I'm gonna start this off by saying I'm not a huge CinemaSins fan. To the first point: You interject your own opinions into satire. He can put in his actual complaints into a satire video and it still works. You claim that there is no critical thinking... my brother in Christ its a video about pointlessly nitpicking movies it's not supposed to have that. Thirdly, you say his math quote, which says that some of his things are valid criticism, then say "Supposing CinemaSins is wholly satire,". Do you not see the contradiction? Comparing CinemaSins to the Onion is irrelevant because people always miss satire, even good satire. People do mistake the Onion as a legit website. To the second point. Again, CinemaSins has said that when they get things wrong, they are doing it on purpose. You aren't exposing them. Jokes do not have to be some 'I'm such an intellectual smart man' type crap. CinemaSins making fun of the gate makes complete sense because, as you pointed out for us, in that shot it just looks like a tower, not a gate. Just in case it's not clear I'm typing this as I go and oh my God... are you really saying that only critics can criticize things? I know you aren't dumb, so don't pull this crap. It's often assumed that if you match a media that spoils film x, they've seen film x. How stupid do you think CinemaSins' (not children) audience is to not be able to differentiate fact from fiction in a movie they've already seen? To the third point. It is not the fault of CinemaSins if a portion of his audience, most likely children, take his works seriously. CinemaSins is as unserious as you can get, if kids don't get that, that is their failure, not CinemaSins. I honestly don't understand how you don't see everything they get wrong. It's so obvious to anyone who's seen the movie in question, which is clearly the audience CinemaSins intends. This isn't clickbait... it's the exact same stuff everytime. If you know CinemaSins, you know what you are gonna watch. Can you not tell that "our distaste for people" is a joke? I don't want to say you are stupid. I remember watching their videos years ago and just constantly feeling like shit when watching them. I eventually stopped watching them altogether and decided to just dive into movies without doing much research about them, and honestly it's so much more fun and entertaining that way. Im actually frightened by the fact that if I watched their Get Out video before watching the film myself, I probably would've never watched the film at all, but watching it on my own without someone constantly nagging about every little detail ended up with that film becoming one of my favourite horrors and films of all time. Incredible that experiencing art for yourself allows you to enjoy it for yourself

Like how despite ill get hate for this i loved raya and the last dragon, along with the first two thor movies. The third as well (cant say he same for the fouth unfortunately). I used to watch Cinamasins and I've always thought it was satire and just for laughs. Like, he's a grumpy guy that hates every movie but that's just his character, and he's not actually like that in real life. His weird behaviour nowadays and clear 'can't take a lick of criticism' makes me really think that's *not* the case, which is deeply disappointing.

I used to watch them fairly regularly until I curiosity clicked their Coraline video and one of their very first sins was THE ANIMATION. The motherfucking ANIMATION of CORALINE. Had to tap out after that.
