That small weapon is called "Kerambit" Usually it's also called as "The Tiger Claw" because of the idea where that weapon design came from. Tiny size makes it easily hidden from enemy sight and difficult to disarm. When used in "Pencak Silat", a new martial art style can be performed called "Silat Harimau", (Silat is the main martial art, Harimau is Indonesian language for "Tiger").

if you guys are wondering what they were doing at the beginning like they were static and their hands were reaching out it is the art of silat basically they did that to taunt their opponent (other martial arts have that too) and the weapon used was kerambit lol I was suprised one of you knew that so the way kerambit is designed is to torn the muscles that controls movement (ligament, tendon etc) and to rip the insides of the body. Highly recommended for those who are into action movies :)

the knife is called kerambit/karambit. It resemble a claw. Its a kind of knife that doesn't come off from your hand simply by losing grip, it stay in your hand. This knife is specialize for fight, not for daily use. Really dangerous if you doesn't learn how fight with it.

For those who argue karambit is from indonesia or malaysia, karambit is come from minangkabau, they are originated in west sumatra, but minangkabau people are not only in indonesia, they often move to other place, something called "merantau", bringing their culture with them, so they also live in other country like malaysia, singapore, brunei darussalam, even madagascar, that's why karambit is also found in malaysia (not only malaysia tho) i think it's just not right to say that karambit is belongs to one country, as it belongs to one culture that exist in many country (no hate please, im indonesian and also minangkabau, and not native english speaker)

Those are actual karambits. They are curved knives that have thumb hole at the end of the hilt and are curved, which makes the slashing wounds that it inflicts on a person even more painful and lethal. They are also double edged, which is also unique, since most knives are usually single edged with a blade and a flat side in the other part of the knife blade. You really should watch the raid or the raid 2. I watched them myself, and they are just beyond a 10 out of 10!
