I get what you mean by “replace them” when my first rabbit passed away it took me like 3 months to not feel like getting another rabbit was “replacing” them. It would have been longer but my other rabbit was very depressed and lonely and I felt bad for her so I got her a companion. She’s happy now, ended up getting 2 rabbits for her and later in got a fourth! I promise I’m not a hoarder 😅 But it’s hard when pets pass away. It just killed me to walk in my room and not see Daisy hop up to the door to greet me. The pain eventually goes away, and remember. You still have 2 happy healthy rabbits they need your love and care! It will be okay, I support you fully.

Same here! When my bunny Lola started to slow down and the first cataracts started to appear, I realized that Bugs (her boyfriend, ok bunfriend) would be lonely when she left. She was also much older than him, who is only 2. So I got another 2 bunnies before Lola's tragic departure. Bugs has not been able to bond with my other two bunnies the way she bonded with Lola, but he is getting there. I don't think he ever will love another bunny the way he loved Lola, except me, of course, but I will keep giving him bunny friends. I just love these gentle, but temperamental, creatures and my life would be incomplete without them.

Ultimately, it’s your life your choice. We see the great care your buns get. What most of us can’t imagine is the time and the ‘wear’ on your physical health caring for them. I think it’s a wise decision to place your health, both physical and mental, before anything else.

Who would even dislike this video? Like why though? Thank you for speaking up about mental health. For years, people around me always told me that I should talk to someone, see a therapist, get some help. And I always kind of thought “wow am I THAT messed up that even the people around me don’t want to deal with me, telling me to find someone to talk to” and deep down I knew it wasn’t that but it was easier to think that then think I really was broken. But this video really has helped me realize that we all need help some time in our lives, especially behind closed doors. Thank you Haley! You are doing amazing and so happy for your improvements!

You are a really smart girl and you know your limits!♥️ I have 2 of my own little gremlins ♥️ We also have a money box just for our bunnies,we put there money when ever we can and it is a savior if something happens and we need a emergency visit to the vet!👍 Edit:Well I wrote this before your list there😃👍

@@pratibhaverma4900 that’s your take on it. It’s different for everyone lol. You feel that way, good for you. However, just because she’s good with bunnies, does not obligate her to care for other bunnies who need help. She does not feel comfortable with adopting another bunny because thats how she values her bunnies’ lives. People who try to “guilt” her, are honestly the worst. It’s like telling a person who lost their children to adopt other kids, to honour their children’s lives.

I think you are very Brave in talking about mental health and $ issues and health issues . I was Diagnoses with ADD and Depression, I did not want to talk about it at all but I opened up to a few people and it happened to allow them to open up on issues they were dealing with and wanting to get help as well . I shared my journey I called riding the crazy train I did not want to be a mental health person with issue ,but once I came to terms with it and started medicines for ADD . It was a game changer for my life . So it very brave to open up to the world . You will reach more people . Bunnies take a lot of care as I have 5 . I think cats are easier ,but bunnies are so cute 🥰. Bless you honey for sharing your story . It makes it easier for me being ok to share mine more as well . I’m going to start cognitive behavioral therapy and I’m actually looking forward to it . When I think about leaving home for any length of time away from my comfort zone I m thinking it time to get back home . I got to feed so and so . Just an excuse to get back to my safety zone and my pets . Blessing to you we all want to normal . But who defined normal . My normal is not everyone else’s . I like mine better . Mine has animals everywhere .

You are very much an inspiration to your audience young and old. The summer of 2017 through the year 2018 I also had a very awful time and was eventually referred to an outpatient program for mental health that would’ve taken place 5 days a week for 7 hours a day and the only thing that kept me from doing it was a loss of insurance due to a job loss. Going without it was awful, but even if I was able to go the stigma is there and it is not fair how those who struggle are perceived. You are so gentle and a wonderful care giver despite your many hurdles in life. I learned a lot from you to care for my bunny who did help with my depression caring for her made me care better for myself I wonder if it felt the same with you and your bun buns. Good luck with your life journey and I wish you a healthy journey with the grieving process from lulus passing. Peace be with you :) ❤️

I feel for you so much. I found you because I recently got my son 2 bunnies and I knew nothing about bunnies lol. But I think you are wonderful and your voice is so calming. Even the bunnies check you out when I have my phone on the floor or couch while I'm taking care of them. We watch you all the time now! My son has Tourette's, SEVERELY debilitating OCD, ADHD, and a history of one serious trauma after another. Despite the fact that I think I'm a good mom, there are some horrible things in life that you just can't prevent your kid from seeing/experiencing no matter how hard you try 😭. I didn't know about your specific diagnoses until I watched this video. I know it's old, but when I'm listening I don't always look at the date. Seeing as this video was posted a year ago, I hope things have worked out for you and the service dog and that you and your animals are doing well. You have such a beautiful soul, and I know you love your animals so much and I thank you for sharing your experience with all of us and being candid about the not so glamorous parts of being a pet owner and also a human who struggles. You're such a great role model for the younger people who watch you too. I know that my son goes through so much, but being his mom is such a struggle too and it's a fearful experience wondering if he'll be okay as he grows up. You have DEFINITELY given me hope on that front because I would be thrilled if he is anything like you!

I lost my bunny last week to cancer, the weeks leading up were hard but glad I had him for the time I could before it was just too cruel to not put him to sleep. Having lost 2 buns in less then 3 years is hard, I am just not ready for any other animals. I feel I need a break, not from the actual taking care of an animal but the heartache of their loss is too much. Your story deserves to be heard! Thank you for sharing. It’s comforting to know others deal with something similar as me. I have pots as well it was one of my first disorders to show. Then came the pcos and ovarian cysts. And some other diagnoses that led to finding out I have Ehlers danlos syndrome. I live on a farm with many animals and sometimes my family doesn’t understand as much as I want to be able to do more; I can’t. My mental health has been a struggle lately and it’s discouraging for help to be such a taboo thing here. I hope that soon mental health will be less obscure. Our brains are a organ and deserve to be cared for correctly.

I totally understand, can totally related I've had panic attacks/ depression / ocd along with a lot more issues I've had these for over 25+ years. Just started watching your channel and can totally relate! Mental health never gets talked about and more stress you have the more ocd gets worse, you have done amazing and are helping others to speak out 😘 I don't know the circumstances but I've had all my issues since I was in my 20s now I'm going to be 42 this year and everyday is still hard for me. Thank you so much, Hayley! Your bunny videos have been really informative and helpful. You are very inspiring and I thank you and wish you luck. Not many people would have handled this so well, remember to see the glass as half full, not half empty. There is no pressure to get another bunny, and I understand why you don't want to, I wouldn't get another one either. We are all here for you and are supporting you! I'm so sorry that Lulu passed away, but the trio is probably doing binkies in bunny heaven and saying how thankful they are to you and that you were the best friends, mother, and owner they could ever have. Have fun and work for tomorrow,

This video was really relatable and as an adult (21 years old) long time subscriber. As well as someone suffering with mental disabilities. I think it’s really amazing to see, one of the first KZbinrs I watched, be open about behind the scenes experience. Much appreciated and a really well done video! I hope everything only becomes more manageable!!

It took me absolute years to get to that point again, and as someone with ehlers danlos and all the associated disorders/illnesses(pots/crohns/gastroparesis/mcas)... I wont get any more after my current fur family is gone, but only because I would like to make sure I am not over burdening myself for me and for the good of the buns. I totally feel you. xx

You are amazing! Thank you for sharing your story.. it's so important that people as strong as you, Share these kinds of situations because it let's all of us out here understand that as alone as we feel in these situations, we are not. Strength comes in so many shapes and opening up the way you did, just shows how strong you are and I have so much respect for your input and just how well you speak on it all. Everything you said is absolutely true. About owning pets, the stigmas over finances and mental health and I really hate you learned all of that by first hand experience but wow... I swear you are a beautiful soul!!! Just... strength is the only word that does you any justice. Thank you so much. May you be covered by healing light, love, and blessings!

So understand what you are going through. It is really hard to be young and face major lifelong health issues. I am glad that you are doing better. I have many of the same issues you are having. Unfortunately, people can not appreciate the issues unless they are experiencing them themselves. I went undiagnosed for almost 16 years. Then I got cancer and I have had so many more health issues since beating cancer. I was very much like you about working 3 jobs. I was also a single mom of two boys. I went from doing everything to being in bed all the time in less than a month. Now I do ok. I love my pets, but it is really difficult to take care of them. Less money and very little energy. God bless you and your family for helping you.

You don’t need to explain yourself, but I’m glad that you decided to talk about this because I can relate to your struggle. I don’t like asking for help with things especially when it comes to my pets (since I have a lot of anxiety around their care) and a lot of days it’s hard to take care of them. Thank you for talking about your struggles.

Kudos to you girl. Life can be tough, you're not the only one there though it's not easy to see. Some look good but are having it tough, some look like life is tough and have it easy. Sometimes you can live with a mental health, I believe you also have a blood situation. I've overworked myself as well with LOTS of work hours. Take care, take it easy.

Just wanted to say I know a lot of people get this already but I get that for many people it takes a long time (months or years) till they feel they can get another pet but for others they may feel really desperate to get another pet soon ( say the next day or less than a week) to help them cope with the loss either ways if they can give their pet a good life they shouldn’t be judged.
