overlook that vowels are part of dialects? Bring me evidence, apart from Jay, and I'll revamp my thinking. I know all about the diacritical marks; it would be tough to study Islam for for 17 years and NOT hear about them. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck this morning. And shocking as it sounds, even PhD's can make mistakes. Years ago Dr. Smith (I think he didn't yet have his PhD), was lecturing, and I think the topic was the Trinity. Explaining why it's so difficult to convey the idea to non-Christians, he said something like, "Take water for example. It can't exist in three states simultaneously", and I nearly fell off my chair. Of course our substances can exist in three homeostatic states simultaneously. Any first year college chem student is probably aware of the Thermodynamic concept of Triple Point. Unlike the Triune of God, substances require precise temperature and pressure for that occurrence, but it is most certainly a reality. So, trust but verify is my motto when I hear anything from anyone that clashes with what I "think" I know. It takes a little extra time, but it helps us to not repeat something questionable, even when it comes from a scholar. If I can't confirm my position, then I'll be willing to upgrade. Until such time, I maintain a healthy dose of skepticism. Ehrman is a PhD, and I accept nothing of what he says; he couldn't possibly get more wrong in his biblical observations and criticisms. _shrugs shoulders_

I'm only 3rd generation American, so my extended family included my four immigrant grandparents, who held to the dialects of four different areas of Europe. They hadn't "cleaned up" their English throughout their lifetimes, and they carried their unique dialects to the areas in which they lived. One family, five different dialects. Human behavior isn't static, and this is reflected in the sundry dialects I can hear as I stroll through the downtown area, or sit on a park bench. And I still can't find that vowels are part of the definition of "dialect". Help me out here!

@fejleh
@fejleh 5 жыл бұрын
So I came with an open mind, but to find you playing with words to submit your agenda across was very dishonest. Here are some examples: 2:46 You said that Zaid is saying it will be difficult to write the Quran down. No where in the Hadith that is translated next to it even suggests that. Plus saying the prophet “can’t” do it, while the Hadith says “did not” do it. I mean, why change the words to trick me the listener. Not cool. Secondly, in 4:50 I love the part where you talk about the Chinese whispers game. Great! I wanted to see an example of a verse or verses from today that are drastically different then the early Qurans. Not how the handwriting, calligraphy is different, or dots were added. I wanted to see how a verse that is recited now is missing phrases, words or a whole verse is worded differently. Please provide. 6:44 about the different recitation. Nothing new, the other Arabs read the words differently which were not the correct way of pronouncing the words. So to maintain the original recitations, those manuscripts with the wrong recitations were collected and destroyed so that there is no confusion. Again at 9:12 you’re talking about dots and how the letters where written. The question that needs to be answered, were the Arabs of that time reading the text the same way we read it today? That would’ve been a better discussion. I’m from the camp that yes we do recite them the same. No where will a letter “B” in Arabic be pronounced at “T” or “Th” or “Ya” just because the dots are missing. “Bab” is an Arabic word that means “door”. There is no such thing as a Tat or Thath or YaaYa in Arabic, so the language to the Arabs was easy to ready for the native speakers and readers. Where a discussion can be made is how to pronounce Bab, do you emphasize the B? The A? Or the last B. And so on, but at the end of the day, the word means door. Unto the next point of the video. Plus Uthman and many companions of the men and women were alive at the time of the Prophet, so they would know what is the correct pronunciation. None sense about uthman wanting to rewrite the Quran so he can put his name on it. And the “destroy the evidence”, no it was in efforts to maintain the recitation, just like how the people who memorized it. The part where the host was like why do we get upset when the Quran is burnt if the Caliph burnt it. That phrase was loaded and it felt non academic. Well to put it simply it’s because the intentions where different. Disposing of the Quran by burning is the cleanest way to do so, so when it is done respectfully then no problem. The same sentiment is given when doing so to the American flag, the proper way to dispose of it respectfully is to fold the flag and burn it. But if someone disrespects the flag by burning it with the intention to degrade it, then that is wrong and I never condone this. To the next part Why the Quran was revealed in Arabic? I don’t know. Why not Greek or Hebrew? I don’t know. Why was it not revealed in Africa, Europe, Asia? I don’t know. God chooses whoever and whatever He wills. I can’t question why God chose Hebrew for the Old Testament, or why Jesus Christ peace be upon him spoke Aramaic but the Gospels were in Greek? I don’t know. So it is not a fruitful argument really. Moving forward. Why was an illiterate prophet chosen to be the medium to reveal Gods words? Probably to make it clear that those words are not from this man. Imagine a man that never read or wrote came up with a book that is being recited to this day. To brush this off as not impressive is dishonest to oneself. God bless Karen Armstrong, please look her up. I feel she is a wonderful woman that is academically sound with her study of Islam and the prophet. 19:31 Why dialects were present in the 7th century when the language didn’t have dialectic marks in the language?... Really, is this even worth answering. Are you saying that in order for people to have dialects, they need dialectic markings in their language? Of course not. Again nothing academic here. 21:49 Lost verses or disappeared. So the soldiers of that battle are the only ones that memorized the Quran? Really? What about the women? They memorized the Quran too. If all the men died, women were there that memorized the Quran. What about Hafsah the daughter of Umar the second Caliph? She memorized the whole Quran. And Uthman went to her too confirm the verses of the Quran. The scholar reports on these are available for anyone that wants to know more. Please, I know you have an agenda, but don’t tell me you’re here to educate if you won’t provide the full picture. So far we have been talking about the Hadith, but I’m still waiting for textual evidence that a verse that is found in the early centuries of Islam is missing from today’s Quran. 23:15 Sahih Bukhari. Sahih doesn’t mean perfect. Kamal means perfect. Again with your agenda. So no scholar accepts all that is in Sahih Bukhari. The hadiths (saying of the prophet) are categorized by as strong, weak, famous, etc. you can go back to the sources of Hadith and see how they categorize them and their methodology. But the point is, every Muslim will go to the Quran as the word of God, but if a Hadith goes against a verse, or adds to a verse from the Quran, it is not accepted by the majority of scholars. Some scholars argue that such hadiths require interpretation, maybe we don’t understand it properly for the sake of coherency. But that is a debate among Islamic scholars and it is a scholarly endeavor. Honestly it’s a huge field I’m not an expert in and Alfadi is definitely not an expert in if he lets his guest get away with poor Arabic translations. A good rule of thump, the Quran as what all Muslims believe as the word of God, if you want to disprove Islam, you gotta go to the Quran. Hadiths, scholars of Islam take and reject some, so it’s no blow honestly. 23:50 Hadith that Rajm (stoning) verses went missing. Done my studies on that Hadith. I refer to sheikh Adnan Ibrahim concerning this part if you want to do your research. In short I don’t accept it, plus the other hadiths that were barraged after that we’re discussed. Next. Verses eaten by a sheep. Yes a weird one, I don’t accept it. Because she memorized the Quran, she could simply write it down again. Why didn’t she? How does the prophet give his wife a verse and not share it with anyone? Not acceptable. The Quran was revealed for mankind (chapter 3, verse 138), why is the one particular verse is only with Aisha. This Hadith is not coherent with the Quran, nor with how my prophet revealed his message so I don’t accept that Hadith because it’s not from my Lord. Again the Muslims holy book is the Quran, please give me a verse that supports your claims that verses have been removed/added compared to the early century Quran. I hope I gave some insight to whoever is reading this. I’m sorry it is long, but I couldn’t just sit and listen to this without saying something. Please make your own research, more education is good! Get it from sources of knowledge. I love listening to Sheikh Adnan Ibrahim for those who can understand Arabic (I think he has content with English sub) , Sheikh Hamza Yusuf (I love that man) Sheikh Nouman Ali Khan is cool for those who want to know the Quran language, he’s a guy raised in New York, I learned amazing stuff through him. With that I will just go and worship the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed peace be upon them all. I wish you all the best. Peace! ✌️

Mohammed Al-Fadhli Thanks for your comments... I didn’t know at times who are you addressing, me (Abd Al Fadi) or (Jay)... either way, we will address issues as yours in the name of interaction and dialogue... However, I must also state to you, that you are not representing the orthodox view of Islam... your argument is more of a Christian argument concerning Textual criticism rather than a Muslim who is stating TRULY the Islamic view concerning the Quran... We are not playing on words, we are stating the obvious... Letters in Early manuscripts can be pronounced at times differently due to the lack of dotting or diacritical markings... you need to be honest with yourself first regarding this... As for the burning of the Quran being the cleanest process to preserve the text, I find it a laughable and unacademic argument at best... since you have just admitted that Uthman had the power and authority not only to clean a Holy Book but also decide what should or shouldn’t stay in it... Overall, I recommend that you get yourself more familiar with the history of the Quran and then argue from knowledge rather than emotions... Thank you again...

Stating the obvious? I just caught you with egregious mistranslation, and ones with the direct translation of the Hadith next to your false one. Just find me a verse that has been changed/took out/added from the early manuscripts and today’s Quran. Then we will talk habibi. And by stating I’m not the orthodox kind, it’s a nice way of not finding responses to my points. I gave you scholar names. Try inviting them to your show and let’s see if your arguments still stands. I think your viewers will be interested to see that, I know I will. Peace to all ✌️❤️

Mohammed Al-Fadhli please do embarrass yourself beyond this... it is very clear to me that you don’t have a clue about what you are talking about! Just stating the obvious... I just caught you committing a fallacy by twisting our words and making it sound like what we said caused a temporary damage that demanded your naive expertise to solve a 1,400 year devastating reality... but then again, what should we expect from you other than emotional whining with out any thing to substantiate it... So I leave you with this: when you present to us a single Hadith where Uthman was given an authority to change the Quran? Or when you present us with a copy of ONE COMPLETE and perfectly preserved Quran that matches today’s 1924 Cairo edition... only then I will take you seriously 😄

Mohammed Al Fadhli,Your arguments are sound but to quote you on one point "Why was an illiterate prophet chosen to be the medium to reveal Gods words? Probably to make it clear that those words are not from this man. Imagine a man that never read or wrote came up with a book that is being recited to this day. To brush this off as not impressive is dishonest to oneself." Let me tell you that the Quran becomes "GOD given" and authentic because the the prophet was supposed to be illiterate. that adds weight to the fact that whatever he said was divinely inspired.That is how a lie has been perpetuated all this while.Muhammad was not illiterate in any way. When the message appeared on the cave wall and he said he could not READ, meant that he could not reat the ancient language it was written in.It was in ARAMAIC and he did not know the language.If I write down a message in say,MANDARIN and told you to read it what will you say?You cannot read it.When the messages supposedly came, he, Muhammad was in a trance, if I am not mistaken and others had to write down the messages. Let me tell you that all GOD's prophets sould read and write from a very young age without being taught.Remember that Jesus, the few days old baby could speak, and it is so stated in the Quran.If Muhammad was the final prophet why was he then illiterate?

Hello, Al Fadi. 14:30 - what were you talking about? Didn't Uthman ACTUALLY use the Hafsa copy, as Al Bukharu 6:510 says? "So `Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, "Send us the manuscripts of the Qur'an so that we may compile the Qur'anic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you." Hafsa sent it to `Uthman. `Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, `Abdullah bin AzZubair, Sa`id bin Al-As and `AbdurRahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies".

Have you watched the Story of Islam documentary by Tom Holland?. In it, Seyed Hossein Nasr, an Islamic professor at Saudi-owned George Washington University, is desperate to refute the empirical and absolute evidence showing Petra was the original Mecca. He says there is always the...oral tradition. He calls it 'positive' history. Seriously?. We all know how tough it is just to get several people to agree in court on what they saw, let alone this?. In other words, as Patricia Krone said, oral history means you can make up what you want. which is obviously what happened here. Muhammad likely never existed, and this whole story was made up over centuries between two warring factions of Islam, Umayyads and Abbasids. Anytime one caliphate wanted to disagree with the other, they would "reveal" a new hadith or quran verse from Muhammad and his alter ego Allah. Why do you think they want to shut people up with their blasphemy laws and hate speech laws. It's the only way they can hang on to this cult. This cult is going to be a major force to be dealt with in the future. Global Jihad and the Caliphate are coming.

@@CIRAInternational My bad then. It appears that is was me who misunderstood the meaning of a hypothetical "may be" and thought that he is claiming that it was actually lost. Although re-watching the video I can see what I thought that . As Jay said subsequently : ".. two years after Mohammad's death ",and his question "how much of it was a large part?". your comment : "concerned that most of the Quran can disappear!", It says , ..a lot of the Quran can disappear. This is just an example of how using inaccurate language can cause confusion. Another example in this video : 3:00 , Jay says the prophet "Couldn't do this", whereas the hadith mentions Didn't do this. But is is probably an honest mistake. And there is no reason to be a DICK.

And, your Sahih Sittah is in sharp disagreement with you, but I imagine your scholarship is superior to the Kutub al-Sittah AND Muhammad??!! Abû Hurayrah relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Islam began strange, and it will become strange again just like it was at the beginning, so blessed are the strangers.” [Sahîh Muslim (1/130)] `Amr b. `Awf relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “The religion will shrink back to the Hijâz like the snake shrinks back into its hole. It will cling to the Hijâz like the mountain goat clings to the mountaintop. The religion began strange, and it will become strange again just like it was at the beginning, so blessed are the strangers who restore what the people corrupt of my Sunnah.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî (#2630)] Al-Tirmidhî grades it as good and authentic (hasan sahîh). If the Muslim population shrinks to a size that can cling to the Hijaz, that hardly promotes your position. The newly emerging Arab empire took time to really get into how such things are to be done. SheemOn “ I will clearly document that there s nothing Jesus of the Gospels either said or did from the sermon on the mount to the miracles, from his flight as an infant from Herod to the resurrection itself- that cannot be shown to have originated thousands of years before, in Egyptian Mystery rites and other sacred liturgies such as the Egyptian book of dead. Everything- from the star in the east to Jesus’ walking on water from the angels pronouncement to the slaughters of the innocents by Herod, from the temptation in the wilderness to the changing of water into wine- already existed in the Egyptian sources. Egypt and its peoples had knelt at the shrine of the Madonna and child ISIS and Horus for many long centuries before any allegedly historical Mary lifted a supposedly historical Jesus in her arms. But for all those centuries before the translation of the Rosetta Stone by Champollion in 1822, the ancient key to all this Egyptian material had been lost. Centuries of blissful ignorance went by. Now since the translation of the books of old Egypt- the Egyptian book of the Dead, the pyramid Texts, the Amduat, and the book of Thoth, for example-there is irrefutable proof that not one single doctrine, rite tenet or usage in Christianity was in reality a fresh contribution to the world of religion. Kuhn puts it tersely when he says that entire body of Christian doctrine is simply a revamped and mutilated Egyptianism. These may seem extremely blunt words, but a full reading of his works reveals the mountain of undeniable evidence he has to back them . “ As we shall shortly see, the Church of the third and fourth centuries, when challenged by its Pagan critics as to the real sources of its gospels, dogmas, and rites, reacted with fierce hostility, systematically hunting down and eliminating all traces of its Pagan past. It hounded anyone, whether Christian or not, who bore witness to the old truths. It closed down the traditional, “Pagan” philosophical schools, persecuted those involved in the various popular Greco-Roman Mystery Religions, burned hundreds of thousands of books, and hurled the charge of heresy-with its penalty of excommunication-at any who threatened to question the orthodox party line. Many were put to death. The Pagan inheritance was everywhere hotly denied. This was the beginning of a violent process that was to recur over the centuries and eventuate in a Christianity that Frye once bluntly described as “a ghost with the chains of a foul historical record of cruelty clanking behind it.” Studying this attempt to squelch the truth in detail for the first time was a profound shock for me. Today there is no longer any excuse for any hierarchy to ignore the truth of what has actually transpired. The record is now plain for all to see. Not only did the early Christians take over almost completely the myths and teachings of their Egyptian masters, mediated in many cases by the Mystery Religions and by Judaism in its many forms, but they did everything in their power, through forgery and other fraud, book burning, character assassination, and murder itself, to destroy the crucial evidence of what had happened. In the process, the Christian story itself, which most likely began as a kind of spiritual drama, together with a “sayings” source based upon the Egyptian material, was turned into a form of history in which the Christ of the myth became a flesh-and-blood person identified with Jesus (Yeshua or Joshua) of Nazareth. The power of the millennia-old Christ mythos to transform the whole of humanity was all but destroyed in the literalist adulation of “a presumptive Galilean paragon.” Centuries of darkness were to follow. I have laboured to present this work as clearly as possible, yet in places some hard work will be required, and readers must be prepared to think on their own and to be open to fresh ideas.” - The Pagan Christ: Is blind faith killing Christianity? by Tom Harpur amzn.eu/dkGcwKO

For some reason I am unable to respond to Qui creva’s comments. Accepting you as an authentic source from a Christian my point stands. Both of our revelations were compiled later and arranged correctly-once again ensured by Allah/God himself that they were intact. Quran was designed in a way where people looking for negative points will find them and those looking with positive will find. What’s interesting is why this is the case. And not just the Quran but the Torah and the New Testament has that featured-which is why there are people who criticize the Bible and not necessarily Muslims! So once again historical significance,context and common sense is required to interpret any of revelations..other wise parts and of bible where intolerance is showed by God will be misunderstood as what humans should act like. Same with the Quran-and Quran is pretty violent at times because it was sent as s warning-the New Testament sent by Allah confirmed by Quran highlights God’s love and Quran’s God’s wrath. Why is Quran violent- what happened before islam spread 6th centuries ago, humans attempted to kill his most beloved of prophets who taught to offer the other cheek in response to oppression. I hope understand now the connection to God’s immense anger in the Quran-like I said we are worshipping the same God. Don’t be surprised to see me during day of reckoning saying to you’I said so’ ;)

//OK ISLAM IS FALSE// *Awesome our work here is done* //1ST / GOD would be UN-JUST TO ACCEPT INNOCENT TO PAY 4 THE SINNERS.// Qur'an (3/3) has sent down on you the book [1] with the truth, confirming what is between his hands, and has sent down the Taurāh and the Ingeel, 2ND / GOD would have broken his own teaching by doing exactly the opposite. Qur'an (2/91) And when it is said to them, "Believe in what Allah has sent down." [60] They said, "We believe what has been sent down [61] on us." And they become infidels by what has come after it. [62] And it is the truth, confirming what is with them. Say, "Why then do you kill the prophets of Allah before if you were believers?" 3RD / SIN would be BIGGER THAN GOD S = MERCY LOVE FORGIVENESS JUSTICE. Qur'an (2/41) And believe in what I have sent down [27] confirming what is with you, [28] and do not be the first to become infidels of it. And do not purchase with my verses [29] a small price. [30] And so fear me. 4TH /GOD would be the Biggest Sinner as he contradicting himself and want price for forgiveness and would break (FATHER/SON ..SHARE OF GUILT by sending Himself /or his Son to PAY TO THE GUILT OF HIS OWN CREATION ( SONS...=PEOPLES) Qur'an (37/107) And we redeemed him with a great sacrifice. 5TH / GOD would be dumb as he could not find any solution to his own creation but to kill himself to show them his mercy.... Qur'an (21/7) And we did not send before you, except men whom we revealed to them. So ask the people of the reminder, if you were not knowing. 6TH / GOD hanged on tree would be a cursed one by whom? GOD HIMSELF ? Qur'an (16/43) And we did not send before you any except men that we inspired, so ask the people of the reminder, [4] if you were not knowing. 7TH / We need to bribe God and pay price for = LOVE - FORGIVENESS .... Qur'an (2/101) And when a messenger from Allah [69] came to them, confirming what they had, a group of those who have been given the book came out and cast the book of Allah [70] behind their backs, as if they did not know. 8TH / NO REPENTANCE NO GOOD DEEDS IS ACCEPTABLE ...ONLY BLOOD *John **8:10**-12 KJV 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.* God makes the Rules. Not you. It's your job to understand them. Don't want to understand them? Then it's ON YOU. He's made his word readily available in many languages, and even Islam has tried everything it can to corrupt the Good word of the Lord, only to find itself boxed into a corner with it's own lie. There's a hole in your soul and it's shaped exactly Like God. Only a sinless HOLY ONE that has ALL POWER can wipe away the sins of the sinners. He died the terrible death so you wouldn't have to. I'd say stop looking a gift horse in the mouth, and be thankful he did that FOR YOU, instead of being a hater child of Shayton. That's like drinking the poison hoping the other guy dies.

Why not analyze holy Quran from the Quran itself? it have countless proofs inside of it for its validity and authenticity. Instead they choose a Hadith book which is not a holy book (man made). Yet they both still mistranslate and misinterpret it, deliberately! And the Prophet that can't read is mentioned in your Bible as a prophecy of the coming final Prophet and Messenger (read your own book before you criticize another). The Arabic language is the most rich language ever came to existence and the 3rd most difficult language after Chinese and Japanese (you can't simply learn it in 2 weeks, you just exposed yourself). Overall, the fact that you still desperately trying to smear and disprove a holy message that revealed over 1400 years ago and God promised to protect in spite of all of your wasted efforts, is a near fact of its validity. And it is all firing back at you antiIslam biases, Islam is the only Religion, the more you doubt it, the more you believe in it. And now it is the most spreading religion in the world. So, keep trying, it's all useless efforts. Allah said: They intend to put out the Light of Allah (i.e. the religion of Islam, this Quran, and Prophet Muhammad SAW) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it).

But qui Cera Allah/God is particular is very specific about no compulsion in religion. Muhammed(pbuh) was pretty particular about this too where he protected Christian and Jewish religious officials and people from conversion. A historical document exists to prove this point. So while I would love to take the effort to correct your misunderstanding about Islam I am ordered by God to not do so and compelled by the very man you hate to not compel you to islam-the journey is yours to undertake-removing all bias and objectively studying it-not studying it to find faults!ironically the very man you hate protected the Christian and Jewish minorities during his reign! Peace Amin(Amen)

The no complusion in religion is one of the biggest misunderstood verse in the Quran: 1) Why don't you recite the follow-up verses? 2) The is the actual meaning of the verse www.altafsir.com/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=0&tTafsirNo=86&tSoraNo=2&tAyahNo=256&tDisplay=yes&Page=1&Size=1&LanguageId=2 3) It was abrogated, so even if you were right, this command no longer stands.

According to Jay Smith is that he believed that there is really an ORIGINAL GOSPEL. Since he cannot find it, he assumed that the gospel of John is already that book. But his is only mere assumption. He failed to make any clear evidence to show that his assumption is correct. He has to show manuscripts in Aramaic as evidence for his assumption that the gospel of John is the already real Gospel of Pophet jESUs (pbuh). By his hasty assumption, he indubitably discarded the gospels of Mark, Matthew and Luke into useless books which have no more meaning to the whole Christendom, and hence not fit to be used as the basis of the religiosity of the Christians. -04-27-23

One thing I’m very shocked about these people is that they are very comfident on the matters they didnt even have an idea of😂..but i come to know that these christians they tend to force the Quran to be as corrupt as their bible which they claim to be the true word of god...,besides the many versions of bibles wich differ from one another in number of books and also the context inside...example the roman cathlic bible which have 73 books and the KJV bible with 66 books where 7 less books which are thrown out😅.., furthermore the four gospels themselves contradicts,differs themselves like “The taking of a staff and sandals is permitted in Mark 6:8-9 but prohibited in Matthew 10:9-10 and Luke 9:3”...,verses that are thrown out as fabrications by RSV bible like the trinity verse in 1 epistle of John 5:7, John 3:16 Also the added verses which weren’t available in the manuscripts in Mark 16:9-20😅... Then the own words of paul in CORINTHIANS 7:12 To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. Then by all that editions,fabrications,own words of paul😂...but yet you claim the bible it is the true word of god worse enough Paul and other places in the bible predict the end of the world to be happened in their life time which was false it never happened till today😂 as paul says in 1Thessalonians 4:15 “According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep”.... So is god as they claim to be Jesus mistaken if it is his words then they didnt happened..!😂 But even the bible deny that it isn’t the true word of god since it never said in atleast a single verse that it is from god... More amazingly you dont even know who wrote the four gospels😂..they were writen by annonymous authors...since they are thought to be from the actual Mark,John,Luke or Mathew but the truth is that even Mathew doesnt show that he wrote the gospel of Mathew..in Mathew 9:9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(B) he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. The author is someone heard of mathew story..Thus why it is the gosel according to Mark,Mathew,Luke and John but not Gospel of Mark,Luke,Mathew or Joh😂 Then why you even dont think of analyzing your own bible with all its defects,antopolations,fabrications,editions and peoples words😂...WHY..?

ACTS 2 : 22-24 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23. Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24. JESUS NEVER UTTER WORD CHRISTIAN IN THE BIBLE. THIS IS PROVES THAT JESUS IS NOT THE LORD OF CHRISTIANS. JESUS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CHRISTIAN RELIGION. THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP JESUS WITH CHRISTIANITY. BUT THERE IS RELATIONSHIP JESUS WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. MATTHEW 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of ISRAEL. THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IS NOT FROM GOD AND NOT FROM JESUS. BUT THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IS CREATION OF PAUL. PAUL WAS ORDINARY HUMAN, PAUL IS NOT GOD. THE TRUE RELIGION IS THE RELIGION FROM GOD, NOT RELIGION CREATION OF HUMAN. JESUS IS NOT THE SAVIOR OF CHRISTIANS. BUT JESUS IS THE SAVIOR OF THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. THERE IS NOT A SINGLE VERSE IN THE BIBLE THAT STATES THAT JESUS IS THE SAVIOR OF CHRISTIANS. ACTS 13:23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto ISRAEL A SAVIOR, JESUS.

Also even before Jesus it talks about how there would be the son of God. That happened. Paul was a human just really focused on sharing Jesus. Paul didn’t make it up, look also at all the apostles stories.

You are using Hadith to find issues with Quran! Interesting. Hadith us oral collections of stories and rumours which Arabs and people around used to tell each other as their pastime stories and made its way into corrupting true Islam. Not only Bukhari, but also Ibn Ishaq, his student Al Bakii, Ibn Hisham, finally Al Tabari - All of them followed conjecture and compiled thousands of pages of lies. The Hadiths you are using also has its own contradictions in another Hadith. If you are not a believer then why do you bother trying to prove a divine message contradictory without full knowledge. Please read the Quran from beginning to end without references to any human invented Hadith book. And not by doing Google search and cherry picking verses out of context.

@GOLDFINGER Muslims you see and meet and hear in the mainstream are following conjectures. They changed God’s divine messages by adding & using man made theories and twisted stories only to satisfy their own desires. Quran tells you about Abu Lahab & his wife. Concerning what they did to get such curse in Quran, you need to go to history. But you know very well that history and Hadiths are both man made so you may know truth or may know some twisted truth. Now does today’s Muslim need to know who is Abu Lahab, concerning religion? Nope! It’s just a verse cursing evil doers, Abu Lahab & his wife. But I get your point about Muslims and because such Muslims exist so people like you also exist who use falsehood to prove wrongs in TRUTH. May God give HIS mercy to you and shows you light.

@@christopherwami2006 That's what you think and others believe may be. Hadith are nothing but a mixture of truth and false stories people used to tell each other and almost 200+ years later it was written down by some fools by not following Quran clearly where Allah (SWT) said "follow what has been revealed" and HE has given every example, in detailed, with examples, whatever we need. There are plenty of places where Quran clearly has given specific prayer times, names of prayers. Not only that, it also has clarified that one needs to wear good and purified clothing, how to do purification, what exactly nullifies that purification, exceptions to that, how to pray, what to recite and how to end, and then what to do after the prayer, when not to approach prayer, when to shorten, etc. If you expect what today's majority Muslims believe and follow (the details of steps, rituals created based on books of men, i.e. hadith) certainly you won't find those fabricated stories and false teachings in Quran. Core teachings of Quran already existed, it only reconfirmed those and added some additional as it was revealed to a different time and it needed to release people from some shackles they were put on themselves from previous. You are forgetting that hadith was invented and written down almost 200+ years later. Do you think people followed stories told by others (when hadith wasn't written) or did they follow Quran when hadith didn't even exist? The whole point of Allah's monotheism is worshiping HIM alone by following HIS ways and not other ways. No Prophet and Messenger had their own authority to teach, tell their followers anything else than what God revealed to them. Men has always changed and eventually now majority follows conjecture. Hijab wasn't prescribed the way Muslim women are wearing today, it never tells you to cover hair, head, face, etc. yet they do. Falsehood prevails and none can shun truth May peace be upon you Christopher.

What kind of proof shall that be? The Quran could have been written 500 years later and state about itself that it was written 500 years earlier. History is full of Books claiming to be older than they really are. Usually, we call those books fakes. If you want to proof something, you have to proof it logically and by external evidence. You cannot proof something with itself.
