I see a lot of women here proclaiming that they are stoic one thing the comments and the video did not mention is the difficulty in being a rare stoic woman. Everything he said in the video sounds great but in reality it also means you don't have a lot of friends, you are often times misunderstood and misjudged, and your inner strength yields difficulty in romantic relationships because our self-assuredness and devotion to logic over emotion often brings out men's sensitivity insecurities and emotionality. It's difficult to maintain friendships because people can't ascertain the fact that we don't hold on to traditions that are a weightless part of society.❤

I am stoic. As a woman who worked in a female dominated field, stating that I don’t engage in conversations which diminish someone’s character, swiftly elevated me to a position of leading by example. Either the gossip subsided or it was hidden from me. My hours at work became more pleasant and productive.
@JodiScott-hx2bl7 ай бұрын
I'm someone who use to gossip, I simply stopped because I love people and I found that it didn't bring any positive feelings to my heart and mind. Gossiping is not the way to go. Gossiping only keeps you down. It makes you no better than the person you are gossiping about or any better than anyone. Today when I am in the presence of someone gossiping I will point out the good in the person being gossipped about and turn it into a good vibe.

The essence of stoicism is a consistent commitment to evolve into the best version of oneself regularly. Growth is a moving target and a lifetime pursuit. Not a fixed set point or destination. Challenges are lessons to learn from and growth pains are signs of soul growth -- the context to have a lifetime of dialog with oneself to grow, because it is the work of a lifetime. Stoic women believe that change is the only constant and we don't stop growing throughout our life.

@@Iameboniirose I applied my teaching from the Stoic narratives by number 1. I maintained my inner peace because I realized I can't control the judge who by the way was not impartial as he should have been, or the Defendant; I could only control my reactions and I simply presented my evidence. I couldn't control what my expert witness testified to. 2. I refused to allow my imagination to create obstacles:; for we worry more in the imagination than in reality. 3. I refused to take offense towards anything negative coming out of the Defendant's mouth: during the whole process I remained Stoic. I was calm, cool and collected, all a tribute to Stoic narratives and if you can't see how Stoicism can help in every aspect of life, I don't know what to tell you. God bless 🙏

i relate so much to “the stoic women” and can honestly say i’ve been mostly stoic from the beginning. There are though times, especially when it comes to “being in love”, that I have lost any since of being stoic. I forget who I am, what I know….So i don’t know if any women can actually be stoic, always. I say this because no matter how strong you are, confident, all things stoic, ALL OF US, have that “achilles heel”. That person, place, thing, whatever, that has the ability to have us act in a way that we are not. If there is a women here who can confidently and with truth say, I am Stoic all the time! Well, I’d like to hear your story. When did you become this all the time stoic?? Because I believe being stoic is something we should all strive to be, practice daily and remember when we forget. Remember to not beat yourself if you are not able to control yourself and be stoic all the time or naturally. You have every opportunity everyday, min, hour to be exactly who you want to be that day.

Stoicism is not an absolute. It's a goal. Striving for stocism even if not fully achieved, makes a person with higher character. We have always existed. Aren't we human as well? Let us exist together brothers and sisters to have discipline and integrity even if not fully achieved, become instrumental in our daily affairs❤

Million dollar question: do truly stoic people proclaim that they are stoic? Lol. It’s like “I’m humble. Trust me I’m very humble”

Stoicism shows itself. Without promoting itself. It is seen. Not heard.

The character of Moses wrote he was the most humble in all the land. I am a woman. Those statements don’t take away from the truth. When we acknowledge our stoicism, we hold ourselves to the standard and accountability of it. I waited many years for others to validate my strength, not knowing my name means strength. I know now that from the abundance of our heart, our mouth speaks. 🙏🏽 #goaskval

Interesting. My first name is Nikita the Russian spelling and meaning. my mom was a military kid lived everywhere around the world and a basketball player well known in America for women But she gave me the name Nikita because she liked Nikita Krushev and a basketball player. But my name means Leader. Which I've always been. That mixed with stoic. I should be a president somewhere

the beauty of stoics is that with the knowing it does not need to be proclaimed because when someone (other than self) knows that they’re experiencing the presence of a stoic- then it becomes an observation by a mind that can perceive it. it isn’t meant to be self-proclaimed. to say you are a stoic is simply redundant if it’s true and a dream if untrue.

We keep this to ourselves. Just as we do with our achievements and allow our actions speak for ourselves.
