Wow, my home country is South Africa and cars are really cheap there. But had to move to Singapore because there’s a lot of crime in South Africa. In Singapore it’s SOOOOOOOO hard to buy a car, like every car here has to be a new one because. If it’s over 10 years u have to scrap it.

I own a 2018 Toyota Corolla SE with a premium package. It has been very reliable and only has 9,100 miles. The local Toyota dealer keeps sending me notices that they want to buy it back and the trade-in value could be as much as $18,000. I bought it new for $20,000. The only thing I don't like is that is has the outdated Entunes 2.0 system that doesn't have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay while the new model has the newer system that has Apple and Android. Toyota isn't updating the system in their previous model Corolla, leaving customers stuck with outdated system.

If the market wasn't so screwed up right now, sure I'd try to find a 2020. But cars less than 5 years old are going for more than what they MSRPd for. I feel like right now it's just better to buy brand new for MSRP, or as close as you can get.

That’s 100% true i paid $21500 before taxes for my 21 corolla L ,and i just traded it in for a truck for $22000 and i’m seeing them listed as much as $26k online with way more km then mine

I have a 2017 corolla I bought new. It has 20,000 miles and is in perfect condition. I've never had a single issue with it. The best car I've ever owned.
