Here's the proper ending: Dexter kills some bad dudes for 10 episodes, Angela doesn't suspect a thing because the writers lower her IQ even below Miami Metro's (post-Doakes/Season 2 that is). Everyone's useless like Teddy. Molly dies hit by a parked car before Kurt gets a chance to kill her. In the final episode, Dexter is walking along one morning. He trips, falls and dies. The End!

I dunno, if you balance both sides, Dexter created more net good than any of his actions caused harm. He stopped more serial killers than the entire history of the fbi. Miami had a straight up ridiculous deluge of serial killers - without Dexter there would've been a body count beyond belief.

Great editing, very funny :D I guess it's one of those case "me vs internet". I actually found the finale "decent". Was it rushed and badly executed at the end of a very good season? Of course. But the worst finale ever? nah. Also some of the comments leave me perplexed. Of course Dexter is sloppy. He hasn't killed people since forever, plus it's the whole point that his relationship with Harrison makes him weak and irrational, thereofore he makes mistakes. And Logan is just the last of them. He did a mess with the dealer and the drug manufacturer and he was extremely lucky. Basically all the kills of the season were like this, including the one of Matt. He underestimated Kurt the whole time. In the end he realizes that his attachment to Harrison is going to doom the son, therefore he has to die. And yeah, the fact that Harrison kills him is an "interesting" choice by the writers (Maybe Dexter killing himself would have been better). But on the other hand is the way of Harrison to reject the "Dexter path" and silence his own dark passenger. I mean they are both fucked up, but maybe there is still hope for Harrison. Overall I didn't hate it. Just thought about throwing it out and see if anybody else feels the same way.

But then it would have been the same as the old finale, without a proper closure. Which means keeping killing until someone would have eventually stopped him.
