I've never considered her to be a monster. She's actually a victim. They spliced together DNA from various animals which is going to have various drawbacks in doing that. They made a highly intelligent dinosaur, then experimented on it and kept it isolated, (not including her sibling.) That is going to make her develop serious mental issues. I also think she may have let Toro to because she may have sympathise with it since she had a similar background.

I think she was aware that humans locked her up, so she saw them as a threat. She saw Toro being held captive and wanted to set Toro free. For the herbivores, they were pretty much free to roam around, so there was maybe some type of envy. For the raptors, I think she wanted a family. And I think that as long as the T-rex did not attack her, she would not have attacked.
@renovashyt78998 ай бұрын
Another testimony to the Indominus Rexs' intelligence is that at some point during her rampage, she figured out that us humans always figured out where she was, and managed to pin the cause to be the tracker in her body somewhere. And she remembered where it was located in the midst of consuming her sibling.
@deadman93358 ай бұрын
Honestly never considered that she may have known the exact spot from when she killed her sibling but that would make a little more sense then just remembering where it was when she was a baby.

In what world would a tracker clearly visible on a rather large hunk of flesh fit INSIDE a hatchling COMFORTABLY? No, these trackers would never have been put in so early, because that would be a waste of time anyways; they're hatchlings. Of course, once they've grown enough to move into their own (even temporary 'for growing') enclosure, they'd definitely need those trackers... which, even at that age, would likely be a big traumatic event of either getting manhandled if she was small enough or darted if she wasn't, forcibly put to sleep, only to wake up with a pain somewhere in her body that never quite fully feels comfortable and, presumably, a fresh, treated wound (read: incision site). That would be plenty for something as purportedly intelligent as the I. Rex to not only remember it, but possibly even FEEL it, and know exactly where to dig her claw.

I always thought the 'new attraction' thing was a front. An intelligent killing machine that could camouflage itself and mask itself from heat detection: that thing was designed to be a weapon!
@deadman93358 ай бұрын
They do heavily hint at this being the case, that Henry was experimenting in a way to hide his true intentions, that the indominus is a front to hide his research into bio weapons, then they out right confirmed it with the Indoraptor as he is directly made to be a weapon and is referred to as a prototype. In this guy's last video about the indominus, I proposed a theory almost Identical to this video, not sure if that is why he made this or not but it would be cool if I inspired this one. If he did see my theory though, he left some stuff out like the fact I said she was secretly a weapon ordered by Vic Hoskins for military applications, and she was likely tested on brutally to see if she would be an effective weapon up until she ate her sibling. I proposed the real reason was mercy as they are highly intelligent creatures being brutally tested day in and day out by humans, and so seeking to end her sibling's pain, she killed it, cannibalizing it to make sure it wouldn't come back. You might be confused by that last part though, come back? If you know why congratulations, you noticed something that almost nobody has noticed before and that is that she has a healing factor. Not like Wolverine or something but more realistic, her shrank rapped appearance is because she is actively starving herself the entire movie, they make note of her hyper metabolism multiple times but they only think about the fact she can make herself hot or cold, not the fact that a hyper metabolism allows her to heal her wounds within minutes to hours however at the cost of needing to eat a lot because her body is starving itself as it uses a ton of energy really quickly to do this. She knows she can heal, she has full control over her metabolism throughout the movie, and heals from all of her wounds throughout the movie like removing her chip or being shot, it is all healed by the final clash. Even Owen actively sees this in action during the fight as he unloaded into her side and watched her wounds start closing before he could reload his rifle. If you want another example of her having this ability, look at the Indoraptor when Owen shot him, he dropped not from pain or something but because Owen just killed him for a second, if you listen closely, you can hear the bullets literally get pushed out of his body as he stands back up, hitting the floor one after the other as his body heals. This ability it because of his metabolism, and to support this taking a toll on them, go ahead and count up his victims, he eats a total of more than 20 adults if I remember right, a lot of them are gone almost without a trace such as guns laying on the ground before he dragged away the only body in the room and that entire man is gone within a minute or so off screen showing how fast he can eat you. If you want to hear the full theory, and a full breakdown of all of her abilities and strength, just ask.
@girl12138 ай бұрын
I never thought of her as a thoughtless killing machine. A terrorist at best, but not mindless. Her not killing Toro was certainly proof of that. The killing field with the Apatosaurus herd was, to me, her figuring things out since Owen said she didn't know where she stood in Jurassic Park/World's ecosystem. She never saw these dinosaurs before: she doesn't know what they're capable of. I'm under the impression Toro was kept alive because I-Rex wanted a mate, not really a companion, but someone she could do it with for biological reasons (kinda like tigers), but he was probably the closest thing to something familiar she ever saw. But he's male, not female, like the Raptor pack who are all girls. She likely regretted killing her sibling because once she was gone, I-rex realized she was all alone. She knew the crane wasn't alive and she saw humans as food. Toro and the Raptors are things she socially needs.

Being intelligent AND enjoying killing is a terrifying enough alone. The I-Rex is a real case of Nature vs Nurture. Being created from some of the most vicious dinosaurs, then use going through torturous experiments. My general idea of a "monster" is the chooses one makes. If we don't have to do something horrible, but do it anyway, enjoying the pain inflicted, that's a monster. I don't consider the I-Rex to be a monster for attacking people, because of how it was treated. But the scene where it attacked the other dinosaurs for no reason, those that haven't done anything to her, CHOOSING to kill them, that makes me think a bit.

I couldn't imagine being isolated to the extent she was. Being experimented on my creatures that aren't even your own kind. It's no wonder her mind fractured under the stress.

I think it's because the Indominus rex is much stronger and larger than the t rex So its size enables it to be more powerful and you should notice that when the t rex tries to fight with a different carnivore it gets defeated because the t rex is the smallest carnivore which enables others to be more stronger than it, so I don't really blame it😅

The real reason why the indominus rex was such a monster is because when she was a baby she didn't actually cannibalize her sister it was because she was mold poked experimented then she snapped so she accidentally killed her sister in the rampage so then she noticed what she did the only one she loved so she decided to get revenge in the name of her sister so she was going to kill all of the scientist and all of the humans in the name of the her sister

I believe that the Indominus Rex killed her sibling more for learning where exactly the tracker was, and eating the remains was her way of getting rid of the evidence. It makes complete sense if you think of it that way, as for killing all those dinosaurs for "Sport", Most likely to trick her pursuers into thinking she is not as intelligent as she appears, this would throw them off of her true objective for a much longer time. We also are not sure whether her sibling volunteered to be killed willingly, History has shown that people and other animals will sacrifice themselves for their Family/pack/tribe/group.
@worir68 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure the indominus kills anything that is dominant or threatening. It could also be a possibility it killed for fun as seen in the indoraptor. This is why it tries to get the more brutal kills and most painful. I would do this because of all the DNA and the testing that it had since it was younger, its DNA contained T-rex, Cobra, Giga and many other APEX dinos which might be why it killed anything in its territory. Also i believe the reason it didnt kill toro was because toro was submissive and wasnt much of a threat.

From the beginning I thought it was obvious because the movie itself. I’m only going to touch on how absurd her escape was regardless of her intelligence. She had absolutely no way of knowing or understanding what technology such as infrared cameras or a tracking implant. She wouldn’t have had any way of comprehending the technology or existence of such things to trick. Not to mention how stupid the human characters were, going into the enclosure to confirm if the huge man eating predator is still in there or not. Or for going into panic mode and doing multiple stupid things instead of just waiting for the tracking device results to come back. That aside the movie told us that the Jurassic Park scientists abused her and made her killing tendencies worse. They heavily used genetic material from a pack hunter species yet only created two. They knew that she was going to grow very fast and reach fifty feet or more in length yet didn’t design a suitable enclosure. And they were negligent enough to allow her to kill her sibling without stopping her. Oh how I would have done things differently. Firstly I would have included DNA from a more docile, biddable species that has responded well to human training and obedience-perhaps taken the imprinting mechanism from birds or something. Imagine an I-Rex capable of love and affection like a dog. Secondly I would have made, say, three to live together with an additional two either preserved as eggs or cryogenically preserved as infants. Thirdly I would have designed a far bigger enclosure and make it physically impossible for the I-Rexes to leave. When we humans wanted to move them out of the enclosure to a new one once they were ready for public viewing we would either have to airlift them out or use specially designed cranes and harnesses for use after sedation. Preferably restraining harnesses so even if one or more wake up or somehow pretend to be asleep there’s still f-all they can do except wriggle around in their harness. And keep them harnessed even when placed in secure transport cage/restraints we’ve already seen used. Anyway the enclosure would be suitable for their size and lack sufficient foliage for them to be able to hide from sight of their human keepers. They have genes from a species capable of camouflage even if I don’t think they can use it. That aside the multitude of tranq guns mounted on the walls of the enclosure would need a clear line of sight at all times, manned 24/7 ready to sedate them at the first sign of trouble. No killing each other allowed. If possible there would likely have to be a separate “timeout area” to separate them if they start fighting or something. The only doors would either be human sized for veterinary staff or slightly larger for prey animals to be sent in as they’re going to want to hunt from time to time. My point is, things might have gone differently if the aggressive nature had been toned down or obedience enhanced, they were raised kindly by humans with full veterinary care and had proper social and psychological support.

Hi! I complettly agree, but because of that I don't even call the Indominus rex a monster. She more likely a victim for to the situations. Well tgat not help for the creatures wich died because of I-rex. But in my eyes the scientist, and the entire Jurassic world worker base is monster. Starting with Clare. Her careless ended up here. And is not kinda, but truely sad that they create that situation and what I-rex get? A trauma for her whole life (from the point of killing her sibling[ IF her realy killed and not stolen by Manthacorp]) because her sibling was the ONLY living creature around the Indominus. Then she fleed from humans (well... kinda fleeing) get shotted with rocket, get attacked by raptors, and Rexy was sended to kill her. And Indominus rex stand up for the quest. Due for thar the overload of her capables she get the Mosa from her back. The only undefended position. Undefended and out of her focus. And due the was too big succes, they same the exact same with Indoraptor, but now with proposes... They 2 and the Giga is only the victim of the Jurassic franchise...

The Indominus was a tragic creature. She wasn't ever given a chance and the story alludes to it and even flashes back to why the original Jurassic Park Velociraptors were so aggressive. They were treated as monsters instead of animals, instead of being treated with respect and empathy she (and the first Velociraptors) were isolated and they became more and more crazy. If the Indominus had a few human anchors since it was a infant it would have became far, far, far more emotionally stable. I mean there's even achievements (and Wu's awe) if you make the Indominus Rex a docile, well adjusted animal in Jurassic World Evolution 1 and 2. The original was dealt a bad hand and by the time any attempt to correct could be made it was too late.

I actually like the mention of these almost innumerous external stimuli like instincts, sensory information, and so on when the cinematic advertisement is this gal exclusively hunts for a sadistic, almost human level satisfaction of sport, "unlike" most animals. Mainly because in media, a lot of movie monsters really fall into two categories; A) It's an rabid man-eater that purely exists to cause the most damage possible, or B) It's an animal that's acting in the most rational way it can to this exact situation. When, in reality, and a lot like us, animals are elements of both. And I don't think it's out of the way to say it's about as limited as the belief that "Humans are the only animals that act against their own self interests." Animals, including us, do the best they can to work through life, but that doesn't mean a roach won't occasionally walk under someone's shoe or that a guy won't get hit by a car on the crosswalk. The simple fact is that, regardless of what organism, we're not capable of looking at ourselves from the third person to see every little thing that might happen to us. Instinct can get us pretty far, and a lot of times they're right, but they're definitely not perfect. At the end of the day, choices are made based on what feels right, even in those times it's wrong. P.S. this is mostly for myself for mental notes, but feel free to gain or ignore it. X]

@@ShadowsLew Thanks! Unfortunately this same argument can be used to excuse every bad decision humans have made. Including every missed shot in Starship Troopers. X]

I believe her behavior comes from zoochosis. This occurs when an animal in captivity isn’t given enough mental stimulation and begins to develop unpredictable behavior as a result An intelligent creature like the Indominus would need a bigger enclosure, toys, and something to simulate hunting. The more intelligent an animal is, the more mental stimulation it needs to thrive.

why are there people still making videos on this almost nine years after the film's release. There is no actual reason the Indominus rex killed its sibling they only said that to make the Indominus rex sound scary that's all
