Guy in Hobart owns a 348, always had it parked outside his shop. Saw it everyday driving to work. Loved the car, I asked him if he would mind if I took a few photos and to my surprise he wasn’t a piece of shit. Out of every Ferrari owner I have met, only two were good people, the 348 owner and a Mondial owner.

same here! Have to say the f355 nailed it after that! It wasn't the same when the Testarossa became a 512TR.. didn't like it at all
@byronmills59524 жыл бұрын
Ferrari made a lot of changes to the 348 during its life to improve its rather lacklustre dynamics - suffice to say later 348s have got a lot of the chassis modifications that made it on to the 355. The 348 is unfairly derided when even an an early car can be massively improved by some choice chassis tweaks. You should go out and try a late build 348 for a comparison.

The 348 is GORGEOUS! When the 360 came out it instantly made the 355 look outdated and the 348 look ancient. As we get far enough away we start reminding about at that era and all of the sudden we see these cars for their tremendous beauty instead of being the “old & outdated & slow & rough to own” Ferrari.

So hard to understand how people can say they don't love a Ferrari. Or sh*t like "crappy old 90s Ferrari!"! Are everyone driving 911 GT2RS? Come on... It is a Ferrari, the 348 may not be be the best, but is better than 99% of the cars in the World. And this Competizione is a work of art.

i remember being 6 years old and having a beautiful diecast replica of this as a birthday gift from my godfather. i loved it, but i was too young to understand value. well crisis is a common thing in everyone's life and it forced us to move out of my old home. and i lost nearly half of everything i loved and even my childhood. then i saw the thumbnail and i remembered that diecast toy. really gave me a long think of how things have changed for the worse. thank you for this, im remembering everything i had and when i didn't need it as much as i do now.

Naw man, the 348 is a stunner. I'm from MIami and was a big fan of Miami Vice and the Testarossa, so all the styling cues taken from the Testa are spot on. I like it better than the 355 styling wise. The 348 is a car that lets you know the era from which it came. That's kind of the point with a classic/vintage car.
@christiangismondi85434 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of people don’t understand the 348 and hate on it due to other people’s opinions (who have actually never even drive one). Having owned one in the family for 20 years, once you drive any model of the 348 and experience the analogue feel you will have fallen in love! Plus pop up headlights and side strakes...baby testarossa

All the chassis upgrades you are mentioning were also made on the spider version. The engine is exactly the same. Only difference is the weight saving and the free flowing exhaust. 190 kilos is the official number but check FerrariChat forum and you will see most 348 owners disagree on this number. So I believe you actually liked the 348 gt competizione because of the badge effect...

I bought a 348 a year ago and still smile big every time I drive it. Love the car. No idea what this ytuber drove in Cali, but hey, everybody can certainly have their own opinions, no worries. Not too many cars give you the great sounds, good smells, and feel of a 300+ HP V8 go-kart like these do. I always felt the 348 had fantastic looks too (my favorite other than a 488 Pista), and based on all the hand waves and photos people take while going down the road, I'd say the majority of others agree.

Good content. Harry Metcalfe was at a Lamborghini event a few years ago and stepped through the history of Lamborghinis from the Muira to the Aventador. He showed an example of each (including special models) and told a story about each along the way. Sam, it would be good of you to do the same with Ferrari or Porsche. Maybe Ferrari V12's,... You could use some of your old footage where you actually drove the car in question.

A neighbour of mine had one of these years ago and at the time I'd no idea it was so limited. He bought a 964 RS afterwards. They also have a small air intake next to the front lower foglights due to a larger aperture in the front bumper. There was also a limited edition in the USA that lost the rear light strakes, not sure what else it had different

13:59 ‘miles better than a 348 GTB’, how would you know? You’ve only ever driven a beat-up 348 Spider. Also, I don’t know anyone who would say ‘that’s just a crappy old Ferrari’. Most people don’t care about cars so wouldn’t notice anything, except perhaps it being ‘annoyingly’ loud. And people who do care about cars are interested the moment they spot the prancing horse.

Sam, F355 Fiorano’s were not just a “Handling pack.” Some Early F355 Challenge cars were road legal with titles.
@auwz664 жыл бұрын
Fiorano was uprated steering rack (faster), upgraded PAS pump, front and rear roll bars and bushes upgraded, suspension ECU upgraded to Challenge item and brakes were upgraded to cross drilled discs but same calipers. For this reason a few owners went for the GT brakes on the front. UK cars were quite rare, only around 16 or so from factory.
