I was blown away when his character was killed off. I have to admit though that I loved his parting line " I missed you Cade, let's go fishin' ". He was finally reunited with his brother. I did miss the following week but I was ill. I tuned in this week and everybody on the show seemed as bummed out as I was. I am thankful he is going to be with his beautiful family. The children grow up so very fast and the Father in the home is extremely important. He is well loved and will be sorely missed. He left some big shoes to fill. I am glad they won't try to slip in another person into the character he created, that would've been a mistake. Best wishes Lucas, we love and will miss you. God bless you and yours!

Exactly. I raised my kids after my wife and I divorced. I truly enjoyed taking take of my 3 kids for 20 years. I would not trade it for anything. The stuff we did when they were young I'll always remember. They didn't ask to come into this world, so ya better take care of them.

Lots of people rag him because they thought he was trying for a New Orleans accent. Nothing could be further from the truth. His accent was pure Alabama, just like his character. As far as accents go, absolutely none of the characters has a true NOLA accent.

Very early on, he was offered a major role in a film, but was told he would have to loose his Alabama accent. He turned down the part, saying he was proud to be from Alabama and vowed he would never give up his accent. That's something I've always liked about Lucky, he's true to his word! When he said he'd be up at 4:00 AM to go bass fishing, he was always up and ready to go when we got there!

Will really miss LaSalle. I think losing his character won’t be a shot in the arm for NCIS New Orleans but instead another thing that will bring it down. LaSalle was such a vibrant character. Loved his interaction with the “city mouse- country mouse”. As I said, he will be missed.

I love them all! I was really upset when LaSalle character died. I couldn’t understand why he left. He was a dedicated NCIS officer. He had a great sense of humor, & made made look forward to the show along with the others. Now that I know why, I do understand. He will be sorely missed. I wish him & his family the best. I think it is fine for him to take time off to spend with his family because he would have regretted not being there after his kids are grown. However, am I the only one that is a little skeptical about how much he was supported in that decision? I mean, really, "we're behind you guy" but then they kill off the character, ensuring that he will never be able to return. He was my favorite character, and the main reason I watched the show, so I'm pretty sad about it. The show won't be the same without him.

Having a hit tv show is tough to walk away from. Many do so and it does not work out. There are so many actors that would kill for that part. As an actor they should know for 23 plus weeks you are busy. I give him credit for walking away for family sake. Hopefully many years in the future he will return to tv if it works out and stay. Just look at baklava and Harmon who know they have a good thing are older and get producer credit. Even david McCollum in his 80’s knows it is to good to give up.

This is a very smart move for nice New Orleans. Because it gives more opportunities for different actors to come on and follow more story lines. Even if he doesn't want to be back on the show, I still wish they would have let him live and have his character not be able to handle being a NCIS agent and the business at home, and so, leave the show to deal with the family business with the hope of coming back when he gets it all squared away, even if he never comes back. I have really liked him since I first saw him on one of my favorite shows, "American Gothic", the movie with agents Skully and Muldoon and the classic, "Slingblade". But, family is MORE IMPORTANT than anything. I wish him luck in whatever he does in the future.

First, Clayne Crawford was fired from Lethal Weapon. WTF!! Then, George Eads left MacGvyer which bummed me out. Now, LaSalle is gone. I kept thinking for the whole episode that Pride would realize he was suffering some kind of PTSD and that LaSalle would walk in but once I heard bagpipes, I got pissed:) Now, I'm watching Halstead on Chicago P.D. who just got shot and I screamed at the t.v. - don't kill him off, damn it!! At least they didn't kill off Pauley Perrette's character on NCIS although she says in cap letters she will never come back. I seem to be having bad luck with my favorite characters.

Love this show, mainly because of his character. I can remember watching Lucas play a young boy on a series called, "American Gothic", where he teamed up with his dead, angelic sister, to take on an evil/demonic politician. Fun show, missed it when it went off the air. Loved his southern drawl, then and as he plays in NCIS New Orleans. He's got an intriguing personally.👂🏼😆👍🏼💥⚡🌈✨

He came back at the beginning of Season 5 having lost 10-15 more pounds. I know that he and Shalita had been working out hard before that. She firmed up and still weighed 98 pounds (guessing about 5 pounds in muscle) but he lost it period. Scott lost weight too at the same time. He turned 65 this year and look fabulous.

I just now got to watch the next episode I had no idea he died I guess I didn’t finish the episode I saw where he got shot but maybe fell asleep I’m shocked, for real, he was a huge part of the show, I’m a die hard ncis fan, seen all epeosde of each series, all the ncis have fallen off the last couple years but New Orleans really hasn’t been pretty good ever season this will make a huge impact....family is important but man 6 seasons isn’t very long to me
