The Real Ghostbusters Xmas Marks the Spot was a great Christmas episode during the Holidays of December and was re-aired on its own on USA Network on Dec 1992, and Dec 1993, as a Saturday Morning Special on ABC (24 Dec 1994) and later on CBS (9 Dec 1995), and on Fox Family as part of Fox Family Christmas in July block (July 1999). Both airings were one off airings and have slightly altered intro credits. This episode is one of 7 episodes from the early seasons to be re-dubbed with Dave Coulier and Kath Soucie. This version first aired in the 1987-88 season in 1988. It was rebroadcast as part of season 4. The 2nd version was not included on the DVD.

OK, so if the ghosts are real, does that make the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come Death? Is the physical manifestation of death a thing in this universe?
@nicholastosoni7077 жыл бұрын
Not quite. The Ghost of Christmas Yet-To-Come took on a Death-form because its purpose was to put a gun to Scrooge's head (so to speak) and get him to change himself for the better. Besides, Death is the only sure thing for Scrooge, at his age. He's probably only got another ten or fifteen years in him (if that), so he's got to make sure they count for something.
@lestatcomedante39076 жыл бұрын
@@nicholastosoni707 you make a really good point. At first I was aboard for it being death but indeed it took the form based on a already old man's future in order to illicit a desired response as per what came before it and building upon and reiterating that message in a finality way. Unfortunately Dickinson simply repeated the message in his four other Christmas stories hence why they aren't as popular. He made the mistake of repeating what was a success without adding much of anything. Of course that was basically his literary legacy, redundancy.
@Shenaldrac5 жыл бұрын
@@nicholastosoni707 That's actually a problem I always had with that story. Scrooge doesn't change because he realizes what he's been doing is wrong. He changes because he wants to be remembered. Like you say, effectively putting a gun to his head and telling him to change. He doesn't actually think Tiny Tim and his family matter, he's just trying to buy popularity. Which, yeah, that's a real thing that people do in real life, sure. But it's hardly a positive moral.
@nicholastosoni7075 жыл бұрын
@@Shenaldrac Mm. If you went only by Yet-To-Come, you might have a case, but then, the spirits are as much about _healing_ and letting go of personal baggage ("link by link") as they are about forcing him to change his ways. Perhaps that's a project for next Christmas--take the various adaptations of _A Christmas Carol_ and rank them by how pure they are, how close they stick to the meaning and the intent of the text.
