Its beacuse therent arent many of those booster boxes left but those cards arent as rare

@@davidjohnson5327 because it comes with 36 packs so it needs to be around the price of 36 packs and if each pack is hundreds of dollars then the total cost of the booster should be a little more or less then buying 36 single packs and boosters are more uncommon and for the cards price it’s just based off of demand and how much people want or are willing to pay for it and boosters go up every time one is bought as with most older sets once on is opened there is just one less in the population making it very expensive plus even if just one card is 2600 you’ll most likely get more then just one hit so you could completely flip break even or make value and he said the rarest shiny he’d ever pulled not that it was the rarest in the set pay attention to detail

I got the shiny lugia back in the day. I was lifted a booster pack and that was what I pulled. Didn't realize what it was and stored it in my binder for years. Sold it for 120 in 2019 when I found out what it was
