The weather is getting colder, summer has faded into autumn and winter will be along soon. All those rats that have enjoyed the fields and the free crops are coming in to the farms as harvesting continues.

The Duff pellets shooting to the Left will more than likely be due to a Housekeeping Issue at JSB?? ie, Dirt under a particular Pellet Die set, causing "Axial Squareness/Runout Error." They'll be able to see that by checking the Height of the Skirt at 2 or more points!!

In the UK Grey Squirrels are an invasive species. It's illegal to release or re-release a grey squirrel. They're massive pests here and shooting, trapping, sterilisation and sometimes poisoning is encouraged. They can be shot anywhere in the UK.

What you could do with the old Omark44 .308 pre FFP laser etched reticle scopes and Laser rangefinders was amazing. They've come of loads in recent years. The quality is awesome and the tech is a whole new level. If you've got rats in the chicken pens, I'd keep baiting them, keep feeding them and go after them with an NV setup. If you've not got IR, red lamps are a good option. Thanks for watching mate. No. I do it for free for the sport. Some do charge but there's additional costs involved with insurances etc.

That reminds me of the time I went out with a Roo shooter out near Cunnamulla in western Queensland. Head shot every single time. He was amazingly accurate no matter the distance. 400 metres, no problem. Head shot. Had to be clean shots like that because he was shooting for not only meat but skins. Here in Oz we hear the greenies always screeching about Roos being wiped out from hunting. Nope, they have the most amazing reproductive system out of any animal. They have a Joey on the hoof, a big one about to leave the pouch and another that has just crawled up and latched onto a teat. Not only that but various stage fetus' held in suspended animation awaiting their turn to be born. Mum can throw a Joey when threatened and then start a new Joey off the next day. All that without having to visit a buck. Astonishing. Roos often break out into plague proportions given a good season. They need to be culled and that resource is wasted if not for Roo shooters.

Thanks mate. You can use any rifle. Ideally a PCP as these are quieter and pretty consistent from shot to shot. You don't have to break the bank. Jump into a forum like AirgunForum.co.uk and search there it ask. It has a range of shooters with varying experience and knowledge and also has a sales section. They're a good bunch! You'll get better and more varied advice there. I use it regularly.
