Josh, just wanted to say thank you for everything. I found your channel years ago. Left my career in law enforcement and pursued my BSCS at WGU. I did the transfer route you recommended. I am in my last term with wgu and landed a Remote Software engineering job. Work/life balance is amazing, pay is great, and more time with my family! I love what I do. Imposter syndrome is definitely real lol. Big struggle of mine. I would have never done this if I didn’t find your channel / followed your advice. Appreciate everything man!

I broke in to tech in August as Help Desk for major hospital in Houston, I followed your steps in Course Careers, and the hiring manager stated my GitHub portfolio stood out.thank you Josh.. now looking to move into GRC or SOC

Hey Tiffany, that is seriously so awesome, thank for letting me know and really good work on your hard work! For your GRC/SOC efforts, I actually started a new community that will help a lot with this. There is a free version and a paid version. skool.com/cyber-community (free) skool.com/cyber-range (paid) The paid version (cyber range) has access to a lot of enterprise security tools and an improved internship component. It’s pretty good and works well, I’ve been providing at least one employment reference per week these days. The cyber community (free) is where I want to centralize all communications, so definitely feel free to join and DM me there!

Love your reference in self growth with the way of the superior man. I think when you step out as a leader you should focus on purpose as well as the balance in managing tasks or environments as things change in a project or with a team. I had a prior supervisor role in a different field now in tech. Change and evolving is a constant whether in tech or life. Great book.

Hey Josh can you possibly do an updated “if you had to learn coding from zero” again, with courses you’d recommend now, with the takeover of AI, even in this market, etc..

If I take the course careers IT course, will I still need to get the Comptia A+ certification to get a job? I took the sales course and it was great. I broke into tech sales and now I want to do IT(now that I know more about the tech industry).

Josh, Thank you for your advice, needed that confidence to get my job. My question to you is what are some kickass skills that you respect?
@JoshMadakor21 күн бұрын
The skills I respect are not really marketable skills all the time. but I think people who can do malware reverse engineering and exploit development are very cool. Marketable stuff I respect is probably anyone who can endure working in federal or local govt lol...

I’m turning 37 next month and am very driven to enter the IT field. I have my A+ and want to ultimately end up in InfoSec. Would the Course Career’s program you’ve created still work for someone like me who is wanting to enter the field sooner than later?
