Great podcast. I had the pleasure of training with some of Neil’s peers back in the day including Steve Gawthorpe, Ray Stevens, Brian Jacks and at the top level they are incredibly tough, dynamic and sometimes ferocious. Neil’s humility shines through for such a judo legend.

This is absolutely great, thanks Dan. The conversation about money and professionalism in Judo is so important. I've done Judo most of my life and BJJ for the last few years and it's amazing how different the two sports are in that aspect. It's so much better having access to amazing coaches because they have the money to do it full time.

Enjoyed this hugely. Very insightful and inspiring. Kudos to Dan for showing Neil all the respect he deserves. And it’s nice to see judo and BJJ playing so nicely together! I think that the best among them recognise that each tradition has real value. I’m lucky enough to know Neil and Niki and I can’t speak highly enough of them as teachers and as people. Now I’m a Dan fan too!

Fantastic interview, as a judoka who has been taught be Neil, and now doing BJJ ( still do judo too), and taught by yourself recently I throughly enjoyed this. Keep up the good work. Alot of grass roots judoka totally agree with opinions on judo .
