I wanted to let you know its been a little over a week since I found your videos. I was reaching out for mom encouragement never expecting to find such an amazing Christian example. I have been a mom for 6 years and want be be a good Christian example for my children. But in those 6 years my children have never seen me study and pray like I have been in the last week and a half. You're guidance and encouragement has quickly and tremendously helped me, my home, and my family. We all are blessed so much, simply because of you doing the Lords work! I get up earlier, I pray more and better prayers then before. I don't yell like I did before. I take up my cross and do the dishes and the laundry for the Glory of God. I've cooked more meals for my family. I've been through hard, rough conversations with family members and grew closer to them in Christ after. I never thought I had so much time on my hands. It feels like i am constantly right here watching you on KZbin with my Bible and notes, yet I have so much time to do all the things that need done, and all the while putting God first. I just cannot thank you enough. And don't get me wrong I am fully aware this is all in the Lord's will and all glory be to Him. But I want to encourage you to keep doing what you're doin because it's working!! 🙌

I think this is one reason people entered a monastery/convent in the middle ages. Or rather that was the purpose of these communities: to remove us from money concerns, business, and even family. We could debate all day the good and bad of monasteries and convents, but I think the original intent was a good one.

The real reason we don’t spend time with God is because we don’t want to, we put so much before what is the most important (time with God). We do and do things and keep putting off our quiet time or prayer time or Bible Study, I am guilty of this, because of sin or guilt or busyness, excuses take over our lives, the guilt lays with me not God, I am guilty of all.
