Jessie Bates should've been the runner up for best defensive player. 12 tackles, 2 PDs, and 1 INT. One of those pass deflections was to punch the ball out of Devonta Smith's hands on a 3rd and goal to turn a TD into a FG. And the INT sealed the win by preventing the Eagles from getting a game-winning FG. Atlanta doesn't win that game without their All-Pro safety.

Geno Smith is statistically the 6th best quarterback in the NFL as of week 2. More importantly, according to a stat tracking service, he didn’t throw a single bad, off target ball all day. Not one! His receivers dropped a half dozen balls right in their hands. Look out for the Seahawks who sport the most talented team in all of football thanks to the Denver Broncos. I love The Way!
@ChewsCarefully3 ай бұрын
I know. Last season was Waldron's all the way. Geno was 4th-lowest in off-target throws so it wasn't him & that was him throwing in desperation a few times early in the season. After witnessing what Canales did first hand he somehow reduced Geno from 390 to 20 TD with the doubling of the talent in the receiving room. Darnell Wright was good last season. But at least _he_ might not be playing badly now due to Waldron. I think it's the HC. He's already shown signs of being a micro-manager to the extent of dissing players on the sidelines in games & expecting them to eat his waste. Did he think this was engendering a good team culture? Along with that he boasted without being asked about meddling in the offense (way back in early '22) including o-line plays. The o-line has its own coach. When the HC comes down & meddles in things, it makes it look to the players that the HC does not himself trust the very coach they hired/like a hole in a donkey. That's when the players know he's grumpy because he's grumpy, not because he's a motivator. Roschon Johnson was seen as the best Pure Rusher in the '22 class measured as being faster in games with the ball in his hands than in practice. A micro-manager needs to see things in practice. This might also be why Tyler Scott isn't getting to see the field. I think Eberflus, after scheming to get his & Poles' Picks into every key position thinks he can do no wrong now & is proceeding accordingly. The problem with thinking you _can_ do no wrong is believing you never did. They thought getting their offensive weapons stacked meant they didn't need o-line help &/or thought that because it was already full with Their Picks they had addressed it. Wright had games where he looked great if not élite last year but I saw many an o-line play where other players were getting screwed due to the play-calling. A favorite was they'd line up a TE so close to the T that the T couldn't step outside, then they'd pull the TE. So the T got a step behind the pass rusher, all the leeway any edge-rusher ever needed. They'd literally open up the space outside for them. Waldron wasn't there last year, so it wasn't him calling those.

it's a bit of both, college level doesn't prepare the Qb's for NFL. That Braelon Allen joke was solid! His first year at Wisconsin every announcer when he had a good run "HE'S ONLY 18 YEARS OLD!" Every week

Best glaze for a salmon. Take marmalade and put some extra brown sugar a shit load of blackened seasoning in it. once your salmon is almost done in the oven, spoon over the marmalade mix and broil till the glaze gets real sticky (usually a minute or two on hi broil)

I was also one of those people who turned off the game after the successful tush push, only to turn it right back on after I saw they settled for a field goal and gave Kirk the ball back with more than enough time to march downfield. Little did I know that decision would show me one of the greatest Eagles collapses.

JJ McCarthy is out injured for the season, and yet he is somehow the best rookie QB of the first 2 weeks of football.
