I took it more as Owen reading Blues body language. As if she was still in “action mode” and looking to Owen if there was anything else, but him signaling “no” to her was more of a sign for her to go off and do her own thing. It’s likely something familiar to their training practices, like how Owen would diffuse tension or end a training session, Blue possibly still seeing this as part of training since the first use of the raptors to track the Indo.

It was definitely Blue asking to join the 'new pack' that Owen had formed. She obviously wants to go with Owen based on the way she lingers before running off, as if she is hoping for him to change his mind, only to realize that this new 'pack' has no place for her and for her to run off. It's very much that old scene of a boy telling his wild animal buddy to run away and never come back blah blah, minus the tears and the throwing sticks to chase the animal away bit. At least, that's what I got from the scene.

Many may not think that jurassic world/park is emotional but for me the dinosaurs always have me either suprised, crying or anything bcs some parts are really getting to me emotionaly, i also believe owen shacking his head instead of saying anything added so much more compassion into the movie cause you can think what u want what he told her but i believe he told her that she can finally be free. And if i think about that it adds so much more to the importance of the dinosaurs

I don't think she was asking to attack the other humans, as stated she is a highly intelligent animal that understands body language, so she would've been able to pick up that the humans were with Owen. I think she was askng to go with them, which would explain why she cocked her head in confusion when he said no, and when she walked off, the way her body look/move, looked as if she was nervous and unsure of herself. If she was asking to attack, even if Owen said no, Owen was the pack's Alpha and she wouldn't have had any reason to run off on her own, unless he told her she couldn't go with him.

This is actually much less heartbreaking than what I picked up from it, that Owen was still not happy with Blue letting the indominus Rex trick her into switching sides, and after they defeated the beast, Blue looked back as if to say "we're good?" And Owen, looking sternly, shakes his head "no" and she is sent off. But I actually like YOUR interpretation better, and will make that my new headcannon.

Blue was asking many questions to Owen. Where is the rest of our pack? Am I returning home? Are you coming with me? Is there more danger? Owen shakes is head no. Blue looks around unsure of what to do. Knowing that she is alone in a new world. Trotting off, she calls out one more time. Not only announcing her alpha status, but hoping to hear some reply.

My theory is that Blue was asking Owen if she could stay with him and his friends after the big fight. She had no one else to care for her, and she wanted to be with her alpha and his packmates. When Owen shook his head, Blue made a sad face before she ran off. I could see it in her eyes just before she ran off. She took his gesture as a rejection. This may explain why the tables were turned at the end of Fallen Kingdom. In that case, Owen *WANTED* Blue to go with him so that he could take her to a safe location. But, she rejected him and ran off instead. Thus, Owen now had a sad look when he saw her leave. I think he may have felt what Blue had felt at the end of Jurassic World. To me, that makes the most sense. My two cents.

Personally, I interpret it as “can I come with you? ''And there, he simply tells him: ''no'' because he knows that his place is here and not outside the island like Owen (humans). He frees him to make his own life. Owen knows it's best for him and Blue understands that. This is why when he leaves the island, he stays near their cabin. He lives his life while remaining close to his family (Owen)

I always assume Blue was looking to Owen for approval like "did I do good?" which Owen shook no to, because in dominion, Owen goes yes, which means Blue did do good, this is sort of explained in Dominion, sort of.

I’ve seen Jurassic world all of once and this was essentially what I concluded. I won’t get into it since you already broke down beautifully how most other theories do not make sense within the context of the scene and what we know not only about Blue and her intelligence but hers and Owen’s relationship. To me the interaction has never left much open to interpretation especially given her response to Owen’s “No.” gesture. I’ve always assumed Blue had looked to Owen to essentially ask Am I coming with you/Following you? And Owen tells her with his gesture a definitive No. her response? A little tilt of her head, then she leaves on her own. It’s not quite where you landed but broken down it’s more or less the same conversation. Till this video I honestly wouldn’t have thought there was that much to debate about it but given all the theories there apparently are it’s interesting to hear the number of ways it’s been interpreted 😯 Also just wanted to say it’s my first day finding and binging your channels content and I can genuinely say you’ve made my work day go by so much faster have made it so much fun, your hard work is very much appreciated and I’ve been having a blast, can’t wait to watch more 👏💚

It's easy. Blue asked Owen if she could go with him, but he said no, so she went to live in freedom. Then in Fallen Kingdom it was Owen who wanted to keep her with him, but Blue was used to living in the wild, so this time she was the one to refuse. In Dominion, Blue thanked Owen for saving her daughter and it showed that there was still a bond between them.
