Just avoid broke people, broke in spirit, broke in morals, broke in attitude, broke in intellect, broke in imagination...and live your fab life.

I’m glad I don’t suffer with this issue!!!! I’m regular-regular but the hubs and I just realized we’re only a few thousand dollars from being cash millionaires. I think I’ve experienced being snubbed by a few others.

Yes, speak on it!! I totally agree that we have to stop doing this to each other. The answer to why most feel uncomfortable seeing someone in "luxury" is due to jealousy and most importantly that crab in the barrel mentality. **A little history lesson I learned in my class. There's a document by Marcus Garvey I read called 'The Negroes Greatest Enemy' and he talks about how he had so much push back from African Americans when he tried to advance the race on a global scale with the organization's he was building. It was written in the early 1900s so that lets you know how far back the scarcity mindset has been thriving. I think if we rewire the psychology (or just begin normalizing it), half of the issues present wouldn't exist.

Good talk and yes some blacks have an issue with seeing other blacks being better than them. And this has to be normalised so there is more black progression.

Why do people always assume that BW cannot afford nice things?

Chances are because they are broke too and can’t imagine us having more than them. Like employees at higher end stores or the staff at exclusive places.
