Stoked I still have my 2000 GC8 in the garage! It definitely is an analog driving experience, so much raw feedback from the relatively simple platform. Big thing thats underrated about them is just how much out of car visibility you have driving them (relatively small A pillars etc)

I have no 392/1000. It is my 3rd STI, owned since 2007, replaced an Evo VI, and still absolutely love it. is the longest i have ever owned a car - there is just something about it that no other car I have ever owned has. Fantastic and very charismatic car.

I kind of like whenever Clay talk about Subarus, he overshadows it by talking about Mitsubishi. Its like you cant spell one without the other. It is pure and true rival between two giants of the rally game.

I’m currently restoring a bright red 98 gc8 wrx. Probably the best looking subaru ever made. And going up in value a lot now. I’m super keen to get mine looking mint again. Only 12,000 were ever sold in Australia with about 4,000 remaining I’d imagine, so will be interesting to see how the prices are in future years.
