Geld's punches were also slowly eroding Shogo's soul. That's why Razen killed him way earlier. Only evolution can heal soul, so Shogo was useless. What Rimuru did was the same thing as using magnifying glass, but on way higher scale. He concentrated sunlight using these water drops. Their deaths were way more brutal in the novel and the manga btw.

Oh yeah when Rimuru used Megiddo in the manga it was much more brutal! It was pretty quick and painless for the guys who got headshot right away but it was very painful for the guys who didn’t get headshot. In the Manga the beams of light were strong enough to cut off the soldiers arms and legs. You see soldiers holding their severed limbs just wailing out in pain and confusion. The soldiers who got hit in the guts are just laying on the ground in agony. Plus there was the added sheer terror that they felt because they had no idea what was going on! We might get to see some of this in the next episode of the anime but who knows, probably not.

That skill is using the water droplets to concentrate sunlight. It is technically a high powered laser, and since it is done by reflecting and refracting sunlight, it is not composed of magicules and is therefore unblockable by normal barriers.

It doesn't say so, but that knight was from earth and his skill was called Spearhead, but I guess they didn't go into detail because, well, you'll see next week.

the spell Megiddo does this: since he used anti magic he placed (water/slimes) balls and made them into a lense so the small balls near the enemies are refracting the spell like mirrors the "projectile" is the beams of lights you see and it has the black flames casted on it from outside the anti magic dome so it can be used like portals in between the 2. as for the pain ...well its essentially a laser piercing you at high speed if it dosent hit a vital then you are going to suffer because heat will cautterize the wound.

In the novel and the Manga its a bit more brutal as Rimmuru deliberately leave some alive with like amputated arms, legs, or just non immediately fatal holes in their body. But honestly I like the Anime version more. As this really feels more like the Wrath of God, no real anger no rage, no unnecessary cruelty, just an unstoppable, un forgiving and final reaping of lives. With the name being Megido which is a Biblical reference it does have the feel of the Angel of Death going through Egypt and killing all the First Born

So, since Megiddo is never used again in the storyline due to how merciless it is and since mercy is something Rimuru simply can't throw aside I can explain the move a little better than the anime did. Megiddo is one of the most magic efficient methods of killing en-masse that the world has ever seen at this point. The only magic it required was the summoning of water elementals to refine the water into perfect mirrors, the rest is physics, focusing the light into energy beams that instantly burn holes through human flesh and bone. It is painless, random and indiscriminate which was perfect for Rimuru's seething rage for those he lost under his care. What is terrifying about the skill is that it completely ignores all magic and spiritual/soul resistances someone might have and so far in the story no one has had complete physical immunity anywhere, not even Rimuru has it. This means the skill could mass-murder thousands of greater demons and maybe even archdemons, it easily disposes of weak, frail humans and could eradicate monster kind. To those watching it, it would seem like the wrath of the gods had befallen upon them, and that there was no escape. Hence the name "Megiddo"

Hakuro's fight actually reminded me of the Bleach fight between the Arrancar and the Captain of Squad 12, Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Mayuri used a special poison on the Arrancar where his perception of time was so slow that even though Mayuri stabbed him then walked away, the Arrancar was perceiving the sword slowly moving towards his head. That's what his All Seeing Eye skill reminded me of.

It was Milim's backstory, it was pretty clear that it was her in the art. It doesn't even try to hide it at the end. About the claws though, possibly slight spoilers but it should've actually been covered in Season 1. They're actually the weapons Rimuru promised to Milim in Season 1 when he convinced her to tell him about the plot to create a new Demon Lord through the Orc Lord.

It’s not shown so well in this episode but I hope that they show it in the next that Rimuru’s attack isn’t an instant kill depending on where you are hit. In the light novel and manga it shows the army falling into panic as they are unable to understand the attack and it’s piecing holes through peoples arms and legs causing mass injuries and begging for help. Those that die instantly are considered lucky!

Nah, the soldiers were just mere food for Rimuru - they weren't even important enough to make suffer like the others were. Although in the nl, Rimuru severed limbs first to spread panic and fear before actually killing them. Although it's admiteddly more merciful this way, it's also a less honourable death. They're not even worth Rimuru's time. They are nothing more than food and fuel and maybe, just maybe, they can feel a little honoured that they were his fuel to become a demon lord.

Novel reader here. This adaptation, even though they watered down the violence with clever means, like the beheading of the cocky boi by Hakurou, they handled it well so far. Trust me when I am saying this, the novel was WAY more brutal. As for Rimuru's skill, Megiddo/Mekiddo, it is really easy to explain. Water Bullets, highly compressed with the assistance of light just like how you burn ants via a magnifying glass, that results into Instant Death to the foot soldiers. As for Ryzen, we do have THAT being show up. I am guessing we will get to see all 3 of THEM at the end of episode 11, when the evolution starts to kick in.

They don't feel anything but Rimuru would intentionally miss vitals to chaos more panic and suffering. The manga and LN version of Megiddo is significantly more graphic and sad. But overall pretty good depiction considering this was more than a half a LN Chapter. They still have a lot to fit in by the next two episodes though.

I think the one of the reasons that Rimuru or the writer choose this skill to kill everyone there because it's terrorizing. Indeed it is painless compared to the others dead, but for the ones who still alive watching their comrades suddenly die like that in front of them must be terrifying. Like it's just a matter of time for they would be killed anyway and there's nothing they can't do about it too. It's just Rimuru being a God giving them a punishment.

Meggido is not a skill, its little slimes that reflect that strings, thats super hard to do because you need to know the exact coordinates, and rimuru can only do that because great sage. And in the manga he was so brutal with their deaths that he achieved the unique skill merciless
