I remember when EA/Dixe specifically said that the reboot would not be starwars battlefield. Yet thats exactly what they made. A cheap creation using the original name as free hype fuel. Basically nothing remained of what made the old games great.

Battelfront EA was great, was a MP game. Same as titanfall. The speederbike thing was great top notch, think the survival was very fun. Battelfront EA 2 was fantastic, except for the peederbike. People need to stop haring because EA made them fantastic. Plants vs zombies MP only , played the first great game....second i tried, single player i stopped. I want to plug and play....😢

I prefered Battlefront 2017 when it had capital supremacy. That was the most fun game mode they had and they removed it.

2 things to note that weren’t talked about 1. XL mode, which was a mode that allowed hundreds of bots to fight on the larger maps, is coming to all platforms, after being PC exclusive 2. The game is on sale for around $30 until the launch date.

The online support alone is worth $60 for me. The first 2 weeks is going to be so nostalgic. Like many of you, Im sure, BF2 was my introduction to online play on the ps2, 13 year old me couldn't get enough. Now, as a 30 year old man, I can experience the chaos again with my own son watching. So happy about this, I instantly sent the trailer to my friend who I used to play Battlefront 2 with, and we haven't been this excited about Star Wars in a long time! Don't get me wrong, I loved the Jedi Survivor games, but being single player it literally is what it says on the tin. We play them individually, have a great time and then that's it, because of how times have changed we don't see each other in person that much so we don't even get the chance to talk about them. Can't wait to have that party chat open and shoot some clankers with the boys!

This is a step in the right direction. There’s no developer currently working on a battlefront 3 BUT maybe when studios see how successful this will be they’ll be intrigued. Thats what I’m hoping happens within the next few years. They touched up the graphics a bit with this remaster but I think since the game came out in 2005 theres not that much they can do. I could care less about the graphics tbh but Imagine a Battlefront game with the game modes/gameplay of BF2 (2005) and the graphics of BF2 (2017) 😭 maybe one day

I used to play them all the time when I was little back when I had my PS2. But back then I could experience the online aspect of the game, but now, I will be able to.

The Xbox Version already did this with including the DLC for Both Games and the increased Anti-aliasing. The only thing I'm seeing out of this upcoming release as "New Content" is just the Working Multiplayer Support.

I'm scared. I have more than 1000 hours, probably more in BF2 2005. The fact that they saw this as a the best option, mainly to use nostalgia as the driving force... Also, the 2005 classic _still_ has multi-player support through gamespy.

This is the first game I pre ordered in 6 years. I grew up playing this on the ps2 but was too young to really understand anything or even play online. I’m so pumped for it. 7:20 another thing to note: a lot of people do not like the Disney era of Star Wars, so they’re happy to go and play something that focuses only on George Lucas’ era of SW. In my opinion that is a HUGE reason that people are overwhelmingly positive about this.

One of the reasons battlefront is so popular is because you could play massive battles both on and offline and just have casual fun. If they plan on making a 3rd game I hope they focus first on the single player because I don’t want it to be like EA’s Battlefront where it became a generic fps shooter. They can still have multiplayer but I think it should be secondary.

Nah, I play battlefront for the multiplayer. What they should do is greatly improve upon galactic conquest, the physics, and Ai so that the galactic conquest behaves like an infinitely replayable campaign. Have the AI’s generate their own personalities and have things that happen in the match influence their behaviors. Allow the player to talk to these Ais with a mic. This will likely be possible by the time a battlefront 3 goes into development

I always got clones to follow me. Pretty sure you can do with droids too. That was one of my favourite things to do, especially getting a squad to join me on one of the space battle missions and landing in the enemy docking bays 😂

I'm not sure about this guy's opinion on the newer Battlefront games, but I didn't like them because it didn't have the same feel as the OG games. the only thing i hope they change about the space battles is for the AI not to spawn in ship in space made leaving your dock a nightmare at the beginning of a round you'd just get blown out of the sky in the first second due to how the AI was spawned in i hope they force a dock spawn for them

I think the best thing they could do to add to these OG games is to allow hunt on all maps too and let you choose which species to choose for the two fighting factions. Imagine Wampas Vs. Tuskens on a map like Mustafar? Like, just simply give the players all available options possible when it comes to match settings and gameplay. It’d be soo damn cool

Man, Aspyr has been on fire when it comes to the Remaster space, first Tomb Raider now Battlefront 1 and 2??? In the words of Darth Vader, "most impressive." Apparently the Asajj DLC is actually a mod, and it's an outdated version, the mod creator stated. Aspyr is using an outdated user mod as official DLC.

As a single player exclusive gamer... these games are incredible. if you want multiplayer, they're great. The perfect Battlefront games are ones that have a ton to do for both groups of gamers. The originals do that perfectly. Especially 2. Glad to see these getting renewed love, though I'll likely stick to my heavily modded original version on GOG. Unless they add the restored maps to Galactic Conquest. Then I'm in haha.
