How'd Sonic Heroes have been like with three Teams with 6 members each? As in: Team Sonic(Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, & Big), Team Dark(Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Fang, Bean, Bark), and Team Chaotix(Espio, Charmy, Vector, Mighty, Ray, and Trip(had she existed sooner))? And every character has unique abilities instead of being restricted to Speed, Flight, and Power Types? How'd their stories have played out? How'd that have changed the fates for the forgotten classic characters?

One thing worth mentioning is that Vector is the only Sonic character outside of the already established in the world to show up in the Sonic Boom TV show. The secret sauce that killed Mello in the Archie comics is called Lemon Sundrop Dandelion or LSD. Before the Reboot in the comics Charmy was captured by Eggman and was subjugated to his Egg Grape chamber which caused him those some of his memory and his mind to revert to that of a child's.

@@awesomeocelot7475 my idea mighty and ray is that they would be in the team with knuckles for Sonic Heroes. Amy will replace Knuckles in team Sonic no team rose. There's a reason for this that I could go more into if you want. The reason why they're not with the chaotix is because of a fear Mighty has of his strength and ray getting hurt. This could lead to potential character Arc where he accepts his strength and rejoins the chaotix with ray Mighty characters similar to is Archie counterpart do he is way more overprotective of ray and he's not an adventure. He also finds technology fascinating Ray is completely different tho: he's an energetic person wants to be cool and and wants to be a fighter (which is something Mighty doesn't want for him) he's not very smart and doesn't like technology. Ray goal to prove that he's a competent fighter to mighty so he can be reunited with the chaotix who he sees as a potential family. Also ray actually apart knuckles chaotix game.

Knuckles Chaotix being deemed as non canon makes me uncomfortable if I'm being tbh. I personally like Knuckles better as the hero of his own story moreso than the backup of Sonic's team, especially with his devotion to the Master Emerald, and it would've been perfect for him to have the Chaotix as his posse. I definitely agree with you, I wish there was more connection with him and the Chaotix

Really good video, man. BTW, at SXSW 2019, Iizuka confirmed that the Classic era games still took place in the same timeline where the Adventure era and other Modern era games happened. Oh, also, Sonic Racing’s bio on Classic Sonic states he’s a younger Sonic from older times and Tails Doll made a cameo on a Sonic Colors Ultimate promo poster, hinting the Classic-Modern divide may be ending soon.

@@masterprick1 Its exciting, we can rest well at night, knowing that SEGA is listening to the fans and accepting there are directions and characterizations we reject to a point where they're changing them. Now, if only they can revive Team Dark as a real team and move Shadow back to a softer but still somewhat edgy Dark Hero with a heart of gold as Maekawa intended him to be.

It's always been interesting how these characters came from the classic era, yet people know them more for their modern appearances and unlike Amy who was also a character who debuted in the classic era but got more focus in the modern one, not many people seem to acknowledge the Chaotix's classic selves despite them being some of the oldest reoccuring Sonic cast and their appearances in the comics of the day. Notably, they haven't appeared in any modern classic Sonic media such as Mania, outside of Espio apparently making a cameo in the 30th aniversary comic, supposedly due to SEGA seeing them as "modern" characters despite how they aren't really, and perhaps having to do with how their appearance from Heroes onward is supposed to be more of a "reimagining".

one very notable thing about charmy in the archie comics canon is that uh. he was written according to his age in the english knuckles' chaotix manual (aka 16, which was a mistranslation, as he was meant to be 6 from the beginning). so when sega started to pay actual attention to the comics (mostly after the whole ken penders debacle), all characters had to now line up with their in-game counterparts, and charmy had since been re-established in all regions as a 6 year old. so what did head writer ian flynn do to fix this? he gave charmy brain damage to the point where his mind had regressed to a childlike state. yeah... things in the archie comics got interesting for lack of a better word
