Are there unmarried singles out there living in a home or apartment and paying utilities, insurance, food, etc and trying to stay afloat on just one income? This is the scenario I would like to see addressed. Is this the norm? No, but a lot of people are struggling on one income. $60,000 a year can be rough if you have to put $1000 a month into a 401k/IRA to catch up and make sure you have a retirement plan if you didn't start one at age 25.

I'm single, paying mortgage, food, utilities, insurance, etc all by myself I'm on bs2 with student loan scheduled to be paid off in 2025. And I'm in Fairfield CT - YIKES! I'm following the steps, so I wouldn't say I'm struggling. I'm in much better shape than I was pre-dave.

Big wake up call for me when widowed and hubby had no life insurance. If I lived on widow benefits I’d be homeless. Trying to figure out how I may possibly retire someday.

Why is it when Dave wishes people a Merry Christmas 🎄 he says with an anger ? Incredible, there can’t be much more Dave lacks than hair and a flat stomach and yet he so quick to anger 😮.

Divorce your finances. You'll live happier. My finances with my husband are seperate and it's more stress free cause we both have the freedom to do whatever we want whole having one small account where we both put in a certain amount of money as savings for the future. It really helps rather than micro managing each other and then being bitter

You can divorce up to a certain point you know. My husband and I are semi-independent which I think allows us full control of our guilt free spending which I love

Why not just be in one accord? Come in agreement with spending and work towards common goals but not condemn each other for spending? You don't have to be guilty at all if you both agree. It's all about compromise. Also, the main issue with that caller wasn't the finances. It was the other underlying trust issues they need to work on. The money doesn't matter if the issue isn't even about the money.

Are we sure the elder parents who are 70 are just being lazy? I mean helping your very elder parents doesn’t seem odd to me. It’s not uncommon for cognitive decline at 70. It seems abit harsh to say they are lazy. Perhaps the wife is being a tad selfish or unreasonable?

The 1st caller. They have been married and managing for 13 years. Their views on finances aren’t even so crazy different. She’s not saying oh let’s work until 80 when he wants to retire at 40. You can definitely enjoy separate finances while pulling your lives and marriage towards the same direction.
