Naruto had one of the worst upbringings of any anime character. Man was taught he was a nobody and was also somehow simultaneously hated by everyone. Him being a perfect father really wouldnt make any sense. I do love how they made naruto flawed in this way. You see he still has scars from the lack of intimacy and love a family would have given him. He always wanted to be acknowledged, a family wasnt even a realistic goal in his mind. I feel like the idea that he could even be a father probably hit when he actually became one. His love for boruto created a child with the self esteem to stand up to him. He defends his mom and sisters from narutos avoidant tendencies, something that probably made the fans hate him. Really though, hes the only kid brave enough to stand up to Hokage. That makes Boruto special, i dont believe for a moment that his strong will isnt something naruto isnt grateful for. Is he an ass to his dad? Yeah, because his dad hasnt fully grown up yet. His dad is learning too. Its a cool dynamic

- i think it just not the community suck at defending it but they or both side fighting over the wrong thing and just not even fighting against the same thing. The hater criticize the cheating part but then extend it to harem and then only focusing on atking the harem part while the fan trying to defend harem part but in the hater eyes and other outside, even fan themselves, defending harem = defending cheating, which is 2 very different thing lol. - What made it great for me is how Rudy and Roxy deal with it compare to an earlier example, Paul and Lilia, and yes cheating is bad 100% no defending that part. What Rudy and Roxy did was more mature and more responsible than Paul and Lilia or anyone else in that situation, instead of hiding it like Paul and Lilia, Rudy and Roxy gone home to Confess first then ask for Forgiveness then Permission from Slyphy. And if Slyphy said no then Roxy and Rudy would have end it there, atleast Roxy would coz they both knew they were wrong. - What make it even better is when you understand Slyphy psychology and her logic to agree with it, Slyphy is not the holy saint that forgive everything just becoz it Rudy(this was proven later in LN or in next season soon). Slyphy greatest fear is losing Rudy, she is ready to prioritize his happiness above her and would do anything as long as Rudy is still with her. That why instead of trying to monopolize him with potential of him leaving her, she would rather share him as long as he is still with her and it even better when she can keep girl that Rudy fall in love near her so he won't go away, that is also why she reject Nanahoshi as Rudy wife coz she feel Nanahoshi would take Rudy away (and her intuition is somewhat true)

Yeah, this is much too articulate to explain or convince anyone of anything who’s outraged over this. If they don’t get it, they’re not gonna try to understand and you’re stuck arguing with a wall. A lot of people are either too close minded or lack enough emotional intelligence to appreciate Mushoku Tensei and what it’s trying to do. Not to mention it’s an anime. Who in their right mind would let themselves get outraged over a work of fiction. At its core, this medium is meant to entertain. Why let yourself get offended? If you don’t like it, stop watching. It’s just not worth it.

Wow this is a really good video, but yeah I generally don't really bother trying to defend this show because the main reasons I come across are the kind of opinions that it doesn't matter what you say, their mind is made up to hate the show with a passion rather than even being indifferent. Its always either it conflicts with some moral they have in real life and can't let go of in fictional media or the idea that it is generic because of some random event that occurred and because that event has occurred in other anime before it means the entire story is generic to them. Neither of these people are possible to argue with and the latter don't even actually make any sense to me because I will see people say entire genres are generic by default. It is insane how many people I saw switch up from calling this a good story to a generic harem the second this happened as though the idea of a harem existing means nothing else happened up until that point.

I think the difefrences of defense come from LN version of events vs the anime version of events. They are very different. In the LN, Rudy was going to die of hunger or thirst until Roxy stepped in.
