I have really only listened to Linkin Park after Chriss death. And realised i loved a lot of their material and Chester had this ferocious vocal, but would slide into this mellow vocal and pull it off w class and real artistic talent. And i really dont believe Chester took his life on Chriss Bday. Im sorry but i just dont buy the stories about these men. Oh and benzos are routinely given to alcoholics to stop them having seizures and potentially dying. And unless your taking really large doses, thats when people black out and do crazy shit. Taking a couple extra ativan does not generally lead people to that place. Ive known a lot of people that took 20 benzos at one time and they would do crazy shit but a couple extra when ur already prescribed. Nah sorry dont believe the narrative. Yes benzos hit the same receptors as alcohol but its a little more complex than what were being sold. Conspiracy and murder? Wouldnt be the first artist to be taken out. Look into death clauses in contracts and sales spikes after the death of a star that no longer sells enough albums to satisfy these companies. Yknow Vicky comes off as being in touch w addiction but were supposed to believe bc he was slurring a bit she had his security break into his room. So, shes shocked bc she didnt notice he was apparently taking many diff drugs but a slightly slurring singer who had just told the crowd he looks fwd to the next nights gig, slurs a bit and tells her he took an extra ativan. And she freaks out and gets security to kick his door in? nah something smells fishy. It could have been auto erotic asphixiation that went wrong but not suicide. So sad. I could go on but u should get the point . Shit just doesnt add up. peace

@@blaumausfrau clearly you don’t know how depression effects the mind. They didn’t do so because they wanted to they did so because in their final moments they felt there was NO way out. Depression clouds the mind and makes us do things and think things that deep down aren’t us. You know when you see a movie or something where there’s that person in your head telling you to do things uncharacteristic of the character? That’s basically what depression is for a lot of people but instead of that voice just being someone else that’s a part of you telling yourself all those things. When all you can feel is hurt for years upon years especially when therapy and medication just stops working it makes it harder every day to feel like you’re worth the effort of saving. That’s why people do this. The only way to stop hurting is to unfortunately commit suicide. Is that the only way? Of course not. But like I said depression clouds the mid. Its not much different than getting drunk. Your judgement is poor especially in severe bouts of depression. The one big difference though is people choose to get drunk. People with depression don’t ask for it they’re just given it and it’s not so simple to cure.

Addiction is a horrible lifelong battle, but you can't give up and you can't quit life to escape your problems, especially when you have kids who depend on you and need you there. You have to keep fighting. Any time you feel like giving up, get to a hospital and tell them that so they can keep you and monitor you until you're back in the fight. I don't know if it's like that everywhere, but when my family member was battling addiction and felt like giving up, I took her to the hospital and made sure she told them flat out she was going to self-delete. They took her right into the psych ward. She was there for months while she cleaned up and that was the help she needed, she couldn't do it on her own. While she was there, she lost her job, her house, her car, most of her material possessions. BUT, she's ALIVE. She is doing well, good job, re-married, clean, happy, and that was almost 20 years ago. Those things she lost were temporary setbacks and didn't matter one bit considering her life was on the line. Sometimes you need to be isolated and kept away from the influences and sources for your addiction. That is the single most important thing in your life at that time, even if you have to walk away from a job, a tour, a contract, whatever it is. Don't keep putting it off. Don't give up, seek help. You can't always do it on your own but you have to communicate and ask for help. You CAN do it.

Thank you for putting together & posting this honest-to-the core moving tribute about both their personal lives, struggles & the undeniable bond they shared...which I personally believe they are STILL sharing right now on another plain. Some connections can NEVER be broken & even in death I strongly believe they're still not only the best of friends but singing beautiful songs together from the other side. They were so very loved when they were amongst us & will ALWAYS be loved although they are physically gone of this earth. Their voices, talents & spirits(souls) have touched & inspired soooo many & I firmly believe that they'll continue to do so even tho they've been called home. There's something EXTREMELY IMPORTANT I want ALL of u to take away from how they left us...if YOU or someone you love is contemplating suicide, I BEG OF YOU to PLEASE reach out, either to a best friend, family member OR a professional. Please, whether u know it in ur heart or not, losing YOU(yes, YOOOUUU) will break someone's heart, possibly beyond repair & as much as u may be hurting inside right now I'm sure u don't wish that kind of heartache on someone who loves u that u love as well. So please, take a few moments, pick up the phone and call the FIRST person that comes to mind & talk, pour your heart out...and most of all let them help you, it'd come from their heart. Have a good night all & THANK YOU for reading this long post, I meant EVERYTHING I wrote, this came from deep in my heart & wasn't easy to write...and I wrote them from experience, from my own battles AND having lost ppl I've loved that didn't reach out. The last person I lost that took his own life happened 26 years ago & there are days when it feels like it only happened yesterday. Bless all of you, keep ur chins up, remember these 3 things too; tomorrow is another day-things can & more than likely will get better, you ARE stronger than you give yourself credit for ANNND somebody loves YOU! 💚💚💚***HUGS***💚💚💚

I believe that this is the greatest risk to getting too deeply entwined in each other's lives, to a point where even those interactions are a drug to the system. (Huge sigh) two very important artists in the tapestry of my life, and so thankful for the art they shared with the rest of us. The biggest thing to look for in people who are truly suicidal, is when they collapse within and withdraw from their normal acts and activities. The ones who talk, almost never go through with it. So talk to everyone you can if you see the signs, you don't have to know someone well in order to be the one who saves them from themselves. You just have to be there and be strong.

Conspiracy theories or not, without concrete proof they will remain just that. Depression is the devil that can exist in ANYONE. It's not always apparent. I didn't expect Chris Cornell to commit suicide due to depression. Chester certainly didn't keep his depression a secret but I was still shocked and heartbroken about his death. May they both rest in Paradise.

I remember waking up in the mornig, picking up my phone, and seeing the news about Chris' passing. I coudn't believe. I was like "no, no, no, not you man". I started singing Chris' version of "Thank You - Led Zepellin" and cried. It was the first time I ever cried about a celebrity death's, because he was like a friend to me, that through his music acompanied me through a lot. And then 2 months later Chester decides to follow him and I can't even begin to describe what it meant to me. My two all time favorite singers passed away almost together.

Amazing how the team who put this together spent so much time researching this specific topic and not speaking to what they were working on in their last weeks / months. What are the possibilities these 2 were working on a collaborative project? If so, what kind of project were they working on? Could this have anything to do with their demise? Likely, an issue with a lack of independent thought in "journalists" today, that used to be inherent. Eat the narrative that's spoon-fed to you, never pondering what other red-alerts could spread sunlight... hard pill 💊 to swallow. Just questions to ponder, Nemo... - Morpheous

Everybody's too scared to say what they really want to say so they're going with the narrative that these two amazing bright souls took them themselves before their time was due. Maybe possibly Chester was legit because Chester could have been afraid of them coming after him next. But that still would be an assisted suicide and also labeled as a murder. It's an absolute conspiracy and the travesty truly sickening who's really behind what goes on in this world! That's all I'm going to say aside from that thank you Chris for saving me from the horrible detrimental music that I used to listen to! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💯❤️❤️❤️❤️🩹

If you haven't experienced being an addict you will never understand how it feels to relapse. Its a shameful experience. If anyone has seen the last performance of Chris Connell it was obvious he was in a state of relapse. He knew he blew the performance and couldn't face the shame from how it turned out. Relapse is a time for growth and a person can become stronger because of it. Its a time to learn and grow and those who have never experienced an addiction set expectations based on the way they think how someone should recover, then judge that person and say things like you need to be strong, make up your mind and just don't do it. They think they are giving good advice because they have their shit together then make disparaging remarks that adds even more shame so much it becomes too much to bear for the addict. It amazes me that a person who can't even meet the expectations they have for themselves think they know what's best for a person they don't understand. How about shut the hell up and love that person and support them when they fall and realize you don't know what the hell your talking about. We all have a close family member who suffers with addiction and tend to make things harder for the addict because the clean don't know how to love the unclean, hell and they probably don't even like themselves. Neither does any one else in their life. I wonder if things would be different today if these men had the love and understanding from their loved ones that they needed to overcome the burden of shame caused by relapse. Or maybe they knew the "loved" ones were about to come down hard on them because their own shame and guilt they felt about how they were embarrassed by the ordeal? I could have taken more time and wrote a better essay but I didn't, I just wanted to get that off my chest, if you took the time to read then you can relate Both still live though they moved on.,RIP
