If you get the rc4wd inner fenders for the TF2, use the upper shock screw to locate the inner fenders and trim the bottom to the bottom of the frame! Looking great 👍! Dying to see how it turns out!

I seen a gcm video with mr comma d in it talking about those overflow tanks he said that he uses actual green antifreeze in them and I think it be cool to see either white or black on Toyota on the valve cover awesome build

Now I think I need to design and print a 1/14th scale Mack engine for my snow plow build. I didn't thing a straight six would cover the motor can while looking scale and half decent. The RC4WD products I have I really like, but trying to find them in stock can be a pain some days. Took me a couple hours to find a hobby shop with the motor mounting plate for the R4 trans in stock. The Toyota is looking really good, I dig those rims, most aftermarket scale or full size wheels just don't look good to me.

I have a couple of the GCM scale transmissions. Setting gear mesh is a little tricky but if you watch Chris'(of GCM) video on assembling the tranny he lays it out for you!

Does the motor slide right onto the 540 motor or do u have to attach it another way trying to make sure it's what need\want

It’s designed to slide over the 540 motor pretty tightly. On some I drill a couple holes and use set screws to keep them from sliding off.

I just ordered the artr version of the xtracab. I have a few questions. Do you know if the scale motor will fit on the rc4wd R3 transmission? I'm also curious if this scale motor will fit on a holmes hobbies crawlmaster expert motor? Finally will this motor work with inner fenders? Thanks

This motor will not work with the stock RC trans, those have the motor off-centered up front with the servo next to it. They will work with any holmes motor that I have seen, and the inner fenders should work just fine as well.

The r4 trans does center up the motor just like the gcm. I’m not 100%sure how far forward the Rc4wd trans sir compared the the gcm though. I think it’s about the same but it’s been awhile since I’ve had one

I just ordered the gcm transmission over the rc4wd version. I was curious what length front and rear driveshafts are you using? As after contacting the guys at gcm they believe I might need longer driveshafts for the lwb chassis. Thanks again

Definitely wouldn’t worry about sanding the engine block or cylinder head down because factory castings had a bit of grain to them
