The Rarest Filson packer???

Possibly the rarest Filson packer ever? Well i don’t know about that but i sure never seen one before. Made of a loose weave mackinaw wool with poly liner. Along with the addition of a shearling collar and double breasted design make this a striking addition to any collectors or workers wardrobe.

Probably a fake man. That liner and cut do not match any Filson I’ve run across. I guess it could be a modified version or one off. It just seems off. If the stitching looks incorrect then its more than likely a fake. Super easy to cut a tag from another item and stick it on that liner and sow it in some random old wool jacket.

I’ve been getting Filson clothing and material for 25 years and I’ve never seen a coat like this. It looks fake.

They really didn’t make many of them. I believe they ceased production in 2010. Its in the official Filson catalogue from that year.

Definitely fake. Filson USED to be top quality, they didn’t go from shit quality to good quality, in fact it’s been the opposite. Colour design everything is god awful on that.

I think thats actually a packer designed for the women section but they use mens sizing. I found one once for $200 US.

@@timmspencer4632 definitely by todays Filson’s standards. But apparently it was in the lineup of stuff thrown at the wall in the 2004-2012 period. The more you know haha

This coat doesn't look very warm. What temps is this good for.. How does it compare the warmth of a Canada goose down parka

Its a very warm jacket. But this relies on wool and the internal lining for warmth. Wear as Canada gooses is a down based warmth system. There not really comparable in that regard. But for most everyday wear I think the packer is the better choice. That and also the packer is a much quieter jacket being wool. Were as tye canada goose jackets are quite loud being a polyester shell. Id say with the right layering this jacket would be good down to -30⁰C

@@cameronmcpeak5183 thanks for your reply.. I have a very low body fat count.. I'm 6.1 and only 150lbs I think I get colder than most people because of this.. I think this kind of jacket is too baggy for my physique.

Just picked up a black and white checkered cruiser jacket for $5. Got a 1940's tag. Can't find this color anywhere and the sucker fits!!!!!! Up to 4 Filson' now.
