Love Chairon, he isn’t weighed down by the codex. He is very similar to Titus but inexperienced in his maturity which makes him even more relatable. He is the balance between Titus and Gadriel
@BehindTheVoicePodАй бұрын
That is true.
@SenseiRaisenАй бұрын
I think is becase of the impact he has for what happen in Calth and see what the Word Bearers did. Plus Titus was basically what they need to growth, so Gadriel learn to think out of the box (like he did with the Sword of Atreus and the necron Pillars) and Chairon to temper his hate against the heretics and don't let him get costume by it and used it as a fuel to fight against the xenos and the heretics.
@malcolm_in_the_middleАй бұрын
Also, the fact that he was on Calth means he's one of the original Primaris, made shortly after the great scouring.
@BennyAscentАй бұрын
I agree, but I also think it makes perfect sense as to why he is not a brother-sergeant and gadriel is. Being able to trust in your leader is important, but having conviction in what you know is equally important for leading astartes. Chairon never questioned his leader. Never gave a dissenting voice. Never stepped out of line because something was wrong - and even if Titus had good cause to keep it to himself (fuck leandros), gadriel had equally good cause to be suspicious of him, and its the ability to be the dissenting voice without shame that makes Gman respect characters like Aeonid Thiel, and even Titus. Mindless adherence and loyalty to their immediate structure is what unified the traitors, and is what left their loyalty to the master of mankind and humanity as a whole in the dirt.

Charion is this game's Sergeant Sidonus (Who was one of my favorite characters from the 1st game.) But what makes him great specifically is he isn't a 1:1 analogue for Sidonus, he's his own unique person whose personality and feelings come through his decisions, and even then those decisions aren't always right, like when his rage boils over with the Thousand Sons. This games arc for each character is defined by their personality in such a unique way. Things aren't perfect for Titus and the boys, but they're all better than they were at the beginning of their stories and it's because THEY, specifically, were together.

Chairon still the baddest mf'er in the game that isnt already in a dreadnought, or terminator armor. Titus out here kicking ass, while buffed by The Emperor (spoiler: you can hear him say "Rise son of Guilliman to Titus at the end of the game.") Meanwhile Chairon out here charging headfirst into Heretics and demons alone. Spotting heretic ambushes while everyone else is fooled, and doming possessed psykers while everyone else bickers. No big E directly looking out for him. No favor of a chapter master. Just a bad ass warrior all his own.
