Though shows did it better because they only got 20 episodes a year with reruns being prominent. For Number 28, you could argue as Shredder was probably didn't have prior knowledge of the full effects of the mutagen so he could of sent Mr X to check if the mutagen ended Splinter or finish the job but as Mr X is a gangster he probably ran away when Splinter returned and just picked up the gecko to see how things play out with the mutagen. As for the rest of the stupidity, I can agree with that.

I like that you based the thumbnail art on the "Toon Turtles" line of action figures. Nice touch.

For the mind control serum, they should have had someone taste it and then say some cliche shit like, "It's just ranch dressing."

Two of the roles Rob Paulsen deeply regrets are of Bubsy Bobcat (from that terrible failed pilot) and Coconut Fred. Wonder if he's said anything about Mister Ogg.

As a non-expert in TMNT, I just want to say..... 0:49 Is nobody going to mention that Old Man from GoodTimes Beauty and the Beast showed up in drag to kill the Ninja Turtles? Or maybe this is just the reason why Old Man's wife is gone. Edit: OH WOW. 5:45 Hypnosis becomes COMPLETELY USELESS™ whenever water gets involved? GoodTimes really must love TMNT then!

I always thought that they carried the 'Turtles can be rolled' thing a bit too far. Yes, they're mortal. But it began to seem like anybody who decided to do so could take them in a fight. In one ep, they again encounter gangsters that Shredder once allied with - and had again, it later turned out. These guys gave them grief! Various ninja, mutant and alien warriors I could buy, but some thugs who got a little training from Shredder ran rings around them? Then, there was the unstable mutation arc. Very often, their enemies began to kick them around after they were mutated. Okay, they had diminished capacity, and not a full grasp of what they could do. But you're telling me, stronger+tougher+fiercer Turtles = Duhhh---Advantage To The Opponent? They barely showed it even working for them at first. They just went right to 'Unstable Mutations are bad, M'Kay?'. Looking back, I wonder if this wasn't some kind of fear by the network that it would look like promoting steroids if they showed any even temporary advantage to the new forms.

This is actually where I decided to watch TMNT for the first time. And I've pretty much came to all of them except the 90s movies and Next Mutation. The IDW comics are my favorite take. So thanks for pulling me into the sewer.
