Good morning Andrew, the twins are looking so lovely, contented and healthy, what more could we want. The vegetables are so beautiful, we need red peppers presently and the stuff on our shelves are terrible looking not worth spending money on that, and if you find nice ones they cost a fortune. The harvest has been beautiful this year and the cauliflowers and broccoli is beautiful a pleasure to buy and eat. Happy harvesting, and yes, the cold is starting, a time and a place for all things in life. Love the bonding whilst picking. Kind regards

Beautiful harvest! I just cannot believe the level of comraderie in your family. My family fought! Terrible! I so wish we had what your family was able to create. How did this happen with so many different personalities. It’s hard to imagine! Is everyone an owner? But even the wives seem to fit with the clan. You’re a wonderful example of Christian love in a family. What is the heritage of your family as this does not happen by accident. This is hard manual work. Have a great day! 😋

Man oh man, I can't believe how your pepper crops have just kept putting out the peppers this year! Quite a difference from last year! Since I'm not a veggie farmer and haven't even grown a garden in like, 40 plus years, I have a question for you. Instead of worrying about the frost(s) or freezes, why don't you harvest all the peppers you can and sell them at the auctions? Or, are there a lot of local farmers doing the same and therefore, it's just not worth it? The same question goes for the sweet corn. I would really like to know. Thanks! Also, I so love all the wonderful sounds of your farm as you move around through the day. I especially love the din of the chickens as they vocalize amongst themselves when you're doing the feeding and egg collecting. That is such a soothing sound to me. And of course, all the sounds of the harvest. The snap of all the peppers as you pluck them from the plants, the snap of the sweet corn as you pull it from the stalks, the crunchy sound as you cut the cauliflower from the base. Such satisfying sounds!!! I appreciate how you actually make it a point to capture those sounds. 👍 I wish nothing but the best to all the veggie boys and girls!

We have 3 more weeks of growing tender plants here in our Mojave Desert community before first frost. We have hot summers and cool to cold winters but not too bad. Many nights of freezing weather but only 2-5 days of snow and or ice each year. Melts fast. Love those Pop-Pop memories of the Veggie Boys as true boys in the fields harvesting. Glad Grammy looks like her knee is doing a lot better. Excellent!

SXS needs new rear tires soon as well before you get another flat tire. Maybe ask them about some less aggressive tires that wear longer. Like some all terrain tires that are good on dirt roads??? Those others seem to wear too fast for only a couple years you have had the SXS.

@MrEgigas3 ай бұрын
With so many peppers left, this close to frost, you should just take the whole pepper plants. Cut the plants dirt line, leaves and all and bring them back to cold storage. That way you can recruit the entire family to pick the peppers off before they freeze and/or rot. Alternatively, you could use a tractor like the pea harvester to strip all the pepper plants. Either way, I would not like leaving that much product in the field just waiting for a freeze.
