@@momsspaghetti4504 God wants our focus on his kingdom and righteousness not this kingdom. Detach yourself from the world. Ramsay's system is intertwined with the world. I mean no judgement about him. His intentions might be good. However it is of far greater importance to be holy/separate from the world. I'm sure you would agree. Ramsay's system does not place this in high honor. Of course GOD wants us to be a good steward but that comes first with seeking his kingdom and righteousness. The worldly principals should not be our focus. I use to get caught up in this world too. Be careful, time is short. The Kingdom of heaven is at the door step. Fill yourself with his Spirit because money won't get you into heaven.

Dave Ramsey has a lot of good tips on money, but I disagree with him about one and that is that I believe people should live with families (or co-house with friends & relatives) if there is enough room to do so. Why do I believe that? Because it puts everyone in a much better position financially if they do so. And humanity have been doing it for as long as we existed until about 100 years ago. By living together...1) We can save tons of money by sharing housing 2) We can share/split chores/responsibilities by looking out for each other 3) We will put less demand on consumption and our earth (one set of sofas versus 2 or 3; one set of cookware instead of 2 or 3; one housing demand instead of 2 or 3). One of the reasons why our societies are getting harder and harder from generation to generation is because too many people are falling into the trap of a "rat race" where people think they have to "move out" by age 18 in order to be on their own and to consume in order to help the economy. Never before humanity has a problem of independence when people have always lived together. All of this new age thinking is creating our own misery (having to deal with the rising cost of living) and the destruction of our natural resources because we keep growing and growing unnecessarily by moving out...! This lifestyle is NOT sustainable people. It stresses everyone out - the young and elderly. Living with family and/or friends/relatives is NOT only the smartest money move but also the best for everyone including our earth!

Yes, good points. However, people are not the same as they were 100 years ago... they can't get along, don't trust each other, don't work hard, are selfish and careless, don't pull their weight. This is why people say they can't live with other people.
@ZhiyingHarp
@ZhiyingHarp 5 ай бұрын
@@src4409 so we have to start learning to live together in commmunities, learn to trust each other, learn to be less selfish, learn to take care of one another. Honestly i also don't know how to do this. I hope to live in a community where everybody support and respect one another.

Dave is not against living with families, at least I've never heard that. He's against taking on Family's baggage and becoming financially responsible for them. Living together as a big family is fine, but everyone has to do their parts.
@ligbzd837
@ligbzd837 3 ай бұрын
@@src4409 Most children grew up in families that are not 'together' and 'share' with other members of the family now a days. Therefore, they "LEARNED" to be selfish watching how every family only think about themselves and their own survival. They watch how their parents don't care about their grandparents. They watch how everyone struggle (because of not living together and higher costs) and think 'oh I better protect myself in order to survive'. People THINK, wrongly, that protecting themselves is the way to survival. The opposite is true. Getting together,, sharing together, and helping together is the TRUE way to survive. And when a family is always together multi-generational families, the children will naturally LEARN the skills of communication, sharing, caring, and unselfish behaviors. ALL bad things we see together is because families are NOT together.
@ligbzd837
@ligbzd837 3 ай бұрын
@@pankayasit3736 Dave did not say the words "i'm against living together", but his other words like "why is he living with his parents..." or "why are your parents moving in with you..." implies that he doesn't like the idea of family members living together. The first and primary survival method for families in the short term and long term is to live together. This is a method that has nothing to do with which century we are in. This method works before, now, and into the future. Skills like communication, cooperation, compromise, caring, sharing, and helping, and all learned and acquired by always having others around.

@Matasha M no, I haven't. But to be honest, I'm not a fan of our educational system. It doesn't truly set anyone up for success, and a degree is becoming increasingly less valuable and overpriced by the month. I wouldn't feel right contributing to that problem. Something will turn up eventually. I'm just thankful I've always managed my money well beforehand, so I'm not forced to take the first job that comes along. If all else fails, entrepreneurship is always on the table, and I know I'd do well with it with my background and work ethic.

Hi, I'm Vicente and I'm 28 years old. Two years ago my father passed away and he gave me a piece of land 5 minutes away from my hometown and an old apartment which I have completely renovated with a mortgage loan of €40,000 at 3.5% interest. Currently the apartment is worth €90,000. Sometimes I think about selling the apartment to pay off the loan and build a small house on the land with a little farm. Although people would think I'm a little weird for wanting to live isolated in the countryside. But I am attracted to the idea of living without debt and being able to invest my money. What do you think is the best option? Greetings from Spain I love your program!
