Being an IOP is quite the investment in terms of time and money. Started my journey in 2013 with my undergrad and finished my masters in 2019. Did my internship in 2020 and just recently wrote board exams. That’s almost 9 years invested in this qualification. But I wouldn’t change it for the world. It has been a rewarding journey…

Great video, I'm currently enrolled in HR management (BA programme) of which I'm going to complete in December 2023. I had thought about joining this IOP course. My concerns are: what will be the entry requirements? If I'm accepted which Ievel will I be put in, Bsc, Hrns, Msc?? And last, how long would it take to complete this course for someone with a degree in HR management 🤔

Hey new subbie here! I’m currently doing HR management in college and when I’ve graduated, done an internship then want to transition into IOP. What advice do you have for me? Is the transition possible or should I take another route rather? I love IOP.
@NthatiMonethi3 жыл бұрын
Hey new subbie😍😍, congratulations on your new adventure. Yes transition is possible. As far as I know, there is IOP that focuses on employee wellness and that of labour relations. The first 3 years of IOP degree is general course. When you do your honours you will decide whether you will major in employee wellness or labour relations. The transition is way possible and they might credit you on some courses. I had done BSc so I was not credited on any of the courses I did all of them. All the best Siya .

I advice you apply for a job in HR section first for experience. For you to be a qualified industrial psychologist you have to write a board exam after completing your masters. You will still get a job but not as a qualified psychologist, maybe an HR officer or wellness specialist

Is it advisable to study a Bcom (majoring in industrial psychology) , Badmin in industrial psychology or BA (majoring in psychology) as someone who has finished matric and looking forward to becoming an IOP ?
@aurathenomnom3 жыл бұрын
Most honours programs are easier to get into if you majored in IP, they also have a preference for people with a bit of statistical knowledge, so I'd suggest one of the first two
