Jereed B Steph's the 2nd best all-time PG behind Magic and in front of Stockton,J.Kidd... and in 2015 defeated LeBron before other teammates got better. Without Durant Warriors win in 6 in 2018 finals against LeBron but Steph has Durant whom LeBron can't stop. Kobe and LeBron can't play with alpha teammates trying to take their shine like Kyrie in 2016 when he became the closer, and Kobe trying to out alpha Shaq,Steve Nash, Dwight Howard...that's why Harden and LeBron wouldn't of worked in Houston...he had to go to LA with no alphas's...Jordan can't get Durant or Kyrie to come play in N.Carolina, maybe he can get the #1 pick Zion Williamson 2019 draft.

9Master_Mind3 Jordan and Kobe are 2 DIFFERENT PLAYERS. Yes Kobe stole some of Jordans moves, just like Jordan stole Julius Ervings. Jordan was THE FOUNDATION OF KOBES GAME. Kobe mixed Jordan and Hakeems footwork and made IT HIS OWN later on HIS CAREER. Footwork is similar but VERY DIFFERENT too. I would say Kobe has the better FOOTWORK OVERALL, but Jordan had BETTER COMPOSURE. Mentally the SAME but DIFFERENT when to approaching the GAME. Both were SERIOUS but Jordan had more composure than Kobe. Ur tripping man, Jordan and Kobe have different personalities. Yes both were demanding leaders, and serious when it came to basketball Kobe is more a lone wolf while Michael was more outgoing in their careers. ATTITUDES ARE DIFFERENT MAN, mannerisim ? Different too man. Smh. Stop believing in all these narratives. Smh. Wall, Talk, celebrate like Jordan ? Wtf ? LeBron celebrated js like THEM but no one says ANYTHING They just very COMPETITIVE, were SERIOUS when it came to what they LOVE to PLAY, AND BOTH WANTED to be VERY BEST TO EVER PLAY. Kobe Black Mamba look Is nothing like Jordans man. Smh. Kobe just walks like he always do and now he walks like Jordan ? Y'all too funny. Jordan and Kobe were the ultimate COMPETITORS. Jordan was more ATHLETIC than Kobe ever was, but Kobe was more CRAFTY. Smh . y'all tripping.

9Master_Mind3 Y'all TRIPPING. Shaq got swept in the finals in 1995 with a SUPERTEAM. Lost every single PLAYOFFS from 1996, 1997, 1998 , and 1999. Kobe was better in 2001, 2002, and 2003 . Shaq ONLY made it past the PLAYOFFS BECAUSE OF KOBE. SMH. Shaq can't shoot free throws, 3 POINTERS, JUMPSHOTS, or even dribble the ball down the court 😁😁😁 Ok a 22 year old shooting GUARD in his second season as a STARTER who average 28ppg in the REGULAR SEASON, and 29PPG in the postsesson got carried ? Swept the first seed Spurs in the West FINALS ? Matter of fact Shaq was about to lose another CONSECUTIVE playoffs but Kobe saved his ass in game 7. Matter of fact Shaq got outplayed by Tim Duncan ever since 1999 PLAYOFFS. Kobe was the REASON Shaq even made it past the Spurs in 2001, 2002, and 2004. Smh. Not one team from the EAST in the FINALS had a center that can match with Shaq . But in the WESTERN PLAYOFFS Shaq gets out played by Tim Duncan, Rasheed Wallace, and Chris Webber. Adidas pushed the narrative of Kobe being the next Michael because they needed a guy who can really put their brand on the map, similar in size, he had the mannerisms, charisma. Alot of people really don't know this story and I had read about it in the biography Showboat. His game is different from Michael with some elements he patterned. On top of that his range extended beyond to where he can just rise up and shoot from at least 30 feet. Besides Kobe took more shots than he drove even he was great at driving while Michael used to play closer to the basket and use the midrange. Those guys are more different than people realize, it was all media driven. Jordan edges Kobe in athleticism slightly, Kobe's athleticism to me is more underrated. I've seen him do things I don't think Michael had ever done and vice versa. Great video as always bro

Dean Blue ..... Listing stats, especially those stats dont really say much. Add context. I can counter you with some career stats as well, here you go: Kobe - FT% - 83 Kareem - FT% - 72 Kobe - 3PT% - 33 Kareem - 3PT% - .05 Kareem - Strictly a paint player. He was obviously a center. FG% will ALWAYS be higher with paint players than a perimeter player. That stat however doesnt measure skill and thus you cant state it without context. Its meaningless. Kobe - can score from any spot on the court. Kobe was a more skilled scorer (shooter, footwork, spins, fakes, handles) and because he was faster and smaller, defended man to man better and was a better passer, not because of assist stats, but because he had better court vision. Kobe is only second in the most skilled players in history. Jordan is 1st. Kareem had more career points because he entered the league avging 28 pts per game as a starter and as a 22 year old after 4 years in college. Kareem also played over 200 more games than Kobe. Kareem holds the league records for minutes played and field goal attempts. Kobe was a 12 time all defensive team selection. Kareem 11. Kareem played in a league of a lot less teams, and in the 70s with a lot less skilled competition than Kobes era. I hold Kareem in high regard amongst all time centers, Lakers, and league players, but Kobe was more skilled. Last detail, MVP awards were voted upon by the media when Kobe played. Kareem won all his MVP awards in a time when PLAYERS voted. That award now means little to nothing.

Davion Rison 😂 copy and paste comments about stats. Gotta love this nonsense on youtube of people who know how to use a mouse. Use context with stats. Totals stats dont tell you the whole story; not where a player scores from, the techniques and skill used, if a player was dealing with injuries at the time or the level of defense the player was playing against, and wont tell you the system the player played in, whether it was point guard centric like Lebron or team ball movement centric like the Triangle in LA. You should also know, since your listing stats, that PER VORP and WS stats have alot to do with conparisons between league averages, other players in similar positions, and the player in question. It doesnt account for age, skill level, or system the other players play within. Theyre flawed stats. You want to look at stats, fine, but use your eyes and use context. And people who know basketball also know that MVPs and FMVPs are voted on by the media, not the players like they used to do back in the day. So that means nothing. BUT, all defensive teams were voted on by the coaches. Coaches who know the game and design offensive schemes to counter team defenses and particular players skill set. Those same guys voted Kobe to 12 all defensive teams, Lebron, to 6. How is that? And Lebrons the best "all around player"? Also, dont forget about Lebron missing the playoffs twice when he entered the league. Dont forget his entire 2007 postseason where he avg for the entire playoffs 41% and then in the Finals went for 22ppg on 35% shooting with 6 turnovers PER GAME!! Or his entire 2008 postseason where he went for 41% again for the playoffs and lost to Boston in the 2nd round after shooting 35% from the court and 23% from 3. And he avg 5 turnovers per game in that series! Or his 2009 postseason, despite having the best team in the league and the Coach of the Year, Mike Brown, Lebron fell short. Against the Magic, he shot 29% from 3 and avg 4 turnover a game, even with the refs help, living off the foul shooting that series. In Game 6 against the Magic, either win to see another day or go home, dude shot 8 for 20 which is 40% and went 2 for 8 from 3pt, 25%, 64% from free throws and played no defense. 😂 Or having a top ranked team in the league but missing the finals because in the 2010 conference finals Lebron gave up on his team. Game 4 he shot 22pts - 38% total and missed ALL 5 of his 3 point shots. Game 5 he shot for 15pts - 21% and missed all 4 of his 3 pointers. Game 6, 27pts on 38% shooting with 9 TURNOVERS. 9? Really? He gave up, just like how he did before going into overtime of Game 1 in this years Finals and like how he did this offseason, jumping ship everytime he gives up on his teammates. Or better yet, gutting the team of coaches or players before the trade deadline to get rid of guys who expose and disagree with Lebron. Or how about his 2011 Post season when he was outplayed by Jason Terry, Dirk, and his own teammate Dwade! Or his entire 2015 postseason trash, 41% again. Dude was trash against Boston, Chicago, Atlanta but was carried along repeatedly because of Kyrie, Love, and JR. Then in the finals against Golden State, dude shot 39%. And 68% from the free throw line. Dude, how the supposed "greatest" cant shoot free throws? Kobe sustained a 83% ft pctg his entire career. His stats actually got better in the postseason, unlike Lebrons. And after all this, Kobe has 5 rings, Lebron 3. You can complain about Kobe having Shaq and Phil but at least Kobe played within a system, he was unselfish enough to defer to the most physically dominant centers in the league at the time. And Shaq absolutely could NOT win any of thise rings if Kobe was not on that team because of his great defense and perimeter shooting. Defenses hated them both because you had to double team both guys! Lebron had MULTIPLE allstars on his teams to win. And was Dwade not an mvp candidate one of the best players in the league at the time and former champ? Bosh, top 10 allstar? Same for Love and Kyrie. Same for Ray Allen. And hes had great coaches but they were eventually fired and replaced. Mike Brown, David Blatt. Lebron stat pads and is the pioneer of that. He hurts his teammates because of it. Guys who could otherwise postup, playmake, iso, rebound, they all become spotup 3pt shooters. Thats selfish and inefficient. Thats why Lebron cant beat great teams without multiple allstars who demand attention by defenses. Lebrons system is 1 dimensional and predictable. He himself is a 1 trick pony, layup or dish out. No post game, no consistent shot, no dependable free throw abilities to help late in games, hardly plays defense anymore, is a crybaby to the refs and gives up on his teammates and coaches regularly. Hes not even close to Kobe and especially not to MJ. Cant be and never will be. For more stats, which yall Lebron fans LOVE staring at I recommend this video. This dude did more research..... kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqnOpJ6Aoa58a5o

I call bullshit! Kobe studied MJ’s game, swag and entire being long before Adidas approached him with an offer. There’s no way he could have got the voice, the walk, the moves, the tongue, the mannerisms and all in that short of a period of time. That took year’s of studying, practicing and copying. R.I.P. Kobe but there’s only one 🐐 MJ

Why is it when inspiring greatness it becomes looked upon like a bad thing? We've been echoing "be like Mike" for years and suddenly someone becomes one and haters hate. I honestly don't get it. If mj's inspirational have players looking up to him, understand that they, in return, can potentially emerge like him. It's an end result that should be understood and accepted for what it is.

Meh, his game is as much different as it is the same. To the naked eye, my martial art looks like another persons, but the trained eye sees it different. Kobe has better ball handling skills, Michael has better footwork. Kobe has better shoulder swinging techniques to creat space, Michael uses a fast first step. Kobe is a better long range shooter, Michael a better hang time player. There are really many differences, but again to the naked eye you may think they are the same game wise!

Better footwork than MJ?? 😳😳 I wouldn't go that far. MJ definitely had the more explosive 1st Step no doubt, and I think Jordan used his feet more better than Kobe did. Jordan had better shot selection, everything just seemed so damn Smooth when he did his moves. Kobe just seemed to force it alot more.... I think MJ was able to read Defences better than Kobe. Higher Basketball IQ no doubt. Their games are so alike when you look at their moves but it was the Mind, the Mentality that separated Kobe and MJ. I really never believed Kobe was at MJ's level when it came to Basketball IQ.

Trey Hull Lol not many humans have the hangtime of Jordan...Dunking from the freethrow line isn't easy...guys do it with a foot or 2 or 3 in front of the line...JORDAN did it from the line...Kobe and LeBron couldn't do that or did they look for 7 footers to Dunk on like JORDAN always did...fearless Jordan, only Gary Payton, Garnett, BIRD, (whom told Dr.J to retire) came close to the intensity of the GOAT JORDAN...Draymond is getting there but unprofessional so it hurts the team like RODMAN except JORDAN'S true leadership from the late Dean Smith wouldn't let RODMAN screw up his team, unlike LeBron and J.R.Smith...or Kobe/ Dwight Howard...elite superstar leaders, lead and rise under the heavy pressure that makes other superstars you looked up to fold flat. Some would say like Damian Lillard,Greek freak, AD,DeRozen and Russ Westbrook of the 2018 playoffs and others rose like rookies Mitchell of Utah, Tatum of Boston and Philly's Ben Simmons...but the 3 kings, STEPH, LEBRON and DURANT aren't ready to give up their throne of dominance just yet.

Kobe was a carbon copy of Jordan, but he stepped it up 2.0 that's why Jordan loved his game. Kobe was as good or even better his offense was incredible, and his defense was a shutdown defender. If anyone who is not familiar about Kobe Bryant, look up his resume and you will see why Tim Duncan, Derek, and twice Steve Nash who won MVP's. Over Kobe. Did not have better number's, just better team records. He was robbed

Mr. Franklin Jackson i disagree. Jordan was a superior scorer to kobe. Especially in the playoffs. Jordan in his prime had an explosive first step. Sure he played closer to the rim but he was also one of the greatest mid range shooters. He was a lot more efficient compared to kobe. I don't blame kobe for patterning his game from him because MJ was the GOAT and you should always learn from the best.

A handful of players like Harold Miner, Ray Allen, Jerry Stackhouse, Ronnie Fields, and Grant Hill were compared to Jordan before Kobe. Even if the adidas thing were not true (their need for Kobe to be their MJ) I think it only natural, like the aforementioned, that Kobe an athletic shooting guard with good / flashy offensive skills and a similar build as Jordan get the comparisons (and deservedly so). But really the comparisons stop at mannerisms and some school yard playmaking abilities with the exception that Kobe shot the 3 better (with way more attempts) and may have been the better difficult shot taker / maker. Statistically Kobe's no where near Jordan nor does he come close when comparing advanced metrics. When comparing statistics, advanced metrics, and efficiency LeBron's the closest to Jordan.*(1) Ironically, Kobe's favourite player growing up was Magic but his style of play is best compared to Jordan and LeBron idolised Jordan but his style of play is appropriately compared to Magic! Footnotes: 1) Jordan is the GOAT!

Dafuq are you talking about? General consensus is that LeBron style of play is similar to Magic. You should try googling it, I certainly couldn't find anything backing your claim. Anyways see 3rd and 4th paragraphs of a recently published bleacherreport (link below) article. bleacherreport.com/articles/2783782-magic-johnson-paved-the-way-for-lebron-james-more-than-you-think

jeremiah walker Your exactly right, point 4 is what LeBron plays like, except can't turn players on defense like Pippen could...Jordan and Pippen are all-time top wing defenders but Pippens offense was no where near Grant Hill before injuries or LeBron...Kobe's fg % too low...LeBron doesn't have that killer instinct of Jordan in the last minutes of the game when all the pressure is on the leader...Shaq had it but couldn't make free throws down and had to be on the bench.

Game: But Remember MJ made his team from rock bottom, I’m talking about grandmas dirty basement rock bottom, When the Bulls were nothing. He developed the Bulls into what they were. Even SP (Scottie) interviewed and said Jordan taught him the game and developed him as a player he became to be. Repeat, Jordan developed Scottie’s game. Scottie said that, not you or me. KObe never did that. The Lakers already had a50 Greatest player (Shaq Shaw Redemption) who was already in his prime on their team. Without Shaw, 3rd best center of all time, would Kobe have 5? Oh and we all know MJ would have 8 rings if it wasn’t for retiring the first time, IN HIS PRIME folks! Leadership! Not just skills! hands down MJ. No comparison. Eye of the tiger, yes both (edge to MJ and I’ll toss in Tiger for kicks). Influence and intimidation and fear, MJ (I’ll toss in Lebron too). Shoes, Air Jordans are timeless and classic and my grandma still wears her ‘91’s at 91yo. First player to have his own shoe, surpassing the great Doc (my personal all time favorite player on the blacktop and the gym btw). I’m hungry, I’m going to eat my Funyuns now. But Kobe, you are in my new Top 50. RIP Mamba, prayers to your fam. And to all, tomorrow is not promised to no one. As Kobe said, Forgiveness is not just for the other person, but for yourself too.

That's a good story and I don't doubt the authenticity of it but the more simple truth is Kobe Bryant's idol was Jordan, period even though he ( for whatever reason) doesn't like to admit it. Magic Johnson himself always said that Kobe's idol is Jordan. Kobe himself said that almost 100% of his technique he learned it from Jordan's game. He also said at the press conference of his last title that he learned 90% of what he knows about the game of basketball from Michael Jordan. And you can't just create an act to this degree anyway if there wasn't any authenticity to that. Jordan and Magic have totally different game. Lebron would also love to play like Jordan but he can't. The truth is, like 99,9% (in the words of Allen Iverson) of basketball fans at the time, Kobe wanted to be like MIKE, period. It was perfect for Adidas and for Kobe.
