Suggestion for the top of the water barrel that's going in the hen house: make a metal cone shaped topper to just set on top. Doesn't have to be real high, and the chickens will slide off if they try to land on top. (Similar to a squirrel detractor on a bird feeding station.) Hope this helps. Blessings.

Just a few miles below you in Texas, we have had rains also. Our fields are flooded, our stock has been moved to high ground and the back roads are boogy. But our flowers are starting to bloom and it is getting warmer. An early spring is a welcome sight. I do feel like we will have a few more cold snaps though. So keep your powder dry. Things will work out and someday the barn and house will be finished and you will wonder what to do next.

I have been checking daily to see if you had posted a new video. I knew you were ok from IG. I would happily watch daily vlogs if you make them (you are definitely not boring😉). However,I would not want you to have too much extra work with editing and setting up shots etc. Also, don’t want you to get hurt because you are so busy filming. Whatever works for you is fine. Getting that barn ready for concrete is a heck of a lot of heavy work. It will definitely be worth it when it is done!

Stephen just a thought, if you’re going to move the chickens water barrel why not put it up against the wire on the outside of the chicken coop or run and use those nipples they can drink out of. No no nooooo!!! How can you consider that it could be boring watching anybody work as you do? Listen, all you do is interesting. It gives us an understanding of life in a way many could never imagine if not for this. You are always teaching something, you are always with your well taken care and loved animals, all is interesting, warming and fun. When you feed them, when you prepare, repare and build their places, when you show us the property and all your plans for the future. It makes us dream, and somehow it makes us feel "we are there", "we are part of it", even if it is not really so. Will you be getting a dog? Cats? Other animals? I can assure you, you can post a video everyday, cleaning the place, moving things around... whatever you do is good. You will have more and more viewers, because your videos are good stuff. Good quality, made with care and love, hard work and good intention. Continue to let us be part of all of this magical and amazing adventure. IT IS WONDERFULLY INTERESTING, FUN AND FULFILLING. Thank you.

My rain is of the frozen type -- we are getting snow here in Wisconsin. Every snowfall requires hours of cleanup, and slows things down to a crawl. As for the videos, I personally like the vlog style stuff because it shows closer to reality. I don't mind the day-to-day stuff myself.

It is frustrating when you specify what you need and they bring the wrong stuff. It is not like a ready-made product where you can take it back if it does not meet your specifications. Who is going to return dirt? But you are a trooper and you are going to make lemonade out of lemons. Will you be doing business with this company again? Or was this the first time they screwed up? I pray that if you are not satisfied with their attitude you have other resources!

Hiya, hope this day finds you well. Just thought I might suggest you put that barrel high up in the high side of the coop and possibly run guttering off that side of the barn into the barrel giving you a self watering system for the hens. Change the oil in the compactor machine dont run it with dirty oil. Oil is not that expensive. I borrowed a machine one time for the same reason but it was concrete finisher and I in a hurry and didnt change the oil when I think back about the I think it would have been more appreciative of the use of the machine to change the oil. Good luck with your concrete job. Looks like you could use a little bit of that shale out side in front of the door where water is standing and making a mud hole for you to walk through and drive through. It looks really good what you got done.
