All your hopes and dreams
Together we will find everything
That we're looking for
ONE PIECE!
Compass left behind
It'll only slow us down
Your heart will be your guide
Raise the sails, and take the helm
That legendary place
That the end of the map reveals
Is only legendary
'Till someone proves it real
Through it all, through all the troubled times
Through the heartache, and through the pain
Know that I will be there to stand by you
Just like I know you'll stand by me!
So come aboard, and bring along
All your hopes and dreams
Together we will find everything
That we're looking for
There's always room for you

Seems people don’t understand my point in this video. I’m not saying Wano will end in failure if the raid fails, what I’m saying is onigashima ending in failure would not only be redundant, but diffuse all climactic impact of all the failures culminating into the war.
@blyzer7373
@blyzer7373 2 жыл бұрын
Onigashima ending in failure is absolutely redundant, I agree. The idea which Mr. Morj is suggesting is redundant as it eventually comes to the same conclusion of Luffy beating Kaido but only after the Raid fails. Which made sense originally as Onisgashima wasn't above the Flower Capitol for everyone to see Kaido's defeat. As the story currently looks, wasting 90 chapters of Onigashima just so the Straw Hats lose for 5 minutes is a weird choice.

Actually it's literally the exact opposite. Onigaishima ending in failure would only create an increase in impact of the failures to get to this point and raise the stakes and the tension even higher.

@@blyzer7373 Problem is no one saw Kaido's defeat. No one saw momo save the flower capitol. Its all very strange. Morji is probably wrong and this is most likely the end of the arc. The raid failing was going to be a setback that would make Luffy and the straw hats personally invested in beating kaido for their own reasons, give time to wrap up the embarrassing amount of loose ends, show us the specifics of Zoan awakenings, show how Luffy would respond to his will being as close to broken as marineford and make the climax of the entire post timeskip more emotional. I've heard no story reasons that the raid succeeding in the way it did that would make the arc feel more emotional and memorable than it could've been and having literally no low point for the straw hats in another arc could work but as the culmination of the post timeskip having it be worse in story and emotional weight than multiple pre timeskip arcs and whole cake is extremely disappointing. You can disagree with the theory but actually calling the raid failing bad when it just straight up creates a better story is laughable

This. Luffy failed at marineford, because he needed a reality check. He thought that could just enter the new world and have adventures with his friends and play little pirates games. He needed to understand the horrors of the new world and that he is too weak. The admirals and Warlords. Even Kizrarus nephew and the dude who ran impel down. They all humbled him. Seeing WB-pirates clash with the whole marine and holding their own while strawhats couldn’t handle one single admiral was important for Luffy. He understood, took a 2 years break and trained harder then ever before to be able to survive in the new world. He is not gonna fail ever again because he understood what it meant to face Kaido. He understood that losing is an opportunity. Unlike before where he always won and got over confident. He was the reason Kizaru showed up in Sabaody in the first place. The idea that Kizaru would totally destroy the strawhats never crossed his mind. He grew up and now he is ready to face the most important player like big mom and Kaido

I don't know man. Maybe they just care about the actual theory. Labelling anyone who buys into the "Raid Failing" theory as "Morj fans" just muddies the discussion. You can be persuaded by an argument without dckriding the one presenting the argument. I just find this kind of thinking kind of naive. Also to add, I'm not sure this video would even make "Morj fans" in shambles because it is just a big Strawman Argument. It doesn't actually address the actual "Raid Failing" version presented by Morj. What Spicy did was create his own version of the "Raid Failing" theory and that's what he attacked. Its a classic non-starter.

Unresolved/Abandoned Plot Threads: -Kokeshi dolls/poneglyph mystery. -Nidai Kitetsu. -Hitetsu's identity and conformation on the man he was waiting for (probably just Toki's prophecy). -Tama's promise with Ace. -The guy in wano clothing drinking with Crocus. -Brainwashing of children in flower capitol. -Why Wano was called the Land of Gold. -Zoro getting revenge for Yasuie. -Any real character development coming from Zoro's new heritage. -Any character development for Kid. For a guy who just beat a Yonko he seems like a fairly flat character with no role going forward. -Queen vs. Who's-Who (Five different mentions of them wanting to kill each other with no resolution.) -Any point in Apoo or the Numbers existence. -Numbers Yamato is friends with looking so similar to the Daimyo from her past. -Yamato character arc in general. Her last exchange with Kaido is literally a cliffhanger of Kaido yelling about her fate as an Oni. -Onis. -Why Kaido and the Beast Pirates refer to Yamato as a he. I'm pretty sure it isn't because of how progressive they are. -Yamato's mother and why she was called "oni princess" (no one refers to Kaido as a king/royalty). -Just Carrot in general. She's been a complete non-factor in the arc despite her one moment of focus being a scene which basically forces her to continue adventuring instead of going back to Zou. -Whatever name Onigashima used to go by (according to Marco) and what the hell it is. -Basil Hawkins ability to let people/himself fight beyond their natural limit mentioned in act 1 was never used. Spoilers for the chapter don't really line up with how he acts in the fight vs. Killer or before the fight. His ability is literally to use people as a shield and protect himself. -Why Kaido is revered as "guardian deity" and also the importance of Dragons in general, given the Dragon Statue that Ace destroyed isn't modeled after Kaido (doesn't have four horns like Kaido does). -Shadow at the end of Chapter 1004 was never confirmed to be Hiyori and none of the scabbards recognized her. -Toki being from the Void Century never played a role in the plot. -Who's Who's identity and being killed by CP0. Why did a random prison guard randomly tell him about such super secret information? Also Jinbei seems familiar with the Nika story. -Big Mom Pirates and World Government Ships just left? -Zunesha just came all this way to drop some lore and leave? -Zoro and the Grim Reaper. -Why Luffy "died" before awakening. Or at least why Oda choose to spin it that way. -Opening the borders of Wano. -Kanjuro was revived, made the whole flame demon thing that accomplished nothing, and then died? -Kaido victory cry was foreshadowed as late as 1038, really makes me wonder how much pre-planning Oda is doing of the story. -King and Queen were both seemingly knocked out of Onigashima into water. Did they die? Are all the Beast Pirates in Udon? Did someone go into the magma and get Kaido and Big Mom? -Yamato gave a big speech to Momonosuke about fighting against impossible odds and how it's better to die free/fighting than live as a slave. Luffy awakened in the same chapter not giving Momonosuke a chance to respond to Yamato's words. -Oda apparently wrote an entire cover story for Caribou to come to Wano just so he could give Luffy some meat. Who's he going to sell the Poseidon info to? -Usopp said he would take down two of the Tobi Roppo, hopefully someone else can confirm but I believe Usopp's lies are almost always things that either come true later in the arc or can come true later in the series. -No confirmation of how Orochi's devil fruit works made it difficult for readers to tell if he was alive or dead, especially with all the fake-outs. -How will Law even approach his goal of learning the true history without any way of reading the poneglyphs? -Somehow the strongest zoan crew in the world and the strongest creature in the world who has had his devil fruit for 40 years doesn't have awakenings but the Impel Down jailers do? -What Big Mom said about the country having a piece of One Piece? -Why Momonosuke can't die, why Yamato and Oden think he will guide the world to the dawn. Oden's journal. -We still have no clear reason for why Kaido wants to die and why he's a wheeping alocholic with heavy mood swings. -Not clear why Drake blew his cover just to let Law free. CP0/Sword dynamic is still vague. -Sanji Germa Transformation has been completely ignored ever since 1031 ended. -No real strong parallels between Scabbards/Strawhats or Luffy/Oden. Makes me wonder why Oda made nine of them given how shortchanged some were for development/screen-time. -Kaido's words about the people of Wano being losers and having accepted defeat just kind of ended up being true. -Kaido's words about the alliance needing to see Luffy be defeated to test their faith didn't go anywhere. -Big Mom's plan/purpose in Wano. Why Luffy declared he would fight/beat her like a dozen times since Fishman Island only for them to never clash? Still don't know what Kid stole from her either. -Still no Road Poneglyph?

Its no wonder Oda revealed Zoros family tree in an SBS. His lineage has nothing to do with the plot of Wano. The fact that the video didn't actually addressed the actual "Raid Failing" theory just doesn't help the situation of the realization that yes, the narrative is not so good and Oda did a poor job of writing the story(mainly the third act) compared to other major One Piece arcs. all the people in the comments saying this video fails to argue for the raids success are wrong. In makes no sense for the raid to fail, and then for there to be a second battle where they succeed, for the very obvious reasons stated in this video. This battle is the culmination of everything since marine ford, it makes no sense narratively for it to be a fakeout before the real success. These people need to stop projecting there headcannons unto one piece and just look at the story as a whole for what it really is, morj especially. The fact that he read chapter 1049 and still doubled down on everything shows he dosnt have a clue what hes talking about and is just overly invested in his own headcannon, instead of being invested in understanding the story his channel is dedicated too.

Yes, Luffy landed what appeared to be a final blow, but now it’s a question of “can Kaido get up from this” and “if that occurs is Luffy still strong enough to continue”?

Th quote in this video about kaido knowing about, experiencing and even reveering the past and the deaths of the great men of that past but not truly understanding them and what actually made their deaths, and lives, so poignant and powerful. is an incredible parable and metaphor for Mr morj and his the raid will fail theories (/rhetoric lol), he's so convinced of his own idea and the idea that his outcome is better written and fits the story better it makes him blind to the perfect groundwork oda had outlined in front of him and all of us. He was literally trying to enforce his actual will on fate, does art imitate life or does life imitate art. Lol. Either way I wonder if mr morj will ever to able to accept how deftly and skillfully Oda had everything play out on onigashima. I mean he really went whole hog and based almost his entire channel on his theory, and in my experience when someone goes so all out for something and especially publicly even when proven 100% wrong they rarely will ever switch tracks, typically theyd3ny or attack the credibility and value of the truth clinging desperately to the tiny piece of their once golden idea that hasn't been addressed or disproven , or if even that's gone they completely flip the script and say that their way is the way it Should of been, then they load up their argument gun with slightly tweaked remarks that they where originally using to support their theory before it was disproven.

Although this was a pretty good video, the fact that you don't address the actual theory of the raid failing makes this argument by nature weaker. I get that you are aware of this and think that your analysis is enough to dispel that the raid will fail, but as someone who's heard both sides of the argument it really isn't. Almost every point you bring up can go with the raid failing theory, since most who subscribe to the raid falling theory also think it's going to succeed in the end. The raid fail theory isn't trying to say that luffy will reach a low point in which his spirit will be tested. The main reason morj still thinks the raid is going to fail is because the alliances faith in luffy still hasn't been tested to a severe degree, and the fact that most of the alliance is running through the beast pirates without much struggle or stakes. This idea of the alliance and their faith in luffy has been explicitly brought up by kaido as "if they don't see his head, the will keep clinging to hope," yet despite luffy being taken out in onigashima twice, it hasn't played out in the way kaido specifically described. Your argument is predicated on the fact that the "failure" of the arc is that the country of wano was already in a state of darkness for 20 years which mirrors the world being in a state of darkness for 800 years. The problem with this is that you are already looking at this from too much of a macro perspective. Most conflicts are built on the need to bring revolution and change for the better. But most conflicts themselves have a low point within the midst of the actual battle where all hope seems lost so that victory feels all the more satisfying. Just look at alabasta for example, the country was already in a state of misery with the absence of rain, lacking faith in their ruler, and an erupting civil war. The conflict was built on the need to end the civil war and eliminate the threat of crocodile, but within the mission to end crocodile's tyranny luffy loses twice, the second loss making luffy's victory all the more dramatic. Even before the raid started, morj acknowledged the possibility that that the raid could hit sort of a hiccup where the alliance is on the brink of failure and luffy comes in to save the day when all hope seems lost. Yet throughout the entire raid, even though luffy gets taken out, the effect this has on the alliance is next to nothing. It's not that the alliance has to lose all hope, it just has to be tested in a meaningful way that makes it dramatic. Finally, there are just too many unresolved threads pointing to a longer wano arc. I'm not even gonna list them all but if you aren't addressing most of those, then luffy winning against kaido in 1049 would make no sense.
@Ty-cx5zj
@Ty-cx5zj 2 жыл бұрын
I feel like people think the raid failing is absolute when that not what morj is saying. What he is saying like what you pointed out is that the alliance faith in luffy needs to be TESTED, the raid can still fail and luffy can still come back to finish the job. The plot threads like kaido not using his last wisdom king attack, kaido awakening still not being used, sword that pierces the heavens still not being used, zoro new plot thread, and so many more stuff do indeeds that wano will be a bit longer than people anticipated and I think that is fine as long as it tells a COHESIVE STORY. There is also act 3 in a japanese play always having a tragedy of some sorts to move on to act 4 with act 5 being the actual conclusion. Also I feel like people ignore the statement of the gorosei foreshadowing another death in the raid.

the alliances faith in luffy still has been tested when they didn't give up even when he was announced to be dead, saying that it wasn't tested enough is completely arbitrary. Luffy has lost more times to Kaido than against any other opponants in the series, he also has gotten 3 major power up and one of the very few training arcs in the series, again more than against any other antagonist before hand. If you still don't think that's enough, than it's at best a criticism of the writing an not an indication of what is gonna happen next.

They are literally floating past luffy and kaido. Luffy needs to see that side of wano too. Think about alabasta. Luffy and the strawhats had to be there to see the twin struggles of Koza and the government’s people. He had to witness Koza’s revolution unfold against the royal guards before the SHs beat Crocodile. Luffy couldn’t just beat Crocodile in the desert outside the Casino even though he knew Vivi’s pain.

I'm sitting here scratching my head at the idea that someone would think the raid would fail despite the fact that One Piece isn't that type of story, and it seems like we're approaching the end of the battle. Or maybe they're saying the raid will fail by a technicality or something. Either way, it sounds really dumb, to be honest. I'm a raid fail guy. After hearing your points in this vid, I feel Marineford's failure was the failure for Ace to succeed WB to keep peace across the world against the darkness of the WG. This should lead to Luffy inheriting Ace's will to both liberate Wano and the rest of the world. Marineford built up to the final much more than Wano, there was a reason Kaido was completely separated from that conflict by Shanks. Most importantly, Luffy will win. Just later. Swap marineford with Arlong park and Wano with early Alabasta and your points mentioned here can simply come in later, it's fine to not rush One Piece.

I'm curious. You and other raid failers genuinely intrigue me. Do you think, even at this point, the raid will fail? That video is useless in the context of the present state of onigashima. Being this exact phenomenon has already happened right before Luffy's gear 5th. You can argue it might not be "enough", but you CAN'T argue it doesn't at least fit the mold.
@heyarnold7256
@heyarnold7256 2 жыл бұрын
@@HotBoySpicy No it hasn't happened because a midpoint is characterized by a permanent shift in tone. Things getting briefly dire for a moment is objectively not a midpoint. A real midpoint hasn't happened yet. It's a moment where it looks like the characters have just gotten everything they wanted but then things go wrong. Which again perfectly lines up with their situation right now. Heres a more detailed explanation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJmvmYSvh7OMZ80 So far the plan has been going fine. They've been on the train of; sneak into Onigaishima and beat Kaido. A midpoint would be if that didn't work and they had to come up with something else entirely. Think the failed assassination of Big Mom on WCI.
@HotBoySpicy
@HotBoySpicy 2 жыл бұрын
@@heyarnold7256 You are arguing with me about objectivity without even fully understanding the midpoint phenomenon. It isn’t characterized by a unchanging shift in tone at all. No story stays in one tone after a midpoint. It isn’t “objectively” not a midpoint. And, actually, you could even argue the end of act 1 being your sacred midpoint. Historically with One Piece, a midpoint isn’t characterized by an unchanging shift in tone either. Just look at ennies lobby after the failure in Water 7 for the best example. There was so much goofs and gafs in between the serious confrontations. Also, if you desperately yearn for an example in onigashima specifically, the scabbards defeat against kaido? Kaido’s declaration of Luffy’s defeat pre gear 5th? This is such a faulty argument and it’s crazy you don’t see that. You shouldn’t throw around these elementary terms as evidence. It’s bad for your side.
@heyarnold7256
@heyarnold7256 2 жыл бұрын
@@HotBoySpicy I didn't say unchanging. But the shift is often so drastic that it almost splits the story into two different narratives. Even Morj talks about this in his very first video on the raid failing. The Main Mission is usually the thing that doesn't work. Thats why it always fails at the Midpoint. Tone is about how the characters react to certain situations. If Luffy isn't taking it seriously then there was no toneshift. Which is why the first defeat against Kaido doesnt really counts as that. Let alone the other knockouts that he just brushed off.
@heyarnold7256
@heyarnold7256 2 жыл бұрын
@@HotBoySpicy You know what? I've just realized I've been arguing from the wrong angle here. You're not wrong for saying theres some moments which you could look at as close to a midpoint but I think the fact that theres so many "almost" and "maybe" midpoints just proves my point that we haven't gotten an actual one yet. Because if we did, it'd be clear and recognizable. We could point to it and say "that was definitively it". But that hasn't happened yet.

No one said every detail in a story is "evidence". He just understands storytelling principles and what they lead to. @@heyarnold7256 Correct! I have no problems with this. The problem i have with “the raid will end in failure” argument in particular is that it builds this expectation that if the raid DOESN’T end in failure, then Oda missed the opportunity to pay off all his own setup. Morj’s steadfast, confident delivery makes it even worse. No matter how educated the guess is, its still just a guess. The raid’s not ending in failure, and i think it’s a shame some people are going to be disappointed by that, despite how much fun Wano has been. This was not an analytical response at all. The raid failing does not mean the strawhats die and the story ends. @@maxpowerscomic7586 Besides a long list of unanswered questions and unconcluded plot points, one big reason this would be an unsatisfactory ending is this lackluster final blow (if it is one). Compare it to any other arc. Skypiea for example, the final blow not only defeated enel but also fulfilled a 400 year promise by ringing the bell which was followed by a marvelous panel of Luffy in the sky. In Alabasta, Luffy kicked crocodile into the open sky, exposing the truth to everyone, also resulting in rain after an entire decade. The final blow always fulfills the overarching purpose of the arc and it involves alot of symbolism. There is no way the end of this fight is not better than that of those in the preceding arcs. Usually when the villain is about to be defeated, the conclusion of the arc is in sight. The purpose of this arc has been 'to open the lands of wano' and we do not even know what that is or how it will be achieved. Further, what do you expect happens after this? How do you fix the destroyed land of wano, the weapon factories, the pollution, the poisoned waters? The starving population? The marines that are about to raid? Will they now have a party despite all this? No, nothing has been resolved.

@@abdulrehmanmohsin7893 would luffy punching Kaido deep underground + the death of orochi not be considered the fulfilling of the wano promises? Especially considering the focus/attention given to the lanterns which are asking for those 2 things? I think the fixing of wano will happen with momonosuke as shogun and Yamato as his right hand. It ofc won’t happen between panels but with big mom, orochi, and kaido gone it’ll be much easier to begin liberating/helping the people of wano. An interesting narrative twist would be if the marines end up taking over wano and the main cast has to retreat. The only reason I would see this not happening is because we have already spent so long in wano I don’t think Oda wants to have a “liberate Wano 2” arc

2 big events ensured the raid would succeed: A) We got the Oden flashback just before the Raid. We were shown the ultimate failure just before the War started. The deaths of Oden and Toki. So we knew what failure looked like. There was no longer a need for the Raid to fail to increase tension/ stakes before the victory in Wano. B) Outside intervention (Marines) to distract Kaido and allow the Alliance to regroup was the second core idea of the "Raid fail" theory. That idea was shattered once Kaido lifted Onigashima. Now the Alliance is cut off from reinforcements and retreat. Its all or nothing. Victory or defeat. No outside intervention. (Honestly, who else could have guessed Kaido could even do such a thing??)

In the past two arcs it’s been revealed that the big bads have access to Devil Fruit awakenings, and while it might not be an absolute necessity for Kaido himself to have an awakening to be the strongest (pre awakening Luffy could beat awakened Doffy and Katakuri), it would be odd that one of the strongest characters doesn’t have this and for him to break this recently established trend. Maybe his burning form was the awakened form, but considering how blatant other characters have been about using awakened abilities I doubt it. Beyond that as of now none of the citizens of the flower capital have any knowledge of the Raid going on; it could be that Oda will follow through with the Alliance’s victory being a covert one, but considering how in past arcs he’s had the citizens of an island being in the know about Luffy’s battles (Skypia and Dressrosa) it feels very odd that he would make Luffy’s victory over Kaido unknown to the populace.

@@michaeldorsey9231 solid facts! Thanks so much for replying! I agree w the idea that kaido could awaken bc of past awakenings of villains when they are about to lose. In dressrosa, luffys new form wasn’t enough the first time and he needed the help of the people to win. I think gear 5, however, is a different breed entirely from gear 4 and, considering the sheer strength of the attack, I think just by force alone Kaido should be out of the battle. The burning dragon form could be an awakening, but like you said it wasn’t explicitly stated. It does seem like a trump card move though. Also, having luffy fulfill the wishes of the citizens of wano without their knowing could play into the seemingly miraculous nature of luffys liberation of the country. Also it is an unexpected narrative twist compared to all other arcs in which luffy is celebrated and rooted for throughout the fight. Ofc I think he will be celebrated at some point soon, probably right before they leave as per usual. One way I could see this being subverted, however, would be if Kaido returns and the CP agent that escaped summons a buster call on wano or something like that. Guess we will see in 2 weeks!

His analytical videos of already existing content are pretty good, I especially liked when he pointed out that larger geopolitical conflict isn't "pirates vs WG", but the WG versus the competing empires of the Yonkou, but his way of analyzing current content week-to-week and future theorizing is just.... it's just the worst.

Dont think the raid will fail because we are way to many chapters into onigashima, but i definitly think it will be extremly disappointing if this is how kaido is defeated and the biggest storyline in one piece ended so i believe he will get back up. Also i find your argument misleading, you phrase it like "the raid wil fail" theory says that the straw hat will lose and wano will have a sad ending while its not the case at all, your entire argument in this video falls when realising that the theory says there is more to this arc and there will be a second round versus the beast pirates which will obviously succeed. You are acting like if luffy fails here he will lose forever and he wont free wano but as luffy himself says- he is rubber so he will always bounce back and thats how he defeated most villains like crocodile and lucci even after he lost to them before ( and thats why in a way he can never truly lose because his fighting spirit (or haki) will never end)

Exactly. You stated it perfectly I see people in the comments still not grasping the simplicity of this whole thing. Luffys time of failure is OVER. @@queencancerous5332 None of those losses actually mattered though. The number of losses is irrelevant. It's about the weight and impact of the loss and how it affects the characters. Hence why Luffy's first lost to crocodile was fare more impactful than any of his losses to Kaido. Luffy getting knocked out just felt like business as usual. Hence why it felt like there was no struggle.

@TheGovernmentputcrackinmyblunt

You can disagree with the theory but actually calling the raid failing bad when it just straight up creates a better story is laughable.
@thevoid5732
@thevoid5732 2 жыл бұрын
Yeahhh no. They didn't need to be as broken as they were at marineford. That was the entire purpose of the timeskip so that they never suffer a defeat like this again. We didn't need to see awakenings. The only thing that needed to happen in wano was kaidos defeat. Plus the strawhats were already heavily invested in taking down kaido. Tama, momo, toko, the scabbards, yassui??? People complained about acts 1 and 2 being slow when it was used to set up wano and why kaido needed to be taken out now people conveniently forget all that. Also what loose plot threads cuz people keeps saying this but from what I've seen the plot threads end up amounting to things that would add to hype rather than things that needed narrative payoff

This was pretty disrespectful and dismissive my guy. All you did in this video was summarise the story's basic plot. Anyone who watches One Piece would already know this stuff. The raid probably won't fail because that's just not the style of writer Oda is. Morj is listened to despite this though because he always makes excellent points in his videos and is thorough in his analysis. He doesn't just tell you what you already know. His opinions are strong, but he isn't combatant about his views as you are here. He acknowledges that he might be wrong. Actually, try and watch his videos and you'll see there's no need for this stuff. There's no reason to get so heated about a story we all love.

yes the raid didn't fail but wano is crap. Kaido never tried to break Luffy's spirit, there is no emotional investment of the characters in the conflict. Kaido sold smoke with his "until now they only played little pirate games" "when you lose the pirates will betray you" "haki is what it takes to conquer the seas" (loses with an awakened fruit) Kaido doesn't has the awakening while the impel down beasts do (stupid), Katakuri and Doflamingo had the awakening. Akainu got up after taking hits equivalent to earthquakes and after 2 chapters he was chasing after Luffy. Zoro never had a story with him in the arc nor show his leadership as he has conqueror's haki. Big meme and her crew made a fool of themselves the entire time. "the citizens of wano are pathetic" Kaido's phrase that ended up being true because the guys made wishes and never got up to fight. in the arc of "loyality", this theme was shown more in Zou which is a build up arc than in wano which is a climax arc. After all luffy's defeats there were no consequences. 0 tension 0 risk therefore 0 merit What is the difference between Luffy who failed in Marine Ford because his will was broken and this Luffy from wano who in his greatest challenge was never put to the test to show that he became a great pirate? why were the smiles never used in battle? Why didn't they show us Caesar's other weapons?
