They're relevant because news outlets all over the country and the world talk about them. When the nominations came out I'm sure just about every local news show, radio show covered them for a couple of minutes. The bitterness comes from the fact that they've got mainstream relevance without having to try while SJ and other internet outlets try really hard but don't gain mainstream relevance.

I understand where the bitterness comes from... this is just a perfect example of new media vs old media, and once again the old media is incredibly outdated and relying on its name recognition while its actual content is lazy and awful, while new media is working its ass off to desperately find an audience in a landscape saturated by others just like it looking to dethrone the enfeebled king. Sorry.... some mixed metaphors there. My main point is that the Razzies suck and I enjoy watching people I like make fun of them.

"JTE get the stick!" is prime comedy, don't ever change Screen Junkies, do what you do. And I'm very lucky, my hometown has been in several movies over the years. Though some times better (The Dark Knight Trilogy) than others (some Transformers movies, though M. Bay made the city look very nice).

I live in Santa Cruz, where Lost Boys did much of it's filming. It was fun watching them walk down the Boardwalk Amusement Park on the beach, then turn into the local comic shop, which was about 2-3 miles away. Also, there was a teen drama shot at my high school which gave us a few days off. Band of Brothers? maybe? not sure I'm remembering that name right. Not the Hanks/Spielberg project of course. Oh, and there's a scene in the upcoming Bumblebee movie at our bowling alley ... I, of course, didn't get to see any of this, although I saw the set stuff for Bumblebee the day after they shot before they removed it (mostly stuff covering up anything that looked "2010s" with stuff that looked "1970s/80s")

MorsecodeZ Childhood beachfront comic store fantasy ruined... I'm from SF and have never been able to go back to X-Men Last Stand cuz of what Magneto did to my bridge. And my favorite episode of Full House is the ONE actually filmed here where they're out and about (looking for a runaway Comet) and every time they turn a corner they're suddenly across town. I do love watching the apes movies knowing they're hanging out in woods basically right behind where I live in Sausalito.

Meagan Leavey is from my hometown, so obviously it was referenced in the movie a lot. But it was hilarious to me how they clearly filmed in the worst part of South Carolina and just put "Valley Cottage" in the caption. The end was the best when they clearly sent a random temp up to my actual town to take some B roll footage of driving through the town. There were no actors present or dialogue that actually took place in Valley Cottage. (I'm sure a lot of movies work that way, but when it's your home town it's weird. ) Shout out to the Nyack Indians.

Agreed with... the whole panel, lazy comedy isn't just not funny, it's insulting to writers who work on their trade. Also, no Book of Henry on the Razzies? That's quite the oversight, the writing and directing of that film are definitely Razzie-worthy. Oh, and the poop count didn't get very high, Roth... I only counted about four.
