Truth be told I still believe that battlefront 3 is going to happen. I just don’t want to say that “it’s never going to happen” because none of us know the future. Now will it happen anytime soon? Definitely not. If it did happen I’m going to assume that it would be made 5 or 7 years from now(under EA). i dont think its the stigma really matters in my opinion. As messed up as it is to say, gamers have pretty short memories on these kinds of things when you make a pretty decent game. If they make BF3 to be everything that BF2 is currently + more...nobody is going to remember how bad BF2 started out. But it doesn't matter, EA/DICE doesn't want to put any time or effort into making a lot of their games and they're struggling. The stigma matters in that they can't think about lootboxes ever again when it comes to battlefront.

Why are people shitting on DICE? DICE fixed the game single-handedly after EA’s lootbox debacle, despite having their team cut in half midway through the game. It was the devs hard work that got us to where we are, but we lost it all when EA decided to pull DICE to make Battlefield 2042, which was a pile of garbage anyway. It’s 100% EA’s fault.

The "Stigma" of P2W games imo is a good thing, and it should happen to more games. Game developers and publishers got away with pay to win/microtransactions for far too long. Exactly what I have been saying like a large scale battlefield you can fly to the ground and fight in a on the ground battle and then fly up and fight in the sky and space and go into enemy warships. It could easily be made but the lack of caring is why we need someone else to do it. Like small time devs and people that will do anything to make the game the best game possible. EA doesn’t care about anything but money and power. They don’t care if the games good or bad. They care how much it’s going make them. Dice is the company that should never be hated they tried their best but got screwed the EA. Dice is the better studio but if they would leave EA they would be a 1000x better.

OG Battlefront 2’s Space Battles weren’t perfect but I feel like the limitations at the time held it back from being so much more. Overall it was still one of the coolest damn things we could do: space dogfights and breaching an enemy spaceship to destroy it from the inside while fighting other enemies guarding their ship. It’s cool how Supremacy’s maps are huge and some maps involve starfighters to fight up above the action going down on the ground…but I was so disappointed that we couldn’t breach spaceships like OG BF2. I don’t really bother playing with and against star fighters at all because it honestly feels that much more boring despite the space gameplay looking and being cool. I remember OG BF2 has a space map that was located on a moon and we were able to use vehicles to travel from one section of the station to another or travel within the station. That was another really cool concept that wasn’t seen in EA BF2. This game just had so much damn potential and the next Battlefront has so much more potential now thanks to EA’s BF2 for showing us how awesome looking and fun it can be despite the ugly flaws, mistakes, and history it carries. However EA obviously cannot do this again, they’ve screwed up too many times. I feel like another studio should pick Battlefront up and deliver the love letter to Star Wars fans by developing a true spiritual successor to OG BF2 with all kinds of content from the Old Republic, Galactic Republic, Galactic Empire, New Order as well as content from The Mandalorian, Rouge One, Book of Boba Fett, Kenobi, etc.

Most of their mistakes and the positives of recent Battlefield games were possible because of Ripple Effect (formerly known as DICE LA) who has been cleaning up DICE’s mess since Battlefield 3. I don’t know if they’ll ever leave EA so I personally think that the next Battlefront needs to be done by a studio that can deliver a true love letter to Star Wars fans by giving us a good Battlefront game with content going as far back as the Old Republic to everything we have now. The potential is insane and EA hasn’t been capable of delivering those kinds of expectations for a long time.

So yes, they have proved over and over again that they can nail an FPS game. You may not personally like Apex Legends, but there's no denying that it's one of the biggest, consitent and most popular shooters out right now. Respawn can make a good FPS.

That is exactly, what I would want. A fresh reboot under the helmet of another publisher and studio. The phrase of Battlefront 2017 (infact that could be said about both of EA's Battlefronts) is still "much potential was left unused" and when looking into the future that is not a bad thing. The potential of another Battlefront reboot that is not rushed in developement because of a movie release date is insane. P.S. Let us be honest, both of EA's Battlefronts were rushed to meet the release dates of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi and (although it had more content at launch) I think the rushed developement could still be felt in Battlefront II 2017. There is something that Battlefront 2015 did just do right in terms of atmosphere. Battlefont II had more content, but the feeling was never as intense - for me - as it was in Battlefront 2015. They clearly went a bit into the direction of quantity over quality in Battlefront 2017.

I recently started playing Battlefront 2 and I think it is incredibly fun. I've never been much for multiplayer shooters before but this is by far the most fun I've had playing one. The grand battlefields, great balance, heroes and vehicles, great space combat. This game gives you a great starting place to improve, compared to other fps games where you get wrecked immediately and get tired of it quickly. If they don't make Battlefront 3 it would be a damn shame. But if they do I hope they will consider this. - First, since EA seem to value microtransactions and money over time a lot, add the option to buy cosmetics. I bet many people would buy different outfits for the heroes and the soldiers. I put this here only to increase the longevity of the next game (from EAs point of view). - Add more Jedi. If you are going to include heroes that I've never even heard of from then they should also include Mace Windu, Ki Adi Mundi, Kit Fisto, Ayla Secura. Basically every hero from the classic battlefront 2. - Now with many heroes they should limit the heroes that you can choose in battles to the one who lived at that era. - It was nice with a campaign, but I would like to see another campaign that follows the entire star wars saga, like in battlefront 2. - During space battles make it possible to board the other sides capital ship and blow it up from within. - Reintroduce galactic conquest from bf2 - Some mode where a space battle and ground battle takes place at the same time would be nice

The real issue here is EA. These guys are Negligent on a scale rarely seen before. They are not professionals, but the stereotypical people (The ones who do the bad decisions, not all of them) that are too focused on milking money out of your bank account. they don't see talent, they don't see potential, they only see profit. As BF2042 showed, they will act in denial and simply deny the existence of such a failed game, and deny the fact that it is a mess that is beyond repair. They are as unreasonable just as they are stubborn, and as scared, as they are willing to force their games to have microtransactions. There is no one word that can describe their pure negligence to the community, and blindness to the problem. They are nothing more than a grown child who only want to benefit themselves, and alike other big gaming companies, refuse to be original, and refuse to take risks, instead relying entirely on a tried and true method, despite the fact that there is a game out there yet to be made, that will be the best game they crated. On behalf of those who used to love EA, but hate them now: We loved you, but like time has foretold, our differences set us apart. What would of made the 2nd one good would be a few things in my opinion. 1: vehicles are vehicles and not characters. You can get in them or out of them. 2: heroes classes are not gods. I think they are way over powered. 3: special soldier classes should be 1st or 3rd person not just 3rd. I love being commando but hate having to play 3rd person. 4: ground and air combat together. These are my main gripes. I know not everyone will agree with me and that is ok.

Only the 2042 case is worse than battlefront 2042 was just genuinely not ready and lacking and awful in terms of specialists. I will buy a future battlefront because the gameplay is great. Just my take

Its not dead completely. Just depends on the time of day. But yeah theres usually like maybe 2 40 player games up at busy times. Hero vs villians is ez to get lobbies for.

The first two were kind of shallow. They looked pretty, but when you consider the base game mechanics and the tactical options of the maps, they were kind of simplistic and crowded, even compared to the original ones.

We know how effed up these games are when EA is giving it its focus. When EA moved on and left a small team on it to appease Disney is when things were getting better.

Dice needs to return to Battlefront 2 for multiple reasons 1. Bug fixes 2. Content updates (New reinforcements and heroes, new skins as well (*cough* hooded maul), maybe even emotes that reinforcements can do) 3. Crossplay.

Stigma is a serious issue when it comes to these kinds of games, Take Marvel Avengers for example. It was pretty bad off start and people blindly hate on it today, But nearly every problem it has been fixed. It’s just difficult to see what games like Avengers and Battlefront could be if they where given a proper second chance.

I feel like its similar to the titanfall series. Both battlefront 2 and titanfall 2 went through bugs, hacks, boths fanbase really want a sequel and both arent getting it anytime soon if at all, and both had rough launches, they could have been so much greater id they had had a sequel or some more support at least.

Honestly just make a custom character creation on the dark and light side can choose a variety of custom choices Can use a blaster Sniper or a special gun Lightsaber models and can choose a fighting style the more you level up the more you can optimize your character ofc
