It’s a shame that Jack plays drums in Dead Weather and people still give him the credit for the guitar work that Dean does. I have almost all of Dean’s albums. I’m sure he’s worked on something I don’t know about though.

this song is all about what Jack thrives on. Simplicity. It’s a chord progression that happens in basically 1/4 of all music but he still makes it look good. With Dean Fertita of QOTSA playing lead and him and Brendon dueling Acoustic guitar and keeler slow 16ths meeting LJ’s Taurus Moog Bass. It all comes together beautifully. And when the chorus hits... it’s the most badass moment in music of the year 😎

Infamous Guitarist he actually only wrote the chorus. Jack wrote the song and thought of it as a b side or throwaway until Brendan put the chorus on it and fell in love with it and considers it his favorite song on the album

Yes, Moog Taurus pedals usually played along with a regular electric bass with your feet like Geddy Lee from Rush. They were heavily used in early Genesis, too. Love that they were used as the bass itself for the song.
