I'm glad you had such a great time. I especially like that you addressed "lawless city" issue. Some come here stirring up trouble because they think no laws, but that ignorance can get people hurt. Most slabbers are peaceful, just wanna live their lives and most are willing to help when help is needed.

AWESOME Video Sarah! Thoroughly enjoyed meeting Coz and seeing his home and surrounding area and also enjoyed meeting Peter and seeing all of his Artful Homestead! I have known about Slab City and heard "Stories and Rumors and Gossip" about the City! You nailed Sarah...you can go anywhere and you'll see and find "the bad". It's looking past all of that and seeing The Good that wants to be seen and explored! Great Tour and YES, I'd stay for a weekend or more if I ever get back out West. I'm a Southern Cali Beach Bum Surfing the Ponds and Creeks in Ohio but I do get back home every few years....Slab City is going straight to the top of my List of places to see@ Cheers From Ohio

Doesn't look too bad this time of year. I am going to return in a couple years when I get my RV, and off grid equipment, maybe start a little farm on the canal and provide for some of the slabbers who need the help

Great plan! It floods and washes out on the southern canal. That was my mistake my first year, I got washed out within the first 2 weeks of arriving. I've been a part of Flamingo Camp since January 2020. I'm working on creating a food oasis with desert/heat loving plants, mostly perennials, especially the moringa tree. Also building an underground sandbag house, will be shaped like a beehive. Look me up when you get here, I go by the name of "Van".

Freedom is fine until someone builds a fire hazard next door. Would you be happy with someone raising smelly pigs upwind from you? They have nothing invested except their time. They can set up camp elsewhere if they wish. Selling a house and moving is not so cheap and easy.
