Never seen or heard of this buggy. How intriguing the F1 style body with the rollbars and roof onto a 4wd buggy. It's enormous step-up from the striker look to this beast of a machine. Can't wait to see the build video 💪😍

Pure Unicorn poo.😃 My vote on color would be Competition Orange. Duratrax (Horizon's own line) has a reasonable facsimile of the original Pactra color in a can, the last time I looked. Regardless, something rather bold would be best for a color choice on this one, and your idea of yellow falls well into that line of thinking. Enjoy, sir.

Hi Glenn yes I’ve never herd of this car before so thanks for the lesson. I think yellow would be really nice and given the yellow tint already on the body is probably the best way to go.Also sometimes just looking at the kit and the box gives me as much pleasure as having it built it reminds me of my days looking at the kits in the model shops and just dreaming of owning one. Ya know I have never seen another one of these and honestly forgot this thing even existed. I actually thought they were a knock off brand like academy or Tyco at the time. I picked one up many many years ago (maybe 1990) partially assembled. The local hobby shop took one in from a guy that thought it was too complicated to build. Story was that he sold it to the store and bought a BigWig as it would be easier to build. They also said something about them not being sold in the US so getting parts would have been impossible. I don't recall what I paid for it but it wasn't much. Everything is there, I have just never finished assembling it as I figured if I ever broke it I couldn't get part. You're going to make me dig that thing out after all these years and finally finish it.

I have one and when I checked the rcl fan page on Facebook I saw an oldschool paintscheme from a magazine from back in the day in red, white and black. It looked like a Bridgestone tyres theme. It looks great, this is the scheme I'll paint mine up in.

I've always loved the Incident; it's definitely a rare find and even more so NIB! It is, without much doubt, one of the most elusive buggies for RC car collectors. About the only vintage buggy I can think of that is even harder to find is the Hirobo Jealousy, which is practically a unicorn in the RC world. Regarding the "really strange looking" mechanical speed controller, it looks like a variable resistor type that was a step above the traditional 3-step foward/reverse style found in most non-competition kits at the time. It boasted multiple foward speeds allowing for much better throttle control and precision. The Associated RC-10 was available with one back then. As for painting the wheels to simulate alloy rims, the Incident Pro actually came with aluminum wheels as standard equipment.
