Even a company like Nike targets the young and athletic demographic. Their marketing is targeted, not generic. And it's Nike, a brand everyone has heard of. If they have to target their marketing, you bet Johnny Nobody is going to have to do the same thing.

Very good video Rob, I mean Joe. I've been missing in action for a few weeks because of personal stresses but your video started playing on it's own as I got into my car and a listened on my way home and allowed the other one to play and I am grateful for the tips. I'll be focussing my energy into my business again now that I've resolved a few things. Btw, my fiverr website builder quit on me and gave me a refund so that's a project I'll have to take on my own. The first video I listened to explained perfectly why i chose print on demand and why I should necessarily mix that with dropshipping as I had originally planned.

So what if you have a niche with a brand with multiple designs that have nothing to do with your logo design, will that work? Is this the correct way to work POD? It should be a no brainer to not put your logo on a T-shirt if no one knows it. But what if you have a clothing line with several designs or a particular niche for that clothing line? Will that work?

Thanks Joe, I've watched two of your videos and have decided to wait and learn more before jumping in to this business. The question that really got me is "why do you want to do this?". Also, this type of business is being promoted by other "gurus" as being "passive income" but if I am hearing you correctly this business is like any other business that requires your full attention to become successful and to maintain that success, so it would be wise to honestly ask one's self how much time you are willing to commit to this venture. Also just so you're aware that sign behind you looks like it says "The POO POO With Joe Robert". The D looks like an O. Thanks for your honest advice.

I think some people seeing this could be confused and think that "branding/ building a brand" is bad. In the example of creating just a "logo brand," it really is though, that's just never going to work, no one is ever going to buy from a Facebook ad what they can find cheaper in the mall or from a big brand. BUT, branding your niche store is also the absolute best way you actually can make big money doing POD and the way you can actually charge a bit more money by adding that perceived value through branding. Building an Instagram following, and so on. Still doing targeted designs but also getting the branding part right is the way to go. It's going to take a lot more time to do this well, but if you are thinking long term, it's worth it. Anyways, great video and points!

EDIT: Nvm I wrote this right after I saw the part about the brand Tshirts.. nvm I guess I will do okay 🤦♀️ I think... I think I am trying to make a 'BRAND' with print-on-demand as you said isn't that great.. However I wonder what I am doing possibly can work, because I am not doing what those (just brand-logo) shops do. I keep thinking, would I buy this T-shirt with a random logo name on it? No.. This is what I do so far, however my shop is not open yet and I wonder if it's ok to make your Print on demand shop as a 'BRAND' if; - I brand name is ONLY on the Inside label. - I am an artist and I do many types of designs, but all are within one Niche. - I try to only do POD items that are related to my niche, However there is a few. - I don't want to stay limited to only one 'print' and I already have 15 print/different art on items. Is this okay? is it a higher possibility of a 'Brand' working this way?.. or maybe it's not a brand at all o_o I'm new to this, don't come for me 🙏

I think a lot of the people that try to create a brand line of clothing stems from the commercial of the 12-yo they claimed was making 6 figures by doing nothing more than selling a brand name that no one had ever heard of. Looking into it 6 months after the commercial, no site had a listing for the products or the brand name.

Hello group and Joe, im new to basically all this stuff, but very intetested in running an ecommerce store. My company is called "Adventurous Extremes" Ok.. Joe i heard you request that what sticks out to us in Video and our concerns. U say to be a successful POD store, we must make our brand loveable to those customers who mingle (sts) within the Niche of our Ideas, or Make our products With a strong Niche presence. And we must improve or if experienced, utilize our Marketing skills to their best. U said we should seek high margins of our products and utilize and have a good understanding of how FB Ads work. Also we should make sure we have good product images. Also why most beginners fail is our lack of proper strategies and lack of guidance and mislead by Gurus. Joe, you've opened my eyes a bunch as i've learned alot from you and i'm looking forward to participating in the FB group, if on audience participating videos. Although i have a legally formed LLC for my company with high hopes for it, it may not suffice its potential being only a POD store. I dont mean this rudely, its just that my comanies name (Adventurous Extremes llc) intriques the heck out of me and may suffice and succeed better as something else. But nevertheless, i want to pursue in my POD enterprise.. #ChefRob..

The thing abt the logo thing is ppl don't offer versatility I think. Bcuz obvious reasons, if they paid for the logo, I think they feel bound and stuck to it. So there's no other offerings. Those other designers aren't just a logo, Nike is a logo, and a saying. LV is a Logo and a symbol. You might not like there logo but you might like there saying. They give you, versatility, options, and personality. With the Mono Logo thing, just looking at the site's gets old and tired real quick. If ppl buy them would be one time purchases, nothing to come bck to. NoOne but the Owner wants to have their Single Logo in Every color but them

An excellent video. About the branding you just cannot compete against the big guns. I'm not a great fan of t-shirts. But some people keep saying go into the t-shirt market. However, it doesn't take an idiot to realise you cannot make a decent proft (if at all) on these type products. I've also noticed that different POD stores prefer a style of artwork. If you're not a cartoonist there's no point putting your stuff on a site like that. Interestingly, you keep on mentioning Shopify. (Maybe I should go check out your videos before I make any further comment on this) But it is a costly platform. What is so wrong with putting it on your own e-commerce website and linking your buyers via social media? Yes we all know we are running a business but sometimes you have to keep certain costs down as a beginner. There are some brilliant take-aways from your video. However, we all have to learn from our mistakes but it does help if we can take shortcuts by picking your brain. I also think with a lot of people (including myself) that we suffer from overwhelm and not understanding where we should start and with what we should start in our POD journey!
