I am just listening to these videos while I work on paintings. They are like a balm to my soul, with the soothing music and laid back "chatting". But since I grew up on a farm with chickens and milking goats and now live in the suburbs around LA (and miss the farm so much) I realized the sounds of chickens clucking and cicadas buzzing and the milk in the milking pail are not part of MY life right now, but it's good to know those sounds still exist, they are being enjoyed by someone and are able to be shared via social media :) :(

I actually gave you a shout out on one of my videos and I have gotten many comments about it... nobody has every heard of it. Anyway, thank you for that tip. I also tried the kale and eggs... now I love kale too, lol. Thanks Jess for all you do on this channel!!

I love the fact they eat vegetables. I was that one weird kid that would eat spinach by the handful (and peas) beans, asparagus, whatever. I'm so happy you encourage that in them, setting them up for a lifetime of healthiness.

I lol'd at the kitten George story. I had one just like him. he matted up too every year when he was younger. he was born to a wild barn cat, so had an attitude but I loved him. Anyhow, he would not allow me to clip him, so he would wander around with clumps hanging off him and would pull them off himself. Some of them were sizeable. people would occasionally find one laying in the driveway or lawn and go "WHAT is THAT? lol, I just told them my cat was falling apart, hehehehe. You should've seen the looks, lol

I’m also growing Shishito peppers for the first time after trying your blistered shishito recipe. Another thing I would have never tried. In Mexico, I saw plates of radishes on open-air bars where people would eat them with their beer as bar snacks instead of crackers or chips. Makes sense, as their spicy/hot taste is a nice foil for the ice cold beverage. They're also loaded with phyto-nutrients and are on the lists of top-recommended veggies for folks doing Keto.

OMG -- of course, you are right -- roasted radishes (I just did a bunch with a zucchini and a couple of potatoes) are AMAZINGLY GOOD, barely taste like a radish, more like a watery potato with an interesting mild flavour. From now on, there will be many roasted radishes in my future, esp since they only take about 25 days in the garden. Thank you so much, Jess.

I planted radishes on your say-so and want to thank you! The bugs are leaving my zucchini alone (radishes surround it) AND I used my first radish greens to make a nice Korean dish today. Sharing that recipe with you here: Radish Greens stir fry - Cut up 2 cups radish greens and 1 cup of spinach (frozen okay, just put in strainer with radish greens as you're cleaning them and it'll defrost). Squeeze water out of greens. Heat pan on high heat, add 1 tsp olive oil. Take a clove of garlic and let it pop in the pan for a minute to flavor the oil, then discard garlic. Add greens and stir constantly until all are wilted (less than a minute) remove from heat and pour sauce over greens and stir. Serve with rice as a meal or as a side dish. Sauce ingredients- 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar*, 1 tbsp +/- honey according to preference, 1tsp sesame oil (to taste.) *can use white wine or regular vinegar if no other on hand
